I just dont see Jennings as top 5. Seen her pitch a few times this year and keep watching with an open mind trying to give it a chance but just dont see it. I think she is well advertised through her travel team but by far not the best pitcher on that team either. Good athlete all aound though.

Smith Co. defeated York 8-0.......LA beat Cannon Co (can't remember score)........Upperman defeated Dekalb 10-8.

I know also but will never tell either. He's an old geiser retired from coaching, I used to coach with him myself. He is a fart head but he knows softball and has a passion for the game for sure!!!LOL

Very impressed by Upperman knocking the crap out of LA at the plate. Not sure why that hasnt happened all year. LA very tough on defense but very vulnerable on the mound. Best I've seen Upperman hit the ball all year. Dekalb looked beat the whole game until a blatently bad call by blue on an obvious tag on a runner by the pitcher on th erunner going to first. Pitcher tagged her and she even stopped running and they called her safe. Field umpires couldn't see it and plate umpire said he wasnt looking. Called her safe. Smith Co pitcher fell apart after that as well as ss and right fielder. Several errors gave the game away. Game not over till midnight but was worth staying to see. I'm very interested to see if LA and Smith today to see if either was motivated by losses Friday night. I would say its Dekalb's baby to lose right now.

Livingston won 4-3...........

I've seen all 3 of these teams play. To me looks like LA wins with the short game, Dekalb is well coached and knows how to manufacture runs and SC seems to have the most talent, but it's just not being used for some reason. I say good coaching will get it done if I had to bet.

I wish her the best. She has to do well so I can prove Mrnoitall wrong........lol. Smith Co fell apart and lost to Livingston in overtime this week.

Heard last night that Dekalb's junior pitcher tore her acl and is done for the year. Apparently they will have to use another junior who hasnt pitched since she was a freshman and will have to do the best they can with that.

I walked down and saw the Rhea Co game too. I agree, didn't look that impressive. Poor baserunning and alot of pop ups. SC's pitcher looked nervous the first inning and gave up 4 runs but pitched decent the rest of the game with no more runs scored. I was told she was a freshman. Rhea County looked well coached though.I also wathched SC play Lebanon and they did look very strong that game. I think they won 4-0. Went and watched Livingston play part of 1 game earlier, they looked average all the way around. I'm not sure where they were with pitching. I was told Dekalb scrimaged Cookeville either Friday or Saturday and got drilled big time whatever that means. Could be interesting in this district this year.

Sounds promising for SC as I am hearing Siegel is supposed to be pretty good this year. Still not hearing much from the the Dekalb area, seems nobody is saying much or knows much from up there. Got a report that Livingston will be decent. New coach there is working hard with average pitching. Guess we'll see this week who has the sticks poppin which will tell alot. Stickin with Dekalb for now!! I refuse to bow down to Mr dontnoitall!!!!!!

Maybe someone else can give us insight on what DC, SC and maybe Livingston Academy have this year. Haven't heard much out of anybody out there this year. Drove down and saw Upperman scrimmage last week for a few minutes. They looked decent but not too strong. I heard Smith Co was playing Mt juliet a couple weeks ago but I haven't talked to anyone who saw them. Haven't seen or heard from Dekalb lately either. Anyone seen any practices or scrimmages?
