  1. After watching Franklin's practice today, I don't see the Blackman corners getting burned. Franklin's wideouts are slow, their routes are not precise, and the QB has a very slow release. I will also have to say that Franklin's QB will have a very hard time throwing the ball to any wideout while he is lying face up on the ground. Blackman's defense is intense....Franklin better bring their "A" game on Friday night.

So you have no life and travel 45 minutes to watch highschoolers practice?

  2. I'm guilty for bringing up the Brentwood Franklin game but the game this Friday is Blackman Franklin. I don't know why you would bring up 2004 and Coker. Mathers is nothing like Coker. Mathers is from what I hear a great individual and a solid member of the community not some dope smoking thug. Don't compare this game to that... And to TheAnswer21, if I remember we made it farther than Franklin last year in the playoffs... We beat you in OT? You obviously didn't give the right answer there. :P Whatever. This is going to be an excellent game and I hope Franklin pulls it out again against a higher seeded team!

  3. You can't stand it that FRANKLIN is still in it and Brentwood lost. We had an unusual game against the Bruins with all our turnovers. WE beat Oakland and Brentwood lost. Brentwood's football season is OVER!

I'm not hating on Franklin at all... I want Franklin to keep going and bring the state title home to Wilco. I'm just giving my opinion on the game. I didn't say anything about Franklin losing to Brentwood so I don't know why your are bringing it up but since you did we have beaten you guys 4 out of the last 5 times so we OWN you. :) And I wouldn't call the Brentwood game "unusual," Franklin turns the ball over more than any good team I've seen this year.

  4. If Franklin gave up 143 to Chudi Echetebu they are not going to be able to contain Mathers. He is an unbelievable ball carrier and plan on him breaking at least two against Franklin. The only time I saw Blackman play was when they played Brentwood and they handed it to us. They are an extremely physical team and Franklin is not. Franklin does play well as a team and they do all of the little things right, but I think Blackman might be too much.Blackman's front seven is going to shut down Franklin's run game and I think their undersized offensive line is going to struggle in pass protection. If FHS can get the throws off Kuivinen will be able to shred Blackman's secondary but that is a BIG if. I think Franklin will have too many turnovers and Blackman will take this one 28-21.

  5. I know this is a big IF and won't happen but if Centennial could upset Franklin I could see the argument.

Indy, Ravenwood, and Hillsboro will all have at least two losses in the district to Franklin and Brentwood not to mention beating up on one another.

Centennial already has one loss and will definitely lose to Brentwood. They possibly could beat Indy and Hillsboro.

Franklin's only sure loss will be Brentwood. (Trust me folks! I've seen both of them play.)

If all this does take place, let the tiebreaker madness begin.

Still the most likely scenario is this:

    1. Brentwood

    2. Franklin

    3. Ravenwood

    4. Centennial

    5. Independence

    6. Hillsboro

With all this said (for no reason), Franklin 42 Centennial 6

Will NEVER happen but would be a great scenario and would make for a great season

  6. A couple of things. I did not get to attend the game but caught the last 6 minutes online.

    1. Franklin has to find a running game. They do have a great QB but without a respectable threat on the ground he will struggle.

    2. The announcers mentioned that several times throughout the night the recievers were not on the same page as the QB. If you don't have a running game. Consistentcy in the passing game is a must.

    3. The late hit called on the QB was quite questionable with 4 minutes to go. Looks like the BGA sidleine persuaded the ref to throw it. What happened on Franklin sideline to garner another 15 yard penalty?

The Franklin coaching staff ran out on the field when the refs threw the flag for the late hit out of bounds so the refs tacked on another 15 yards

  7. The run game will not be weak. Yes, the loss of Ford and Lee will be missed, but the REBELS will always have a good running back. The O line is where it starts and we have all but one returning from last year. We have a very good TE to go along with those linemen! The way we threw and caught vs. Goodpasture is enough to get things going. If the run game hurts then we will go to the air. Matt will throw to many very capable receivers and TE. With the Defense coming along like it has then I predict a not as close contest as last year.

    Franklin Rebels 24

    BGA 7

I thought both of Franklin's TEs graduated?
