Yes, Brentwood lost yesterday to Independence, 1-2. But that's the thing...TSSAA does not dictate the rules of how the districts determine their top 2 representatives for the region semis. We should enjoy the freedom, whether your district sticks with the tradional format or decides to do something different. I predict that most districts will stick with the traditional setup.

This obviously makes the regular season more valuable. What a brilliant way to reward the regular season champion!

Per TSSAA, each district is allowed to determine the number 1 & 2 seeds however they see fit as a district. It seems that district 11 has decided to give the regular season champs a bid in the region semis.

Arlington defeated Bartlett, 1-0 in OT to advance to the D-14 final.

Yeah, White Station ran over Collierville 5-1 on Thursday night(at Collierville), but to rank them ahead of CBHS and MUS may be a stretch. We'll see how WSHS plays against CBHS on April 5th...

The two state tourney reps from the west should be Collierville and White Station again, don't rule out Houston and Memphis Central. Collierville should be back with Coach Gillespie's return, while White Station should be strong having lost only 3 seniors. Houston will have a young talented team, and Central will be stronger after losing to C'ville 3-2 in the Region 8 semi's last season. Middle TN should be a dog-fight as always. Out East, watch for Science Hill to challenge the Knoxville schools for a spot in the last 8. Whatever happens, it should be a great season!
