There was actually some of that going on both ways. I saw it! The refs were pathetic, but it wouldn't have made a difference in the game. G'ville's line was dominate and Eagleville had no answer.

Play your hearts outs Eagles! You have made us proud fans and parents. In the words of a line from a favorite movie of mine " Its your time to make your mark". If you believe the words of the Eagle pray, think it , feel it and do it.

I don't trust you, because the game still has to be played and all we are doing is talking on a message board . Ok, we only gave up 7pts, but we also fumbled the ball on drives that should've resulted in points. Besides, like most of the posters on here say, you can't compare scores because every team will match up differently.

Not according to the game film. All the points weren't scored in garbage time !

It's hard to score any more than 21pts. when you fumble to them 3 or 4 times. I don't think they scored points off any of those fumble recovery's. The offense should have scored more points, but we didn't and we can't play that way against G'ville or anyone else.

I'm taking it with a grain of salt too butthurt, but it does get a little personal when someone says things about your kids that were never said about this game. I'm generally not a serious d**m person and nobodys asking the world to give us anything. We are just defending our team just like you do.

Eagleville has only been playing varsity football for eight seasons. The first season was a JV schedule. I think for playing eight seasons that's pretty impressive no matter what school it is, save Signal Mountian. I think the coaches are just getting the kids to believe that they can play, if they play with great intensity and effort. I know my sons believe!

I see you are picking and choosing what you want to take seriously!

I am their parent and these statements about my sons talking smack aren't true. I teach them to be respectful and play hard. I don't even want them being disrespectful on the field ! This is not a family ties good humor thing, that is how situtations like this gets started. I don't even talk trash, because as my dad always told me" You may have to eat those words someday."

Someone from G'ville posting as owlball. Well, I guess you have to pull for G'ville now that the owls are roosting. The two boys playing for Eagleville aren't your wifes nephews, they are her cousins and I know as their father that we have not been talking smack about wanting to play G'ville. We do want the opportunity to play them , because it will only make us better and let our kids know what it will take to get us to that level. No one around Eagleville has been talking smack about beating G'ville, but we are looking forward to Friday night because this is new territory for us.

I saw the same game you did and if we played again the results would be the same . CA had two drives, you scored on one and QB was running for his life, made a bad decision and threw the pick. We also stopped your sweeps and out hit you. #10 didn't want to be hit! #29 was a good ball player. What did the scoreboard say?

How does your wife have two nephews playing for Eagleville ? There are only 3 sets of brothers playing on the team and only one set of them are staters. If the parents are talking smack they need to cease and desist, because they are not speaking for the team.

Probably should have beat them worse than 21-7. We had had trouble holding on to the ball and we can't do that against G'ville. Defense was outstanding!

Every game played there is a chance for either team to win. If Eagleville would have capitalized on its fumbles the score would have been 42-7. Would ah, should ah, could ah, but we didn't and we can't have those type of mistakes against G'ville or we will be in for a long night. Eaglville's defense was outstanding and if they pick it up a notch, we will give G'ville a good game.
