The receivers and defensive backs have been the most solid groups on the team the last couple years(not counting QB, Cam was really good). Any body that has been following the team will tell you that we have been out matched on the line of scrimmage offensively and defensively. Im not blaming the coaches, we have been undersized. My point is, Coach Cook had his boys coached up every Friday night

Coach Cook has been successful at every level of football he has coached, from Red Dogs to high school. That is evidence of a good coach that can adapt to different situations. Why don't you put your application in, or would that remove all doubt about your lack of intelligence?

Im not throwing dirt at Fitz and Hampton, i have always defended the coaching staff - i think they get a bad rap. Im just trying to figure out why a big name Coach would want to step into this mess. What teaching position at RCHS will the new coach hold?

It seems to me that you have to offer the position to Coach Cook if he will take it. You could do a whole lot worse than calling the defensive signals at Central. Nobody wants success for the Eagles more than he does and the guy knows football. Supereagle can run his mouth all he wants but Ive not seem him post his coaching credentials. Im really concerned that the coaching staff resigned but is staying as teachers. This is handcuffing the coaching search because no established coach is going to want to step in to a situation where there are no jobs that you can fill with coaches. Lets be honest, these guys were not hired for their teaching ability, they were hired to coach. Like it or not, that is how things work. I can not believe the administration would allow them to stay and not coach. Lets put the ego's and all this garbage aside and give the kids the support they need to compete and be successful. After all, isn't that the goal of school sports?

Im just going to throw it out there. Taw should be the next man to lead the Eagles. He's good enough, he's smart enough, and dad gummit people like him.

Im not sure what is going on but I really hope things settle down some so our kids can have stability. Our boys deserve the best, we have some great kids on the team

The first order of business if you want to bring someone new in is to identify available teaching positions. If there are no vacancies, you will have to fill the OC job with a member of the existing staff.

What was the reason for the resignation? Personally, I will hate to see Coach Cameron go. It is easy to blame the play caller when things aren't going well.

Think about it for a second Eagle4, with TJ7 mental capacity and vast football knowledge the Eagles could quite possibly never lose again!!!!!!!!! I would give anything for my son to play for a coach that is so cunning and crafty. He puts the "con" in ICON

I think Coach Fitzgerald needs to look at adding some intellect to the staff by adding TawJackson7 to the ranks. He knows a lot about football, just ask him. This presents an intriguing question though, Would he still bash the coaching staff if he were on it?

Im not sure about the pay but if a coaches name is constantly being tossed about: 1) he is looking to make a move and 2)he is initiating the contact (although he would never admit that). I am not trying to run down coach Fitz, he is a good coach. I just think he is has his eye elsewhere

I don't think Legend was referring to the Clinton job, old news. We moved on to the coaching search in Meigs in which Coach Fitz name is circulating as well. Im hearing one of the final 2. I shouldn't be surprised when I see his name linked to every available vacant coaching position. Surely things in Evensville aren't bleak enough to make a coach want to go to Meigs??????????? Rheaco, don't fall for the coach speak. What would you expect him to say when you ask him if he still wants to be the coach of the Eagles.

Lets get it cranked up!!! what is the spring schedule looking like for practice dates and scrimmages? Rhea co., is it true that TawJackson7 is the biggest sissy in the county? Which freshman do you think might make a push for some playing time? The Loden kid from Spring City and the Williams kid from Rhea Central could work there way on the field somewhere if they take the coaching and work hard over the summer

Taw shut up pretty quick when his real identity was exposed. I bet he has had a lot of kissing up to do with the coaching staff that he dogged so bad. If complaining and butt kissing were a sport Jenkins, I mean Jackson, would be an olympian

We got some experience for some young guys last year that will prove to help us next season. Beside the QB position, which spots are going to be key to fill? Hey TawJackson7, if that is the name you are still going by, your son can only play one position at a time so you do not need to reply

Very good game to watch tonight. Cleveland is very big and athletic, Rhea played a very inspired game. I was rather unimpressed with the management of the game by Cleveland (clock at the end of the 1st half and personnel substitutions especially after a time out). The Raider coaching staff almost let the Eagles sneak back in the game. I think Rhea had a good game plan in place but the turnovers proved too much to overcome.
