  1. Thanks for the information. I really appreciate the link. I hope our program understands these rules. I know that every program that is a contender has their players doing something year round. And I totally agree with hard work but lets be smart about it. Thanks Again
  2. If it were my intent to get our school in trouble. I would have said client names and school names. Or just called the TSSAA myself. And yes I did ask the head coach and he didnt really give a straight answer. His hands are tied anyway. And my agenda my friend is to know whether this is legal. I really wished the TSSAA would change some of the rules as far as the individual fundamental training in the summer. Just have it where no games and team scrimmages can take place. But a coach can do drills to improve fundamentals and conditioning. It would really help the players and it would take away alot of what is allowed and not allowed out of the question.
  3. This coach does our conditioning and then He grabs a couple of his clients after school works one on one. With what you said I think this is breaking a couple rules. So if we just happen to beat one of the other power houses in our district. They are going to turn us in to the TSSAA. This has been going on over the past two years. So far we haven't beat them in the region when it counts. Only the kids will suffer if this is turned over to the TSSAA.
  4. I understand making a few extra bucks. But the AD or principal don't make the rules. The TSSAA are the ones that is going to have the problem.
  5. First of all,its not the AD nor the adminstration. It's girls basketball and yes the lessons are out of season and during. If you pay you can get individual practices on the schools premises.
  6. our AD is our asst. principal and softball coach. There are certain teams in our district just waiting for us to win that key game in tourney play. Then its going to be brought to the TSSAA attention. Still wondering if its legal.
  7. Is there any rules towards a member of coaching staff getting paid by the players/parents for coaching on an individual basis outside normal practices? I think it is a conflict of interest being that he gets paid by the school system and who say's he won't slack on the normal practice to get you to sign up for his after school business. For the ones who can't afford it, oh well , you'll just have to learn all you can in normal practice. Also, I thought to do anything in the schools gym a proof of insurance and approval of practice times had to be signed?
