but by sayin you cant blame one person you need to know who has the most influence on the program. and you know that its him! he needs to call it quits and just stay in hickman with his ego and keep thinking he is the greatest thing to ever grace the big blue! he wouldnt know how to run a passing off. or a spread unless he watched a madden or ncaa football sim on PS3

why does medley think he can come in and run the team. He gave up on us a LONG time ago. i think he is looking for old glory that aint coming with the same old same the game has evolved and he hasnt. bottom line he did good for us years and years ago and all he did was parlay that into the lebanon job. now he's bored and thinks that everyone in gville should be kissing his tail that he's back and i think he is on a ego trip to try and find past glory. Let the new staff that is more then capable run the team and let him go back to sitting around being a know it all like he always has been.

maybe they need a new o.c seems to me the head ball coach needs to stop letting medley run the show. his time and plays are the same as 1984 lol

Maybe she can have a coach like Jeff Breeden to call upon when she needs too. Public and Private schools should just split anyway. I know there used to be a forum on here for that but its becoming harder for these private schools to compete. Plus if a kid is on a full ride for academics (which actually does happen) they can't even play sports. Isn't one of the main topics in schools these days that kids don't get enough exercise and child obesity is growing as fast as my waist line at an all you can eat dinner

So what you are saying is that the assistant coach has to teach the head coach!?!?!?! That is the most backwards logic i have ever heard in my life. Why not start with first graders teaching the teachers on how to teach. Or how about letting a nurse perform surgery on you? How bout a mall security guard investigate murders and thefts. I'm sure that she is a VERY capable coach...but isn't the point for the head coach by every defintion of the word to be the person at the HEAD of the team and the main coach. LOL love the way ppl on here can defend the worst causes and cases.

I agree with the doorbell on this one. It is not fair to the girls that work so hard to have to play under a coach who knows less about the sport than teenagers! FCS has a long history of making bad coaching changes/hires. From what i gather they have just stuck someone in there to coach and comply with title 9 and to heck with the girls. Its a complete insult to the team and school to not even conduct a coaching search for someone that has at the very least coached softball on some level. But as most people that are close to the situation know this is just how they operate up there. I have never met any of the coaches that will be coaching but do know a "yes man" when i see one. A yes man that will do whatever the athletic dept wants, will do whatever the board wants and will not question anything or anybody. And to the previous post saying that softball and baseball are the same except for pitching, you must be out of your mind! The coaching of a softball game and baseball game are night and day. Do they slap bunt in baseball? Do they bait and switch in baseball? Do they have a courtesy runner in baseball? Do they have the ability to steal bases like in baseball? These questions i'm sure the coaching staff now have never even heard of or know until now. Just hope they make a "Coaching Softball for Dummies" book for him to read. Coach Powell cared very much about those girls and trying to make them better women and christians. FCS was lucky to have her as long as they did. She went to school there and poured her heart into that program, to only be forced out and never given the support that she needed. Well they have what they want now, a mediocore program that can stay out of the way of baseball and football. Congrats!!!!
