All I want for christmas is the lion's shots to fall. For them to play some ball. For the girls to grow big and tall. All I want for christmas is few more wins so the girls won't whine 24/7 in 2011! Go Lady Lions!

I've heard that the offensive coordinator is allergic to running the football. It seems that the allergy almost killed him while quarterbacking at Bruceton during his high school years. Its a good thing that there is a cure in Dresden for this allergy. Loss of senior QB. Along with an annoying line coach, I'm sure he can be cured. If not, gonna lock him up with the hogs.

Yay. Tough shooting night, but great hustle. Have to start hitting them open shots! No break for christmas. Hard work and SHOOTING! Go Lady Lions! Improve every day.

Well, week 3 almost done. Team starting to get through the worst of the soreness. 15 o lineman fighting for 5 spots. One has already eliminated himself by not working hard in the weight room. The rest are doing well. Spring ball will be hampered by baseball again. Stinks! I wish spring ball would be allowed first two weeks of summer. Basketball and baseball should be outlawed!

Team with no leadership or direction. Same team as last year, except without Courtney they don't seem to have an identity. These girls need to pull together and start playing for eachother or its gonna be a long year. Lets Go Lions! Forget all the crap and play hard for TEAM! I know you can pull it together.

GLEASON GAME!! The best game of the year to watch for a Lion basketball fan. Can't wait to see this one. Time to step up to the big girl table for these underachieving lions. Good luck girls!

I think it smells like roses! Love that pig pen! We spread the smell over the field to help keep it green, and improve the smell. Can't figure out why we can't get a big crowd? Maybe we need to use the cows too! Must be rotary ain't serving the right food in the concession. Gonna have to teach them how to make PORK! Go Lions!

Yep! at the pit. And I heard all 15 of our fans will be there. We have a new strategy. Gonna charge 10 dollars for anybody wearing red to get in the gate. It would be great to have a bigger crowd than the rebels. 50 dollars for anyone going by the name "butchie". Starting to look at that schedule and think "dang, I miss greenfield and Halls". Then I looked at McKenzie's schedule and I don't feel so bad. Go Dresden Lions!

Dresden gonna soften up westview for you in week zero. lol

McKenzie, is going down next year.....lol. I can guarantee that we will definately beat you if we can just take the wheels off the bus and barricade 22. We still haven't been able to play mistake free and win the turnover battle. We can't beat any good team until we fix that. Comer's teams rarely beat themselves. But, I always look forward to that game cuz it will happen at some point (i think) and I wanna be there! Go Lions

Dresden playing still without their tall girl goes up against the mustangs. Should be a good game. Hope the Lions show up this game. The Lions are small, but when they play hard...they can beat anyone. The mighty midgets! Go Lions.

Great week one of lifting for the Lions. Definately need tons of work on the SQUATS! Looking forward to week 2. With Westview, Gibson, Stewart, UC, and Huntingdon on schedule...keeping up with the competition is BIG task. Got 20 lineman next year trying to get the five lineman positions. Should get a feel for who wants it the most before schools out. Go Lions!

Funny, rebuilding. They may lose all those kids, but I saw a lot of players being rotated into the games. That is the smarts of coach comer and staff. They reload because them coaches get reps for young players. Tons of talent there and a great offseason program. I believe McKenzie starts out being good and ends the year being a great team like usual. I'm sure they can get a few players to "move" there if they are short at a few spots. Not a knock...just jealous. lol.

I Always expect the worst, so I'm usually pleasantly surprised. I think 9 would be possible if the team played mistake free. 3 if we play bad. I'm guessing the actual record will be in between, but that is why they play the games. Offseason wouldn't be so bad if they didn't mess it up with basketball and baseball. that is like locking you up in a cell for life, then when they notice you aren't miserable, they put Oprah on the television and make you watch it all day. aaaaaaarrrgghh..lol

day1 of workouts over. Got a ton of work to do. Got soft during the season. Lineman did good on weights. Just gotta pick up intensity. We will see if the soon to be junior class steps up. Saw a few with their old habit of lifting easy when not watched. Seniors better step up enforcement, cuz coaches love the hill! lol

I see 3...lol. But, I see 9 which we can compete in. Maybe we will have some of these young kids step up and put out effort all year. Had a bunch of terds only do what they had to. That gets you beat. We will see who will put in the work or who will just try to get away with being mediocre. had a bunch of freshmen think they could show up any time they felt like it and then gripe about playing time on fridays. lol. Lineman better come ready Monday. Dead period is over on workouts! Partytime!

congrats TCA. Win It All. Good season mckenzie. Was a good game. Keep your heads up! If you lose to Dresden in week 2 then that may be the change you need to go all the way....lol...just a thought.

