I just want to point out 3 of the final 8 AAA teams were on our schedule @GCABasketball we went 1-2 vs them and could have been 3-0 easily. Had Independence beat and let it slip, we beat Oakland, and lost close to Beardon without 3 players up to speed first game of the year

Well he di hit the winning basket at .27 on tje clock I Agree on the misses it was tough but he is like 87% on the year and he did have like 27 tonight. I think he was 7/9 from 3, He was gassed but what you missed was he sprinted down the floor and blocked it with 2 secs left to seal after Yonkers blocked one with 4 secs. They were not misses they were defensive gems! But my MVP tonight or at least Co MVP was bench-man Benjamin Connor - he was the man on the post boards and D Great team win

Coach T strength of schedule does not even count 5 teams on GCA schedule. Don't forget at Christmas we were the only non 5A-6A team in the Moritz classic in Ft Worth Texas. We finished 6th out of 16 teams and almost made final four except that our point guard Gettlefinger fractured his Tibia in Game 1. We played Games 2-4 without him. One Texas Coach said Ledford and Arnold were the best 1-2 he had seen all season. Both made all tournament team. Also the 5th game was in the Clem Haskins classic in KY in January against the KY State runner up and they only had us by 7 when Arnold fouled out with 4mins left in the game. We lost to Independence after leading the whole game. WE screwed the pooch the last 3 minutes with some really dumb basketball and turnovers and lost by just a few. Then the next day we spanked Oakland for 3 quarters only to do the same thing but we held on to win that one. We are own worst enemy. In fact, I don't fear any team in single "A" ball more than I fear the "DUMB, TURNOVER PRONE, LAZY REBOUNDING, and SELFISH SHOOTING Version of 2017 GCA" and that one shows up a lot. Especially when the crowed is loud and large. But we have this other version......when it shows up with UNSELFISH Teamwork, Crisp Passing, hard working boards, and awesome shooting with good shot selection.......well ask CAK, Independence, Oakland, Catholic, Webb, Wartburg, Harriman, Meigs Co, and few others in Texas and Kentucky how good that one is. Pretty Good is the Answer......... So, will we beat Hampton and have chance to prove we belong? I don't know, but I will let you know around 9pm Monday night. All we have to do is RISE UP to the occasion and DO WHAT WE CAN DO......

Ummmm yes they can both beat Clay County. Clay County is not unbeatable. Key is a better player than 2 years ago when we booted them. But is the team around him better now than then? We can lose when we play poorly so can Clay

And by the way there was never any chance Rusty Bradley gets that job even if he offered to do it for a $1. My oldest played for GCA 2009-2012 and we remember well those years. I do hope they can keep Brewster he is a gem and I wish Coach McKamey all the best. My son just finished a 4 year college career and those two men had a tremendous amount to do with his development. We owe them both alot

All I am saying is the GCA middle school QB this year was coached by me from 2nd grade ro 7thGrade and he is the smartest football player I ever coached at that level and he has talent and toughness. Give him 3-4 years under a HC with and OC background and GCA will be fine. Those 8th graders this year were pretty good and he is the best of the bunch. GCA had 25+ 8th graders playing in a single A school this year.

The new pitching rules is one of reasons Connor A going to play again. Lets still hope he has the juice he had in 7th grade 😂 Actually he has looked pretty good with control in some recent practice times with our coach. Honestly have to make sure he is in control with that heat, dont want to kill anyone. I got to admit I kind of excited to spit the seeds again!

Ok seriously what time does the line form and what time do we need to get there? Do the visitors still go in the back door? And is the nativity scene still on the stage from the Christmas play?
