  1. Enforcer240- Congrats to ALL "Rural West TN" teams who won tonight! Who do YOU feel is the best after considering tonight's results? Covington, Henry Co., Northside? Btw.. This Prez is impressed with South Gibson, Peabody & Adamsville ...all are gonna be tough outs for somebody in November!!
  2. First and foremost- that was an unbelievable atmosphere tonite in Dickson! That is what high school football should look like- especially between 2 fierce yet respectful rivals! DC fans- keep us posted on the young man (56) who left in the ambulance with an arm injury! Hope he can return but it certainly did look favorable! I still believe Quad 4 will be HC's home in the playoffs. I further believe this if Clarksville wins next week. Dyer Co. & Memphis East are in danger of not qualifying at all therefore positioning Henry Co. further in the most western quad. Of course, this is simply my opinion. Lastly- Dickson has one of the finest men leading their program as well as a super Athletic Director! Collectively, we hope to announce an event to further grow our rivalry, fellowship, fan involvement, & overall enjoyment of this fun weekend in the near future! Best of luck to the Cougars in November! P.S. I didn't see the toilet paper incident when I was on the field- we kept kids/fans away from the Cougar post game huddle in an effort to respect their privacy after a tough defeat...
  3. Sorry Enforcer240 that I have been away from this discussion over the last day or so, I've been too busy discussing football with those who listen to reason, are logical, and wish to hear accurate information as it relates to this week's game against the Dickson Co. Cougars. For your information, I spoke this afternoon live on-air on the largest sports radio station in West KY, and Northwest TN and spoke accurately (not arrogantly) as it pertains to the games of the week. This has become, at least this season a bi-weekly appointment on this particular station. Also, many of the state's sportswriters and radio personalities call, text, and visit with me on not just Henry Co. matters, but topics related to many of the other area teams. I've been described using many words over the years....but classless is certainly a new one. Therefore, the only explanation to someone using this term to describe me is that he/she is simply ignorant or is deliberately challenging me in someway. I fully trust that anyone would find it difficult to describe me in this fashion in a one on one personal discussion. Nonetheless, let me politically describe my position in an effort to soften your reception of the facts and reset the timeline per your angry tyrant! First, Henry County was left off of a "hypothetical list" the poster and 1st responder to this thread had made in listing the "best teams in Rural West TN". I then responded by saying in short, that you can't have such a list without the Henry County Patriots being represented....furthermore to highlight my point, suggested that Henry County would beat a certain team in Gibson County 10 times if they were to play 10 times who were represented on this hypothetical list. (how I have been arrogant or demeaning by suggesting this is comical at best to read!) I have commended this team at every turn when speaking of them and their recent accomplishments! They truly are having a wonderful season! Then, you create a login name specifically to combat me and my posts. You do so first by asking me a question about 2 teams not related to this specific discussion. During your next 3 posts, you refuse to recognize the answer I gave you in the very first line of my response. (yet you insist now that I'm the one that has a reading deficiency!) Then you resort to name calling because you are unable to prove any of the statement I made to be inaccurate! You struggle with the idea that I'm actually a likeable person, a highly recognized face and well respected face in our sports community, and genuinley intellegent person as it relates to high school athletics. I have been entertained by your inability to stay within the context of this particular discussion and your insistance of discussing teams from outside "Rural West TN" to help construct some platform to make your point try to seem viable. (which you have failed miserably!) Nonetheless, I promised to "soften the reception of the facts" to you, so here it goes! 1. If the Henry County Patriots faced the "team near Three Way" 10 times in the regular season, there would be more "red" in the stands at each of the two stadiums than there would be orange. 2. During each of these 10 contests, HC would platoon more kids on both offense and defense than would the opponent. 3. Henry County would score more times on offense in each contest than would the other team. 4. Henry County would convert more extra points than the opponent in each contest. 5. Henry County would dress more players than the opponent in each of these 10 hypothetical games. 6. Henry County would have a near 2 to 1 ratio of coaches than the opposition. 7. Henry County would eat a postgame meal before boarding the bus following the 5 games played away from Patriot Stadium. 8. The opposition would indeed score against the team from Paris in each game. 9. No matter which color pants or jersy's Henry County wore, they would be dressed in Russell Athletic apparel. 10. At the end of each game, Henry County would have more points than the respected and quality opponent that we play in lower levels of high school football. Enforcer, please highlight the numbered statement above that you feel in inaccurate! For each one you find, (and can prove), I will send you a personally autographed 2011 HC State Championship hat as a token of my classlessness and arrogance for you to add to any sports collection you might have in your office or mancave! If you can find 3 or more, I will include a framed and matted photo of myself sitting in my private luxury suite high above Patriot Stadium enjoying a game! Enjoy the Covington/Milan game tomorrow night!
