  1. The game with Riverside-Camden is over. I wish people would just let it go. Although I didn't agree with the calls, mainly the catch for a first down at the end that was ruled incomplete....forcing us to "attempt" a punt. It's over now and if we are going to be second place in the region, I would much rather be runner-up to Camden than Lewis Co. taking the crown. Let's go Lions!!!

    Camden-35

    Lewis Co-7

  2. The Stangs may lose a game or two this season but I dont believe it will be to anyone in 6-2A.  If they do I will be the first to get on here and congralute that team, even if it is Riverside.  Good luck to the Panthers.

    GO MUSTANGS!!! thumb

I would just like to say that I meant no disrespect to Huntingdon by my comment. I know that you guys have one of the best programs in the state. Just being in region 6-2A, I feel the need to support our fellow teams against non-region opponents. I understand that you guys have tradition and I know that it will take more than one loss to kill your motivation. Anyway, thanks from the Panthers, and good luck Mustangs in 7-2A.

  3. I agree. A legit 4.6 is a good number for a kid in high school. There is only a handful of kids who actually run under a 4.5. People claim to run 4.4s constantly but the majority of that is a lie. Why do people worry so much about 40s? Just because you're fast doesn't mean you can catch, block, tackle, or most importantly...run well WITH the ball in hand. The 40 yard dash is the most overrated test period. It is not the most important thing. The play on the field is what matters. FYI Jerry Rice was a 4.7 runner, however he holds around 25 NFL records for receiving.

  4. Everyone, just overlook the posts by pantherpride79....he is giving Riverside a bad name. I can speak for the team in saying that we do have respect for Camden's program. We had the toughest schedule in the state last year and you guys were in the top 3 best teams that we faced. Camden is on the rise. I hope you take out Westview and then wipe the smile off the face of Huntingdon the next week.

  5. Let's see...... A little evaluation of the two teams.

Quarterback-- Advantage Alcoa........ Huntingdon is a running team

Running back- Advantage Huntingdon....... Alcoa has one good back. Dustin Lindsey, Huntingdon has a stable The big two Boo Weathers and Chris Donald. Over 4,000 yds between the two of them last year.

Speed--- Advantage Huntingdon. Both Backs are running 4.4s

Defense--- Tie. Last years State Championship game said it all.

    Talent overall positions- Tie

Kicking game---- Neither... Both HAD problems last year.....who knows

    Special teams--- Huntingdon..... Explosive!

Coaching.....Tie. Coach Reid and Coach Mansfield are two of the state's best!

Fan's ..... Tie Best fans in Tennessee are at Alcoa and Huntingdon

I will say this Alcoa is a Game up

I'll have to give the advantage to Huntingdon just because Huntingdon has the BEST runningback duo in the state (Speed and Power) thumb

Well.....the thing is....Huntindon lost some great players.....Alcoa didn't lose any great players. Huntindon lost last year with those players.....HMMM why do you think anything is going to change? The fact is....Alcoa is the best team in the state in 2A. There is no other 2A team that is good enough to beat them when they are on top of their game. Huntindon might have a great runningback duo....but Alcoa has 3 of the top 20 players in the state.

  6. I think its the Mack Truck, genius. And yes it all comes down to what happens on the field the 26th of August. Why do you keep talking about Riverside.....are we on your mind that much? You have more than you can handle in your own region with Liberty and South Side. Thats fine that you're not scared of our DB's. If you are a ballcarrier or a receiver you'll feel us. Our LB is who you might want to worry about. He is going to have a field day on Buckley and Deberry, or whoever else might want to give it a shot. Mr. McCormick is already counting down the days until he gets to bust some skulls. So if I were you I would tell the coach not to run any crossing routes. Well let the "Mack Truck" roll across the middle......that will be fun.

  7. It all started when you came on our thread and said how did Riverside get that many votes. Nobody cares what you have to say. You people in Lexington have no class and you are already overconfident. There is no way you could beat Camden and I really don't think you have what it takes to beat Riverside. Last year you did. This year......who's gonna beat us? Because it sure won't be Fields like last year and you don't have anybody that is as good as Fields. Plus you have no quarterback. Just stay out of this thread. If you want to talk then start a thread entitled "How many teams will beat Lexington this year?"
