Lexington at this piont looks like they are going home early!!

He transferred because he never saw playing time. I just said he wasn't that quick, never said he wasnt good and not saying he could have been better playing for another school that got more college attention. Rocky Scott was solid at Scotts Hill but recruits didn't know Scotts hill existed.

Yes I know Drew Hayes, As a matter of fact the very guy I am talking about played baseball with him under his dad Glenn Hayes at Bethel. He could throw the ball, The individual i am talking about could throw as well as drew if he would have just played and would have without a doubt been faster than Sellers. As a matter of fact Lexington beat a high ranked Mckenzie team 3-2 that year in football. Durrell Moody kicked the field goal to win it.

Ty Had no speed at all an it showed. Buckley made him look good. I don't see how you can day Ty I'd one of the best when he never got past the second round of the playoffs. Since this is a Page thread I'm sure they remember him well. They kept him on the ground most of the night. But as was stated earlier, coaching has a lot to do with it. Not the Steve was a horrible coach he had a different mentality about him, that got him a crappy title. One if the best QB's never came out to play because of Steve and if he had have played Ty Evans would be a unheard of WR, some may know who I'm talking about but he broke baseball records at bethal. Tennis you are right, Lexington plays like they played against Bolivar yes they will go home. To You Mr. 2012 thanks for the comment as "Mr." i will have to say that is a first, coming from a kid I have known his whole life..lol. No need to bash me we are on the same team here. Just saying we cant afford to slip up while playing in the cold as we did at bolivar, heck the first half a quarter with Mcnairy wasnt good for the lexington D. they couldnt stop Sutton hardly, but adjustments was made and quite like the chester co QB he didnt want anymore as he walked off the feild with a limp. As was already stated in another forum, Most team play there best towards the end of the season, seems Lex worst games have ended up at the end of the season. I was not impressed and havnt been as impressed this year as I was last season. I just hope it out of there system, cause you gotta play hard ball at this piont. There are 32 teams starting in this thing, and to think its coming down to Lexington- Greenville in the finals is a slight be immature dont you think? I dont think for one second any of you are right but if im wrong ill fess up. Its the playoffs boys the part of the year any and everything happens.

Chris they better have some tricks up there sleeve!! Other wise your Very Special Moment has been done before. Not Bashing, Just Saying, its not district ball anymore. To those with info on Page stated "Tough Defense" I will say Lex has had there share of tough Defense this year, but what it will come down too in Playoffs is who plays well on both sides of the ball..

If Lexington Defense does not play any better against Page than they play at bolivar central, Page will send them home 1st round. Just another Big head in "L-town" They for sure want make it past Liberty in the 3rd or Chester in the 4th!

All pollsters I'm sure remember the talk of how 14AA was unrated and did not play talent in there district, with the season all said and all done. In my opinion and based on season records and seeing all of the teams play good ball, I think the under dog 14AA will be represented deep into the playoffs. I will indeed go as far to say without a doubt more than likely one of, if not the fastest in 4A. Good luck to all teams all across the state. Best Wishes to 14AA Teams.

Ok I been to every Lexington Game this year but one and a BIG FAN. I dont see us even making it to play Greenville. Lexington is prolly gonna get knocked off by either Liberty or Chester County, because they cant play defense. Lexington has a soft spot and thats it. I dont see Greenville winning it all again though, somewhere i think someone will beat them. I may be wrong, but in sure they are not last years team

definalty could tell CC defense did there homework. I think it was plain to see what films and games CC saw of lexington. It wasnt simple as i said in the LHS CC thread, it sellers and 2 plays thats it. Phelps main attack was around the ends, he was stopped up the gut. CC quarterback took a beating from LHS D, at times limping off the field, but always came back to get hammered again. CC shotgun means pass play without a doubt. they dont pass under center. CC came ready to play LHS and I feel like LHS D still needs lots and lots of work way to many open holes to run through.

and he/she is wrong. I'm a Lexington fan an i know for a facts they have flaws starting with an over confident defense.

yes i agree with you the defense inprooves each week. n one said liberty played awful they just let mental fundamentals beat them. Lexington would be sitting 5-1 had liberty had not had so many penalties. Thats the truth and thats it. As far as the 2 plays, I'm sure the have more in the playbook to, but those 2 will not stand play after play after play come playoff time.

