  1. Without a "dog in the fight" you sure are doing a ton of Barking!!! Your big, bad AAA team must be impressive!! Y'all gonna win State this year???? Wonder what "big cities" and "private schools" y'all been playing?? My little girl plays in a private division that has none of dem public schools in there to "beat up on". We do however, beat up some non-division AAA schools and others during the year and yes, it makes us better. You ought to play you a Father Ryan or GPS or Baylor or Clarksville sometime. Might make y'all better. But I guess since you guys are AAA, that "senior division" is unstoppable!!!
  2. Ouch!! Didn't know there was a "senior division". Us teams "down there" (wherever that is) are doing just fine! We are still "alive" too! Haven' ever won a State Title but hope to this year. We actually have some pretty tough opponents in our league. Heck, we actually played folks from ALL divisions and weren't frightened of em. Made us better. Let's see, we beat Clarksville, which I heard was not too shabby. Think they are AAA. Beat CPA, an outstanding A-AA team. Beat everybody else except 1 good team from Chattanooga. You ought to schedule a game or 2 with our school. We ain't skeered of the big bad AAA teams!!
  3. Sounds like somebody ate em a few "sour grapes" this morning!!
  4. Will be interesting to see how you guys do this year and next. It sounds like you have a freshman that plays travel ball with DB's kiddo. I've had 2 at TSC and it is fun when they get to high school to see how they adapt to a different level of play and also fun to play against their travel teammates. Good luck!
  5. Thanks!! As mentioned above, Salera is amazing and fun to play against, but the "wet fields" didn't seem to impact our "crazy good players"! We actually missed a couple of other point blank shots but guess they weren't needed. Got a few more tough ones left and we'll see what happens!
  6. Even with the injury bug, can DCA win it all this year in Div IIA?? Just curious what big teams they have played this year.
  7. Salera is such an amazing player. You were right, we couldn't "stop" Salera but Ensworth did "contain" her! Ensworth wins 3-2!
  8. I would take this year's Ensworth team and their amazing coaching staff against any team in the State!!! Winning by 8 or 9 or by just 1 or 2 against some talented teams is all good. By the way, in the past 4 or 5 years, we have played Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood, Centennial, Clarksville, BGA, USN, FRA, etc. (in addition to our regular conference powerhouses: Father Ryan, GPS, Baylor and Harpeth Hall)!!! I'd say Ensworth is doing just fine!!
  9. I think if Ensworth makes sure they know where Salera Jordan is the whole game and make the rest of the Clarksville team try to beat them, Ensworth can win this one!!
  10. Everybody ought to just sit back and relax and enjoy the high school season! Changes will always occur and you deal with them as they happen. I guarantee every high school coach is currently working their tail off to make sure their players and team are ready as can be to play. It doesn't matter if you are a public, private, big or little school. If your kiddo is good enough and wants to try and play at the next level, make sure they are on a travel team. That is the only way (with very, very rare exceptions) that they have a chance to be seen by college coaches. It costs a ton of money but may be worth it. I've had 2 play travel AND high school (1 still in high school). They LOVED playing for both teams and had (and still have) great coaches for both teams. For my oldest, it paid off and she is enjoying a successful career at the Div I level. Not sure what my youngest will do yet. Just make sure they are having fun wherever they are playing!
  11. Interesting game today....Baylor plays at Ensworth at 5. Should be a good match!
  12. Wrenne French is the real deal!!
  13. Good luck to you guys as well! We love have having Braemer's kiddo and the other talented freshmen! Really upgraded our team.
  14. I was just offering my 2 cents in response to another post you made on CoachT that "If you like this sport in Mid TN these are two (USN and Harpeth Hall) of the best around regardless of TSSAA classification." That's a pretty bold statement with the quality of teams in this area. My daughter's travel team has players at Ravenwood, Brentwood, Franklin, Father Ryan, siegel and BGA just to name a few. Those teams seem to do fairly well year after year! Hope your daughter's team can hang with USN! For the record, we tied USN last year (with their fast forwards) and beat HH to knock them out of the playoffs. I think we are better this year IMO.
  15. Kinda funny watching PC post with all the syrup dripping off the unbeatable USN. As Booger says, dem teams from the Chattanooga area ain't too shabby! I'm still going with the mighty Tigers of Ensworth as one of the best in Middle Tennessee. They are 9-0, have scored almost 60 goals and had 1 scored against them. Oh, and they also beat a very talented CPA team that PC thinks can't handle the unstoppable USN! Love this sport!!
  16. Impressive!! I know USN is strong and am curious if Ravenwood had their full boat (Karli, etc....).
  17. Good luck to you as well, Playerscoach!!
  18. Thanks for the info on FRA but not sure that has any relevance to Div II (AA) and they are not even on Ensworth's schedule. Likewise, not sure what your last sentence pertaining to HH even means. Anyway, just providing a little support for my kiddo's team (as I am sure the rest of you fellas are doing) and looking forward to the ride!!
  19. 4th or 5th huh?? We'll see. In the 6 years that I have somewhat followed this program, this is by far the best team (talent wise) as a whole that Ensworth has put forth. HH lost all their big scorers, FR lost one their best returning players to a knee injury and who knows about the rest. Just a proudpapa enjoying a great high school soccer year! It's a great break from the travel season!
  20. Just had to throw it out there that Ensworth travelled to Chattanooga for a mid week game against powerhouse, GPS and Ensworth won 4-1! Don't want to jinx them, but I believe they are the "real deal" this year with a very talented squad and an amazing coaching staff!!
  21. I should have clarified that my post was "tongue-in-cheek"! I've had at least one kiddo on the team for the last 6 years and I am so proud of how the program has progressed! We have a fairly strong (and wonderful) group of girls and it should be a fun season to watch! I wish we could have played some stronger competition to begin the season as in prior years (Franklin, Ravenwood, Brentwood, etc.) but I guess 5 clean sheets to start the year (even against weaker opponents) ain't too shabby!
  22. After week 1, Ensworth is 5-0...has scored 40 goals...and has 0 goals against. Not a bad start. Could be their year!
  23. Ensworth 2 CPA 0 Called this one. CPA has an awesome team and will go far but Ensworth had their number today!
  24. Ensworth 10 Kenwood 0 CPA up next for Ensworth on Thursday!!