  4. SEC1Rules....yes, the game against the Cougars is of most importance this week....however, according to the map, globe, or schematic used by the Enforcer....Dickson County will also be included in his "rural West TN" rant by Monday!!.... p.s. Seemingly, all in the Big Red camp are 100% for Friday's showdown for the barrell!!...See you in DC!!
  5. Enforcer240, your response to "Cubs" may fall on deaf ears...in the 2nd or 3rd post in this thread, he too added to the discussion from his list omitting the team "you now believe" to be the best football program in West TN. (your words, not mine)....just food for thought for the "accurate one!"
  6. Old"WISE"Devil....that would be the only explanation for such a confused individual to type such rhetoric as confidently as the Enforcer240.....you are indeed wise Olddevil....(careful tho, some might consider you arrogant!)
  7. This topic is too entertaining just to sit back and "take a knee"!....you make some great point as usual FactsOnly! I was wondering if you were to join us for this discussion....you always bring a little "balance" to the "back and forth"!
  8. Once again, if you are a fan of West Tennessee football as you say you are, but do not know The Yanker.....I have absolutely wasted my time responding to you.......
  9. Once again Enforcer240...you seem to aspire to own this particular thread...which is certainly okay with me......nonetheless, you consistantly confuse the term "arroganant" or "arrongance" with the words "accurate" and "accuracy"!! Most everyone in this community and others that deal with HC in football matters knows that the Prez of the QB Club in Henry County is anything but arrogant yet he strives to project, relay, and report "accurate" information regarding the football program and other football related subjects! If you chose to "label" our community as a whole as such, (or me alone for that matter) it consequently points to your ignorance on the subject and/or your inferiority complex as it relates to another team! I trust what you say as it relates to your sons and their football careers at their respective high schools! We here in our community are as proud of our athletic programs as any other community that you will find regardless of their size, geographic location, or their financial status. If one confuses pride with arrogance, then we owe no apology! If you wish to continue dreaming up stereotypes, labels, or other adjectives to describe me or our fanbase as a whole, please do proceed! It only magnifies your ignorance across these boards. Pleased be advised that the majority of the readers on here are certainly more educated and more familiar with the happenings in and around both Henry County and the upper classifications of high school football than you appear to be! p.s. If the Patriots were to play South Gibson 10 games this season, and both teams were 100% healthy, Henry County wins 10 of these match ups....for the record!
  10. Ok Enforcer...it's clear that you hate me and that you refuse to listen agree with anything I say. It just so happens that HC's best athlete on the field plays QB. And in my opinion, Northside is probably a little "more talented" than HC....what does all this mean as to who will win when/if they face off.....who knows dude?? As far as the recognition goes.....if you only had a clue!...... Why don't we find something that we both agree on.....I'll go first.....Man, I love high school football.....how about you Enforcer?? p.s. Did you ever see where I answered your question in the very first line of my first response? (i'm just curious)
  11. DC80....make no mistake, WE LOVE THIS GAME! We love playing Dickson County! We love it better when both teams are competitive! We love having the barrel! We love the excitement surrounding these two communities! Can't wait til Friday! p.s. we all know that jhall615 doesn't speak for the majority of Cougars nor Coach Williams! I know he has been diligently preparing for this game since he loaded the bus last year in Paris! What a great coach and good friend! You guys are fortunate to have him! Our only wish is that your community continues to support the Cougars as we support our Patriots....I hope to see a full side near the press box!
  12. pats73....no meds needed here old Patriot....I just refuse to let some goon ramble and accuse when he brings no facts to the discussion. Especially one who wants to divert the topic to something other than the subject being discussed. Your Alma Mater is not the best in "Rural West TN" nor are they as deep and talented as they were last year...but they are still pretty good. p.s. Looking forward to our big showdown this week in Dickson! Troy has the Cougars playing as well as I can ever remember!
