M.C 14 Summitt 0 any other scores from today ?

Just another example of why people don't try to help these kids ! Every time someone tries to help , there are parents griping about it before it ever gets started. Give these people a break ! Let them do their thing, their way, and if you don't like it.... step up and have your own. Just a thought.

I have heard people talking about an automatic bid to the regionals for the regular season champion. Do they still have to win their side or finish 2nd , or are they just guaranteed a spot regardless of finish in the district tournament? Just confused , thanks for any insight to this.

Well it looks like it's gonna be a "fun family atmosphere" at the bobcat's games this year !

M.C.beat Lewis Co. 9 to 1 Tuesday night. Green was the W.P. going 6 inn. Again good defense and timely hitting for M.C. Thomason had a legitimate inside the park home - run (no errors made on the play )

Marshall Co. won 10 to 0 Vernon had a complete game no hitter. only one lewis co. runner reached 1st base on an error (By Vernon) and was thrown out at 2nd on the next pitch. 1 Error away from a perfect game ! Vernon also had a 2 run H.R. many others had multiple hits for M.C. Hollingsworth had 2 doubles of the wall and I know I am forgetting someone, but everyone hit great. Marshall County's defense was flawless too. Great game all around to start the year !

As far as I know, the first district games for everybody start this Monday 3-21. Marshall Co. plays Lewis Co. there. Who does everybody else start with? Good luck. and remember enjoy every moment and let the young men enjoy the best times of their lives. FREE OF DRAMA. It will be gone before you can blink, so don't sweat the small stuff, just let em PLAY BALL ! Good luck too every young man who is blessed to still compete.

I would say so ! 16 - 0 REALLY ! Let's see, my best friends son played middle school last year and they only played 14 games ! So if that record is true he pitched every game plus every tournament game ! Sure is a small community around here, I would have thought that would have been first page news. We all love our little stars, but C'MON MAN ! L.O.L

Hey Willie, just wondering how the young men who signed from S.H. last year are doing in college. I saw that Broshu went 3 for 4 in a game for Columbia State and I figured you might know about some of the others. It was a really good class and i was just wondering cause i thought they would all do well at the next level. Thanks. I just don't have any connections or even know where some of them went.

I really think thats why s.h. did so well in the state championships last year. This district is as tough as it gets and every team has quality players and every game comes down to one mistake. That makes these teams hard to deal with if they ever get a shot at the next leval. As I have said before, I feel lucky every year just to watch these games cause you never know how it"s gonna turn out. Let's all cheer hard for "our " team but in the end let's hope this district sends another team and this time bring that gold trophy back to our region where it belongs.

Experienced pitching gives a slight edge to M.C.(Senior lefty with good control and sick "stuff' Marcus Green and a power righty junior who is as good as anyone Cody Vernon.) Also all nine positions will be filled with kids who have already had a taste of the intensity of these two rivalry games, until you have played in one it's hard to understand just how crazy it gets. I think when these three teams get together, in any combination, it's about as good as high school baseball gets. No matter who has the edge on paper when these games start you know it's gonna be a war! We are blessed to be able to watch some of the best, most intense high school baseball in the state at any leval. I personally treasure each game and know I will never forget them. These young men leave all they have on the field and it's nice to see that when it's just for the love of their school and the love of the game, not for million dollar contracts. Enjoy guys cause this is as good as it gets!

This should be a very competitive and fun season to watch. M.C is returning some very good players and all nine positions are solid and all the kids have plenty of playing time from this past season and this past summer. I'm sure all the haters will soon be out in force, but these kids have heard it since they were nine so I doubt it will bother them at all. Spring Hill and Giles County always reload and from what I watched last year some of the other teams were young and will benifit from maturity this year. Can't wait to watch these young men compete and send another rep. from our region to battle for a state title. Remember parent, You are too old to play , so sit in your chairs and let the young men enjoy the best times of their lives. Let's PLAY BALL !!

Jack whaley outstanding outfielder with blinding speed, Brandon Hollingsworth strong first baseman with true "light tower power" returning seniors for marshall co. along with 5 great juniors j.b reese c.f , morgan reese s.s, Aaron thomason 2.b, brandon bush catcher and cody vernon pitcher/3.b. Should be a fun year for marshall co. baseball fans. All these players can hit for power and are battle tested and won't be intimidated by anyone or any circumstance. All juniors also pitch with vernon being the projected ace.

AMEN ! WELL SAID. I WISH THAT WOULD HAPPEN. JUST INCLUDE LOUD MOUTH WHINNING COACHES IN THAT AND IT'S A PERFECT FIX!
