  1. Has to be the 3A Station Camp Bison behind senior RB Randall Toney. After going 1-9 in a tough district last year, the Bison are 4-0 with wins over Creekwood and Sycamore and absolute beatdown of Livingston Academy 47-0 last Friday. Toney has got to be in the running for Mr. Football with 700 yards and 8 TDs in just 4 games. Coach Shaun Hollinsworth was named Tennessee Titans coach of the week two weeks ago and returns an impressive staff of young coaches who seem to really care about those boys. Keep an out for the Bison in 3A.

  2. I doubt it...but this talk about Goodpasture being WAY better then McMinn Central...I'm gonna put this to rest right now...you said you played against Goodpasture right, meaning you play for that joke of a team they call White House...well let me give you a small dose of reality...yall were 2-2 v.s. Goodpasture this year...McMinn Central trashed yall...so what is your reasoning for saying Goodpasture is way better then McMinn Central when in reality, they are about as bad as yall???

I think that might be the most ignorant post Ive ever seen...Its obvious you know nothing about either team Goodpasture or White House...I agree that White House didn't have a state calibur team this year but to call them a joke? They made it to sectionals along with the other 15 teams by playing all out and I dont even like White House. Goodpasture is a good team and Im not saying the McMinn Central cant beat them because I dont know enough about them. I know you have a heck of a player in Beau Brown but you took that post a little too far. Think about all the teams that didnt even make it to sectionals. Were all of them jokes? Im not trying to get in an argument but I think we all know that was going a little out of line.

  3. Whoa I agree with your post on the level headedness because when teams play on pure emotion they lose the mental edge in the game. Now I talked to the cheerleaders of SC and I don't believe the "n" word was used and if it was then that is extremely wrong. Davis also did his fair share of talking too and it was obvious that some of the things he was saying didnt exactly reflect the Christian school he goes to. The level headed player for Goodpasture is Frey from what I saw at the last game between the two. For Station Camp Jones will be the guy to try to keep his team down to earth. Now I was never aware of the N word being used and Im not sure if that is complete truth or else Im sure I wouldve heard of it earlier. I hope for a good clean game but its hard to see that coming with the outcome of the last game.

  4. I have heard alot about how great White House is going to be this year, but in the past years they have not impressed me at all. Last year Station Camp was pretty good. Did they really lose that much talent in only 6 seniors? I have also heard that Mt. Juliet Christian is supposed to be pretty good, anyone know anything about them? Good luck to all teams this year!

To the question of SC losing talent in 6 seniors, yes. 3 forward/offensive minded players, 1 all-state midfielder, 2 fullbacks and a goal keeper. all have been acclaimed for the progress and ability to play the game. SC has lost alot of talent but will be a contender in all of its matches.

  5. Not necessarily GB not getting any love...I just know that Portland came within 5 of us at homecoming and if you do overlook them then I see the upset coming. It nearly happened to SC during the season. As for Livingston and Goodpasture being the favorites for sectional, I can see why you say that but SC and Livingston met up at a Christmas Tourney when SC played their WORST ball of the season losing to HumeFogg by 20 and Gallatin by 20. Their defense has gotten a lot better and I think LA might have a good match on their hands if the two meet up. Station Camp will have to stay focused and get themselves there first though playing a strong White House team and then if they win going up against Goodpasture who won by 10 last time the two met up. I believe the score the first time was LA 84 and SC 79.

  6. I think Station camp will come out fired up and ready to play their best basketball there on a big win streak and there having good senior ledership and players are coming off the bench providing good mins i look for station camp to sin there first district championship in school history...

  7. No disrespect intended catsbball...You are just always pumped to play whoever is sitting at No. 1. We're looking forward to another hard fought game tomorrow when yall come to visit us so don't think we're overlooking you cause were focusing on you guys tomorrow and then the "upset" Friday night. Looking forward to seeing you buddy and hopefully well have another game that I consider the friendly rivalry lol.

  8. Well if SC wouldnt have pressed than I think the game is really close and they were up by 17 due to free throw shooting cause SC was down 8 with two minutes to go. Don't even try to make it out to not be a good game cause it definitely was. Yall shot 75% from the floor and both your coach and principal said yall could never play that way again. Now for everyone else that isnt completely ignorant of how that game really was. How do you think this game turns out for the new rivals of 8AA?

  9. Hugo might be one of the best basketball stories out there...He came out of the same middle school as Hubert but didnt even make the team because he was undersized...the kid isnt much bigger but is starting to put up noumbers in varsity for high school...well for coming out of not playing in middle school your 7th grade year to being a part of one of the top teams in the midstate is pretty impressive...Good luck to them in the tourney

  10. Let me refrain my comment...Buchanan is a good player and I didnt say the boy wasnt good...He killed us on the glass and your right we didnt box out the game that you played us...(Station Camp). Your right the players do compliment each other and you have a good team there at Goodpasture. The only thing I was saying is that he would take some possessions off to get his points. Some teams love running the break but to be at half court when the shot gets put up? I have no problem with Goodpasture although I do think they have created another good 8AA rivalry which isnt a problem its great for High School basketball. Buchanan is in a good place because Davis and Frey open up a lot of options for him. Its easy to guard 2 really good players. But its hard for teams to guard 3 good athletes and SC will have to step up to do so. I look forward to a hard fought game for two of the stronger teams in the 8AA.

  11. How did Logan Greer play? He mustve had a good night cause otherwise I thought this would get ugly. The mixture of Adams and Greer downlow mustve done something. Buchanan didnt have many points so they mustve cut out his cherry picking baskets that he gets while the rest of his team works hard to box out. Sounds like a good game and good job to both teams.