  13. Enforcer240...apparently you enjoy reading things into statements and making closed minded accusations about things in which you know very little. First, it is clear that Northside is the best on the list that led off this discussion. Also, Lexington, Henry County, and Covington should also be positioned on the top of this list. How you feel I (nor anyone else) compared this year's HC team, or our team's history to Maryville, Odessa Perimian, South Panola, or anyone else is beyond me! No one (including myself) has typed, said, or implied these things that you have indicated! Secondly, you know little about Henry County football, our community, the Henry County Quarterback Club, or me..the President of it! No one here thinks our program is "entitled" to anything more than any other. Yet, we do recognize the benefits of having a successful football program to both our school and community thus, we invest in it collectively as a community. Given all of this, our community, our Quarterback Club, and its leadership is set to be recognized for its efforts by the TSSAA next month. Therefore, if you knew as much as you think you know about the club, the program, or the real personality and intregrity of the club's leader, then you would feel absolutely foolish about the comments you made suggesting otherwise. As ridiculous and outragous as they were, I couldn't help fueling your entertaining yet foolish fire of anger! I laughed hysterically as I typed isn response to it! As for the actual list and your thoughts on what I believe...I am not as big of a homer as you wish to believe! Northside is clearly the best team on the list of "Rural West Tennessee" teams (Beech and Northeast of course are on a different list) and Henry County, regardless of what happens at Dickson County, is on a collsion course with the Indians in November. I'm not fool enough to let you bait me into saying or believing that Henry County will be/should be favored. I know moreso than you about Coach Tab's Indians, their strengths, their accomplishments, and their potential! They are deeper, and probably quicker than this year's Patriots. That said, I doubt the team wearing red will posess any intimidation towards Northside when/if this game transpires. I do not know your team of allegiance...I am beginning to believe that you might be a fan, coach, or player from Medina. Regardless, you must have some sort of jealousy or inferior complex as it relates to schools who have had some degree of success in the larger classifications. Nonetheless, you must have missed the points I have made regarding the respect and admiration I, our coaches, and program share for South Gibson! You must have also missed the comments I have made publicly on various radio programs about their recent success. With all of this said, I will repeat my position shy of any arrogance but with 100% conviction that if both teams played with each team being 100% physically, Henry County wins 10 out of possible 10 games regardless of venue. No one is asking for you to agree with me, or even like me for that matter.....also, no one is insisting on you being accurate either!
  14. Who's calling who ignorant?? You must be some baphoon if you can't read where in the first line of my first response with you that I said that we would win "Zero"...which is what happened when we played these two "non-rural" West Tennessee teams.....further more, in neither case did the Patriots get the "@#$ kicked"!!....The Patriots scored over 40 points against Beech..which to my knowledge, no one else has done this season and scored 26 against Northeast. Again, as a new poster, I will once again educate you on the context of various posts on Coacht. I trust you failed to study the team homepages on this very website indicating each school's location. Neither of the teams you wish to discuss fall into the catagory of "Rural West Tennessee" teams. Since you have been to our friendly stadium and visited our campus, the next time you are here, please look me up and I will study these matters with you further!...I'm not hard to find.....just look for the crowd of fans around my glowing arrogance....I'll be the one signing autographs and kissing babies!
  15. Enforcer240....Well apparently, the shadow of my "awesomeness" obstructed your view of the answer I gave in the last post!...the answer was in the first line of my previous post!...Furthermore, it is apparent that "right now" both Northeast and Beech appear to be better and deeper than the Patriots...but again....you might be so awestruck discussing high school football with someone who is as logical as I am...that you must have totally missed the heading of this thread. ( I will forgive you...I hope others will as well) While Henry County is a "rural West Tennessee" team...neither Northeast nor Beech fall in this catagory which automatically excludes them both from this discussion. The topic is not.."who is the best team in "Rural" West Tennessee regardless of classification plus teams on Henry County's schedule"! Part of being logical is reading what's asked and posted within its context and if one so choses, respond using information relevant to the discussion. Geographically, Northeast and Beech both reside East of the beautiful Tennessee River....to avoid confusion, you can go to each team's homepage here on Coacht..and there is a google map indicating the location of every school who are members of the TSSAA and their exact address. This feature is to assist those traveling to unfamiliar venues on Friday night's...however, perhaps you might wish to use it before posting on threads in which you wish to discuss teams not included in the parameters of the discussion. Lastly, no one "asked" how many times Henry County would beat a specific rural West Tennessee team...rather one poster compiled "his" list which was based on his opinion of the strongest team in the area. I gave my opinion as well....which anyone who watches "all" classes of football in this area will also attest, that Henry County would be 2nd or 3rd on this list....if it were compiled using basic logic. Does this mean that HC will repeat as State Champs?...of course not! Are they hands down better than 7 or 8 on this list?...absolutely! I will go on record again as to avoid any further confusion....if they were to play a varsity game, in Medina, Paris, or a neutral site, and both teams were injury free, Henry County beats South Gibson 10 out of 10 games. That being said, I'll say this again as well... I love the Hornets and what they have accomplished in such a short period of time! I encourage you to go back and read the previous post if you are still awaiting the answer to your question!...