McKenzie, this is the year you can bring home that trophy! Our district deserves it. Whoop up on TCA and then show them boys out east what West Tennessee football is all about. Impressive year! We will be there friday cheering. But, come week 2......you become hated again...lol. Good luck rebels! Dresden is behind you! but gaining....lol. No injuries and safe trip for the TCA folk. Go Dresden!

Offensive line is going to be the strength of the team if and only if they work their tails off. Last year we had 7 that started games. This year I believe there will be 10 that have the ability to play. Next years Juniors and Sophmores have several that can fill holes if they work. If not, we will be lucky to win 5 games. Still, its football, and as we showed this year...heart and hard work can overcome many shortcomings. I believe we can improve on this years season with a little more work. I do hate opening up with Westview, but that is a game that needs to be scheduled every year...too close to avoid. They are big and fast, but then again....so is Mckenzie. Huntingdon, Stewart, and UC are gonna be big. Gleason has a great group of young kids stepping in. Gibson was huge last year. Bruceton looks like they got it turned around there. Not sure about West Carroll, but they usually have a few athletes there. Riverside....grrr...well 18 is gone.....thank god! Well coached tuf nosed team. No way we win very many games next year without outworking all these teams. Lazy kids need to stick to another sport. Men only apply. Sure hope we get a few fast kids transferring in. RB is our slow position. I haven't heard of any coaching changes, so the kids should know what to expect. Coach khodge, chodge, shewett, mhewett, Killebrew, evans, and that fat guy are doing a good job with these kids! Go Dresden!

Heard We are having trouble getting games. Greenfield turned yellow. South Fulton schedule filled. I hope Trenton and Halls still want a game. I think we got Westview, Gibson and maybe riverside....adamsville is a long drive and with our bus drivers not showing up til 4:15 we would struggle to get there for pregame. Would love to get a Union City or an obion on the schedule. Westview is on Thursday at UTM stadium both years. We don't match up with their speed, but dang its good to have our weakley county big brother on the schedule. Should be good for the county and the kids. Coach Hewett doing his best to get schedule done. Wish football was year a round. Skip the two BB sports. Dresden NATION>...(all 4 of us) hope next season gets here quick!

Playoff football, pound the ball, no turnovers, and tough defense. McKenzie just gave a lesson in football 101. Impressive program. Impressive coaching. Would like to see the ratio of run to pass for the last 20 state champs in 2a. Wish they were in a different district. They don't rebuild, they reload. Lucky terds!

Well, to keep from annoying other topics with our whining, here is a place for all you dresden fans to get excited about. "there is always next year" lol Got some very good kids coming back next year. Lineman have a chance to have more depth (if they get their behinds in the weight room), Linebackers should be decent, half of our defensive backfield is back, and losing qb and 24 may mean a focus on the run game...thank goodness. Pretty sure we will add Westview to the schedule and maybe stewart county and gibson still there along with Huntingdon and McKenzie should be very challenging. Gleason has a really good bunch of young kids and their middle school program has been awesome so that could be tough. Bruceton is back. Not too sure what West carroll looks like next year. I hope coach hewett adds a Union City or South Fulton to the mix.. they are good teams that are close. I counted 10 upperclass offensive lineman might be back if they can make it to workouts all summer. Huge junior class next year is the wildcard. If they step up and work hard they can make us decent. We have about 7 that will be seniors and almost all are two way players...hope they don't have to be two way next year. Sophmores have a few who are tough kids, may even push for starting positions. Freshmen...well, they are freshmen. Gonna take a year to get strong and used to the speed, work load, and hitting. We are in desperate need for speed. Hard to play against the McKenzies, westviews, and riversides without speed. Go Lions!
