  1. Not much of a game, not sure how team was picked, but it was obvious they had never played together. Squad not finalized til Wednesday before game. Only 3 boys from midstate first team, not a lot of talent on TN squad. Kentucky looked pretty good though, looked like they had been together awhile, which makes sense in that KY plays in the fall, team may have been picked earlier and had chances to practice together.

    All Star Game

any idea when roster will be announced for this game?
  4. Sounds like Manthrust needs to lay off the sauce and maybe sign up for some spelling classes. Other than that some fun stuff though.
  5. 9AAA Station Camp 2 Hendersonville 1 on golden goal in 1st sudden death OT.
  6. Station Camp 3 Wilson Central 2
  7. Kudos to Beech on this one. They took advantage of SC's inability to clear a ball out of box to punch one in. One of few times this year where SC didn't come to play in the 1st half and they paid dearly for it. Beech blocked a ton of shots in front of keeper, keeper made two outstanding stops, one on very well taken free kick by #9 on SC, another big stop late on volley in front by #3 SC. Beech played harder and got a good result. Congrats to them. Looking forward to district play.
  8. Hendersonville controlled the tempo of the game and dominated possession but just had trouble burying the ball. Station Camp came out and played a tough 80 mins though. Im not too sure Station Camp should of go a PK for that play there at the end but its the refs call. Great game never the less. Best of luck to both teams. Ptown, agree with your assessment of the game, midfield dominance by Hville created numbers all night, but SC did hang in there and was able to take advantage of a couple of mistakes. Regarding PK, if you remember SC scored on the play leading to PK, I was told by a player referee signalled goal, conferred with lineman and took it off the board, then awarded PK, bizarre play. Good news,I understand goalie for Hville is OK after collision. Another positive about a hotly contested match, I know we were both commenting on sportsmanship last week. For the most highly attended game I've been to this year, I thought crowd was exemplary in their behaviour especially for a rivalry game. I also thought the players conduct was great too, very cleanly played game. Don't have numbers but seems there weren't many more than a half dozen fouls all night.

    best juniors

Is he #2? If so, very good touch, always knew where he was going with the ball before it got to him. Nice player.
  10. Have to agree with Ptown on this one, Gallatin fans show very little in the way of either sportsmanship or knowledge of the game. After getting completely shut down in 2nd half of the SC game, it was all the ref's fault, despite the fact that they had only 1 shot on frame in the half and that was a weak one. I will say that Coach Harper showed a great deal of both when he praised the way SC took it to them in the 2nd half.