I see liberty beating lexington in round 2 "IF" they can become more diciplined and shooting them selves in the foot. I mean really a team that can not hardly be reckoned with in a foot race, but yet 3 off sides penalties in a row. Lexington also needs more than 2 plays I mean yeah its working but after awhile you dont need much film on them due to being so simple, geeze you have the talent to own the field utilize more than two players and two plays. again I say to play with the big boys you gotta be able to stop them and as many piont as Lexington has given up against "mediocre" teams doesnt say a lot for defense.

Tennis, I agree with you totally,I feel like Greenville is the team to beat, I do not for one second see a west tenn team taking them down this year. I feel like Lexington had potential to face them last year but no way could have beat them. The O-line is tough as an Ox and the are beast. no speed can match there power. I hope i eat those words. As we all know play off time means big Hype and big Hype means Big Upsets!!

Please let me add that Haliburton and Sellers are not the only weapons Lexington has either. I think that was well show im the Liberty game to where the run game was actually broken down to more that just 2 plays. Lexington offense had to make some changes in the mid first Quarter to make adjustments for Liberty's fast defense. I will say that Liberty is very fast and has a very dominate offensive and is in my opinion as fast as the Tresvant Team we saw in 4th round last post season. Most of these Lexington kids have saw past the first round of the state playoffs there whole HS career. Chester County my not be a pushover, but I promise you after seeing Liberty play ball, It's a shame that there is not a Topic that states "Liberty Hype" because they and Lexington was the best two teams in the district and still are. If any one deserves to say there schedule is stronger that any it would be Liberty. I am A Big Red fan to the bone, but I was impressed by Liberty hands down. Lexington needs to focus on South Side this week one game at a time. Then I will tell you next week at this time if Chester County can even beat SS. Our district is stronger than the state give us credit to be, and I'm hoping it shows in the playoffs. That is where the tough teams and Tough talk will make its bed... lexington should give the second team QB an oportunity to shine and save the big boys from injuries and save them for big games... Scotts Hill Will Not be a problem for lexington seconf team i dont think! Should not even be playing such a knockoff team with no skill. waste of time!!! we should be playing big team and preping for the playoffs!!!

I know for a fact and I dont feel like Lexington nor Liberty nor Chester County can hold a light to teams like Signal Mountian and Greenville. Greenville is beast on the field. Liberty is fast but cant hold to strength of Greenville. Neither would Lexington. Montague you got it down and you a Big Red fan that knows your game and football.

Dont have a top ten, but I'm a die hard Lexington fan even in a losing situation..Liberty is no knock off and had very very good talent, I believe Liberty could easily beat Lexington in a foot race anyday, but there fundementals and flags hurt them. Lexington also had many flags and lacks small things. It would surprise me to see a team faster than Liberty in west tenn. They got speed, as Far as Chester county goes yes they have playing tough teams, but Liberty is fast and will hit you hard ask Lexington in the first quarter, but dont let Lexington Fool you they fight till the finish and dont give up easy ask Liberty. Most team would have through up there hands at 14-0 but a team answer with 5 TD's after the fact has something. so for Liberty and Lexington to get pushed aside by CC not gonna happen sorry. The eagles will unfortunatly suffer 2 loses in district play and hopefully come back to represent well in the playoffs.

A good experienced QB is a difference maker. no i wasnt on the edge at all. I think if there was a 2nd team Qb that had practiced at QB as much as Sellers the show would have been different. Adamsville would not have a prayer agains Lexington 1800+ Line or not. 1800+ pounds on a line means nothing but sssllloowww and unconsistant. The Adamsville Line I am sure is nothing to compare to the White House Line!

If it happens ill stay home all year and want even watch football... for a team this good to get beat is unethical and If lexington stays healthy.. blue cross could be polished with a little red!!!!

i agree with you somewhat, but the maplewood game was alot closer than greenville thought it would be and g-ville think they are going to blow trezvant away correct me if im wrong but game 4 was the closest game yall have seen all year and two touchdowns away from sending greenville packing..hope g-ville can hang with the speed.

Nobody is stooping to a level, it was a well played game with great momentum breakers, i am happy to say i support T high all the way they desreve highly to beat Greenville and i will support T High all the way. I am sorry you let a internet blog offend you in such away that you say its stooping to levels, my apologees but thjat is may feelings toward it along with i also feels both teams played great ball!
