Sequ will have 8 starters return on defense next year not including a safety they lost week 2 to an injury. Both stud LB's will return as will a few former players who didnt play this year. Offense will return 4 of 5 lineman and the next QB is already there as well.
-
Stone 35-17
-
I don't see that being a problem for them
Should kill the warriors, but I would worry about the Indians tonight.
-
I know the bracket isn't officially out yet but I'm guessing the Quarters will look as follows:
Quad 1: CAK vs Alcoa
Quad 2: DeKalb County vs Upperman
Quad 3: White House-Heritage vs CPA
Quad 4: Milan vs Liberty
Like everything but Quad 2 as East Ridge and Notre Dame.

Upperman win Sequ win
1 Upperman vs 4 Red Bank 1 Sequ (8-2) vs 4 Red Bank
2 Dekalb vs 3 CCS 2 Upperman (7-3) vs 3 CCS
3 Sequ @ 2 Notre Dame 3 Dekalb (7-3) @ 2 Notre Dame
4 Smith @ 1 East Ridge 4 Smith @ East Ridge

UH has truggled verses teams that can run, and can pass a little. Cookeville and Stone scored 34 and 41 points. Other than those two games, UH D been pretty solid other than they tend to give up a busted play long touchdown each game. With squatch not being a quality passing team, I think UH will slow there offennse down and simply outscore them
Dekalb stacked the box and Sequ didnt start trying to throw until late in the half. When they did it opened up the run.
-
Can Upperman stop #7 and keep Sequ from the 7-8 min drives. No one else has and he is over 1300 yrds and around 20 TDs on the year
-
So an Upperman win next week @ Sequ puts them 1, Dekalb 2 and Sequ 3
A Sequ win put Sequ 1, Upperman 2 and Dekalb 3
-
I would say the odds would be in Notre Dames favor but Tyner beat them and they aren't a great team.
Tyner lost some leaders to injuries, also 3 losses have been to very good teams in Boyd, Marion, and Walker Valley
-
Sequ gets the stop with 6 to play
-
Jennings is killing Seq, no pressure
-
Boyd may play in the swamp but Bledsoe's field is almost unplayable during rain. Boyd needs to hope for no injuries in this game
-
To be honest Alcoa could play with the 6A teams and possibly win it all
-
That's how the kids at Sequ now did, dominate in Little League, Middle School, JV and now at the varsity. Took them 2 years to adjust to high school varsity. Sequ also has an absolute stud as an upcoming 7th grader
-
Does even or odd host this year ? If odd then Boyd would have home field throughout.
-
Sequ 34 Upperman 49 Smith 49
Dekalb 17 York 27 Cannon 12
Sequ has enough run game to eat the clock and keep the ball from Jennings, and the defense to slow him down. York has no defense but has put up points on everyone but Sequ and Stone.
-
Notre Dame, CPA, and CAK are enjoying there final run in D1
-
Hope for a Signal win so they can travel to Dunlap in the 1st round.
-
Yes that is a tough schedule and Meigs is at the end of the year too which should be good. Two former Rhea Co coaches in that one. I think Bledsoe might have a chance against Brainerd. Now Boyd, Marion, and Tyner that is a killer stretch of a schedule.
Even Meigs figures to be the 4th team in the district, will all 4 being ranked at one point.
-
If Jennings is on it will be an interesting game, but with Sequ eating clock on offense with the ground game I dont know how many time he will get the ball.
It will either be close with Seq by 10 or a Sequ blow out. Defense is just playing to good right now.
-
So Upperman is the measuring stick?I remember when UHS was supposed to be good and Alcoa put 70 something on them.AHS,CAK,CPA are the measuring stick i dont see Seq with 40 points of any of those three.
Those are the measuring stick for everyone, can't recruit with the privates or with what Alcoa does. Fortunately Sequ would not see them until the semi's if they made it.
-
Unfortunately Bledsoe posters have gone back into hiding until next year. There is only 1 who really posts consistently, they only come out during the Sequatchie week. Boyd should win this easily, Bledsoe will be lucky to win another game this year with Boyd, Tyner, Marion, and Brainerd left to play.

Thats on the coach to get them out, plenty of boys with good size in the school.
