Dang you are salty!Good teams are a little Cocky and should be for that matter because it's actually called confidence!By the way you post I would assume you could cut a hole in one of your front pockets and you could go around feeling a little cocky all day also:thumb:

Best parting shot on any post I’ve seen! I agree, “she” could be a “Pat” from SNL. Regardless, the poster, if the name is true, has completely embarrassed the son and the fan base. I love giving Festus a hard time, but Brett and his boys are good with me. Winners WIN and losers complain about the way they win. It’ll never change.

They came to play no jokes. I will give them that. But it will be ugly next week I do believe. And I would say that no matter who would have won.

I’m with you Big Guy, but I think OZ has a better chance at SP than CF. OZ has the bigs, but neither have the speed to match what’s coming. My thoughts are OZ gets beat by 28, CF would get beat by 42. SP to the ship.

Come on coalfield get your head out of your butts.

Ain’t happenin’ Captain. OZ is way too physical for this team tonight. Their line is dominating the game and those big boys are eating! I understand your hatred for OZ, BlueGene, but that line play has to make you happy….underneath

Won't matter who the head coach is until the people above Matt Mercer get serious about sports at GCA no one will win there again.

LOL, you’ve been a GCA hater for a long time. I’ll never apologize for winning all those Region and District Titles in D1. GCA will be winning again soon and it’s because of who we have in Administration and our Pastor. But, thank you for chiming in

  5. A smart coach would call Lakeway Christian's AD, in White Pine, and ask if they could stop and use their facilities to break up the ride. A quick 30 minute walk through / play session would stretch the legs and let the kids have a little fun to break up the ride. They have a 50 yard indoor facility that would let them get out of the weather if its raining.

  6. I was thinking about everything that took place this year at LA:

    Dilfer leaves for UAB

Bring in Mawae, who turns out to be a bust according to the LA posters

Bring in the 5 star QB for a couple of games

Backup QB wasn't happy and team chemistry suffered, again, according to LA posters

5 star QB bolts back across the state line to MS

LA has a disappointing year in the W-L columns

TSSAA drops the hammer on LA for breaking several rules

2 Year Post Season Ban upheld through appeals process

LA beats McCallie to end their season

That's a lot of stuff going on within a program in 1 year.....

Except for 1997 (when BA was denied the playoffs and BEFORE they filed their lawsuit), BA and MBA have NEVER missed a playoff season.  Even when MBA was caught for a years of paying players tuition and when BA lost the 1st Amendment case ten years later, they still played in the playoffs.  LA is being railroaded and if these other schools had any sense, they would all be alarmed at the draconian penalties levied on LA.  Because they could be next.

Keep livin in fantasy land, counselor. Lipscomb ain't playin in the playoffs this year or next.....

So if you were accused by the government of a "crime," and you know you didn't do it, would you just say, "Well, they say I did it and I don't want to fight it, take me to jail."  The TSSAA rules on recruiting are very vague, per the US Constitution, we have the right to a fair trial.  SCOTUS ruled that the TSSAA violated the 14th Amendment.  Ya'll need to read up on the BA case, be informed!

    First stage is denial :roflol:

I laugh because I lived it in 2010-2011.

I'm not saying that at all. They had their appeal process and it was denied. You now accept the punishment and move on and try to prepare for 2025.

  10. I agree with the earlier post about acceptance. This was a violation of the TSSAA rules (whether you like them or not) and the punishment fits the infraction. When we got popped, the punishment was far more severe and we accepted it and moved on. One thing is certain, you will be forced to move on, whether you want to or not. The ruling was made, the appeal was denied.

Case closed, the next case is walking into the courtroom.....

  11. Could've been worse. Ole Bernie hit us with 2 years in football and boys basketball and a 1 year ban on all other sports, including girls sports...... Might seem like tough times right now, but it will pass and those that stay will make the program better.
