Discipline won this game. With 2:08 Lipscomb 32 - Fulton 18. Both teams played their hearts out. What a fun game to watch. Both programs should be proud. Both teams have showed class.

Both coaches, to me, have made terrible decisions, as far as the special teams go. Lipscomb should have kicked a field goal instead of going for it on 4th down, they have one of the best kickers in the state. Now Fulton, with over 8 min to go decides to go for it on 4th down instead of punting. Very interesting. Now Fulton just jumps offsides when Lipsomb is getting ready to punt. Fulton is not very disciplined. Lipscomb has made them jump a few times on 4th down. Lipscomb has a chance to put this away if they protect the football.

Will someone please tell the refs to keep the flags in their pocket. Most of the flags are ticky tack. Or is it just me?

Will Coach Peden be back with the new staff?

If this is true, what a heck of a football coach Antioch has gotten themselves. I know there is going to be some people upset that Bush didnt get the job. Bush seemed like the obvious choice but I guess the admistration thought differently. If and that is a big IF this is true about Woodard there are going to be some bigtime disagreements about this choice. Coach Woodard is a great man with solid football coaching abilities. Antioch should feel lucky to have him.

I'll give you that one. I thought you were referring to just anyone making predictions about next years region order of finish. What do you think the problem with Centennial is. Coaching? The Players dont care? What are your thought on that? When I watched them play Ravenwood, Centennial looked like they were just going thru the motions. They had no excitement about being out there. They were so predictable that I was calling the plays from the stands. My thoughts are that they need a new head man. He may be a great guy but he is not getting the most out of those kids.

What has Centennial done to deserve predictions of making the playoffs? In 2004 they were supposed to be in the top 1 or 2 & didnt even make the playoffs. That is why people continue to disscount the Cougars. So if you choose to go tell your boys then so be it, I dont think anyone will be scared. Good luck to your Cougars though.

If I remember correctly, Clint Marks was very skinny coming in his freshman year. He still looks thin to me going into his senior year. They can put the weight on a guy with the proper diet & weight program. Somebody needs to snatch Jennings up before he gets away. He is the real deal. Bobby Johnson are you reading this thread. He would be perfect for Vandy.

Redtwin, please tell me you were NOT at the game. If you were at the game then you would know that BA did not TAKE it to Ravenwood. Ravenwood had 5-6 turnovers (all of which BA capitilized TD's out of) also Ravenwood had 10 penalties. BA did make the plays to beat the Raptors that night. So dont make this sound like it was a lopsided afair.

I watched the replay of the game the other night & after halftime he was interviewed & Coach Stanton called out his line & also said they were not tackling well. I agree with those two comments but he should have added that he & his coaching staff was getting outcoached. It looked like he was not wanting to take any responsibility for them getting beat. I have heard many interviews of coaches saying they were getting outcoached & that would have been a perfect opportunity for coach Stanton to gain some respect from unbiased fans. I lost a little respect for the man when he didnt shoulder any of the blame. Just my opinion. I am sure he is a great man. He is a great young coach but I think he needs to learn how to shoulder some blame when need be instead of blaming players all of the time.

Ravenwood did not have the speed that Franklin, Columbia, Ridgeway etc... had either & was very successful against those teams. Ravenwood plays very disciplined team defense & brings an attitude to the ball carrier. HEART is what has gotten Ravenwood to this point as well.

Ole Dad, If you read my post carefully you'll see where I agreed that it takes several several years to build tradition and or a dynasty. By the way, it is twitty to you sir. I know you are in awe of the Wildcats and probably should be but dont let that distract you from who you SHOULD be pulling for. You should want the Gold Ball to remain in Middle TN. I have a feeling you are rooting for the Wildcats because they knocked off your beloved Warriors. They are not world beaters. Get off of their bandwagon.

TC Jennings said that to a newspaper reporter. A coach did not say that. I agree that it takes several several years to create a great program & tradition. I think the Ravenwood seniors are thinking the same thing as far as taking care of business one last time. I will say this: I will not be surprised if Ravenwood comes out on top in this game. They are a very solid & veteran team that is being looked at right now as the underdog & probably should be. Just dont be surprised if you look up at the scoreboard late in the game & Ravenwood is on top. This will be a great game barring tons of mistakes & turnovers by either team. In my opinion all of the pressure is on Oak Ridge. I know that the players are not looking at it that way but from a fan stand point. The pressure is all on you Oak Ridge folk. Because you are SUPPOSED to win because of the name on your chest. Good luck Raptors!! Bring down Goliath once again.