  16. Although I haven't spoken with him yet, I was wondering how many season Coach Williams has been the head coach at Dickson County. Is this "his" best team thus far? By what we can tell from watching, reading, listening to fans talk about the Cougars, most here believe this is the best Cougar team we've seen/will see in several years!....The Cougars are going to be an extremely tough test for the Patriots this Friday night....one that time will only tell if the Big Red can pass....It should be a great one!....what's on the tailgate menu next week??
  17. I will answer that question for you....the answer is ZERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now let me ask you a question....where did you see Beech or Northeast on that list ??? Neither the Bucs nor the Eagles are among the 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, "rural West TN teams" that were listed as the best 10....were they....or am I so full of myself I just chose to overlook them???? .Know the subject matter before you post some ridiculous rant..... Apparently, you don't read to well!!
  18. The PA Announcer at Clarksville Northeast MUST be added to the list....the Eagles have a wonderful football team this year but this guy is doing his absolute best to embarass an otherwise super football team building something strong in Clarksville!...
  19. Without their QB..(out with a serious concussion) Hardin County "could" fall out of the playoff scenerio all together... Northeast also is trying to hang on to a top 4 spot in an effort to host a first round game...however, they lost 13-9 tonight at Paducah Tilghman. It also is very doubtful Hamilton stays in the field of 32..they have an uphill climb.
  20. Bigpurple...that was not my logic at all...you seem to enjoy making up logic based on your post on another board. Last year's scrimmage vs. the Patriots was simply an indicator to us that Northside was on the rise....100% of the other readers of this post understood this point clearly. Furthermore, I have seen the Northeast Eagles team in person that the Indians beat...they too are better than every other team on the provided list! Yes, Milan beat HC in a jamboree...however, do you not remember the Patriots going 70+ yards on 6 plays to open this scrimmage...then playing nearly half the sideline??...my question to you Bigpurple, do you really feel Milan would beat HC in a regular season game this season?? Do you think HC would throw the football to purple shirts 3 times with a backup QB in a regular season game?...i'm just asking!!?? ..So let's be clear...what you stated has nothing to do with any logic in which I am using or have used. It's clear, Northside, Brighton, Henry Co., and Covington are the top 4 teams in "rural West TN".....use whatever logic you choose...!
  21. BigPurpleMachine....I always love reading your posts...but, you misinterpreted or misunderstood what I said...I did not say that our JV beat South Gibson's JV by 30....I said our Freshmen beat their JV by 30. I know their defense is good...I am totally aware of that...I also stand by my prediction. I am also telling you that if South Gibson competed in District 10-AAA...they would struggle to be the 4th or 5th best team in the district. While many of us are excited about the Hornets progress...it's important to keep their accomplishments in proper prospective. They are no Northside, Henry Co., nor Covington. I also would say that they would struggle head to head with Lexington, Brighton, and in my opinion, Liberty! All of that said, I hope they end up in Cookeville!!
  22. Again, let me go on record as saying how trustworthy South Gibson is to keeping games on the schedule with other schools in JV/Freshman during the mid-week unlike many "other rural West TN powers"....many on here would be stunned at how many(and who) cancel games "THE WEEK OF THE GAME" for "various" reasons....South Gibson does not shy away from any competition...and that is why they are where they are in such a short period of time!
  23. I did not mean that HC would beat them 50-0.....I mean HC if playing their offensive starters all 4 quarters...would score 50 points on South Gibson....much like our freshmen did to their JV earlier this week....again, you're missing the point...we LOVE South Gibson...I think what they are doing is FANTASTIC.....they are not better than Northside, Henry County, or Covington....it's just fact....I understand South Gibson is "for real"...but not for real better than the 3 I mentioned....
  24. Northeast is better than "a good team" and Northside went to Clarksville and beat them. Northside is for real....we in Paris knew this last year when we scrimmaged a young Indians squad in the Spring and they went toe to toe with last year's 5A State Champions prior to them being State Champions!....Northside "EASILY" is the best on this list.....and of course, the 2nd best team at this time didn't make the list....Covington then is 3rd followed by the rest of the field.....Bruceton, Riverside, Halls, etc.!
  25. this is a comical thread! Hats off to South Gibson....and trust me, I love what they are doing and I love their confidence! Northside and Henry County would both hang 50 points on the Hornets.....neither of which are "overrated"!
