Discipline won this game. With 2:08 Lipscomb 32 - Fulton 18. Both teams played their hearts out. What a fun game to watch. Both programs should be proud. Both teams have showed class.

Both coaches, to me, have made terrible decisions, as far as the special teams go. Lipscomb should have kicked a field goal instead of going for it on 4th down, they have one of the best kickers in the state. Now Fulton, with over 8 min to go decides to go for it on 4th down instead of punting. Very interesting.

Now Fulton just jumps offsides when Lipsomb is getting ready to punt. Fulton is not very disciplined. Lipscomb has made them jump a few times on 4th down. Lipscomb has a chance to put this away if they protect the football.

Will someone please tell the refs to keep the flags in their pocket. Most of the flags are ticky tack. Or is it just me?

GP wins. Lipscomb on first play fumbles and GP recovers. Great game. Final 21-14. Heartbreak loss for the Mustangs. Give GP credit for never giving up. They were down the entire game.

GP scores TD on 2nd play in OT. Extra point good. 21-14. Lipscomb about to be on offense.

Lipscomb tries about a 48 yd field goal to win it but GP blocks the kick. 14-14 OT

2:18 to go in 4th qtr. GP ties the game at 14 all with a Mahan TD pass to Rogan. Was a nice scramble by Mahan to find the open Rogan. OT???? We shall see.

5 min left in game still 14-7. GP huge interception deep in their own territory. GP has in Lipscomb territory.

All of the Montgomery County schools have middle school baseball. This will be their 2nd year of existence. The school only recognizes one sport though and that is basketball. So baseball, softball, and soccer do not get recognized as a middle school sport.

 

Rossview and Northeast should be taking the crown at the end of year tournament this year. Richview had the best team last year but lost a lot of good athletes. I believe both Rossview and Richview are playing in the Twitty-City tournament.

Will Coach Peden be back with the new staff?

If this is true, what a heck of a football coach Antioch has gotten themselves. I know there is going to be some people upset that Bush didnt get the job. Bush seemed like the obvious choice but I guess the admistration thought differently. If and that is a big IF this is true about Woodard there are going to be some bigtime disagreements about this choice. Coach Woodard is a great man with solid football coaching abilities. Antioch should feel lucky to have him.

They haven't done anything, but when a Columbia Central guy puts his team before mine, I have to say something. Especially since they were predicted to make the playoffs this year and did not.

I'll give you that one. I thought you were referring to just anyone making predictions about next years region order of finish. What do you think the problem with Centennial is. Coaching? The Players dont care? What are your thought on that? When I watched them play Ravenwood, Centennial looked like they were just going thru the motions. They had no excitement about being out there. They were so predictable that I was calling the plays from the stands. My thoughts are that they need a new head man. He may be a great guy but he is not getting the most out of those kids.

Please continue to count out my Centennial Cougars. I'll make sure to let them know that everyone has ALREADY counted them out.

What has Centennial done to deserve predictions of making the playoffs? In 2004 they were supposed to be in the top 1 or 2 & didnt even make the playoffs. That is why people continue to disscount the Cougars. So if you choose to go tell your boys then so be it, I dont think anyone will be scared. Good luck to your Cougars though.
