Yes, what goes 'round comes 'round - an important phrase to remember. Was the game changed? Yes. Should anyone else care? No! If all schools would just take care of themselves and leave the policing of the others alone, we'd all be better off. Ususally, the district meeting is held on the Saturday before the tournament begins. This year CA decided to set it earlier. Their call, who cares? But, if the meeting had been left on Saturday, moving the game from Thursday to Friday wouldn't have been a big deal. But, again, that was CA's call. But, whoever heard of a coach thinking he could make a motion for the tournament director to be able to make the call on when a regular season game is going to be played? If that's the case, the tournament director would have to be responsible for everybody's schedule for the whole season, not just the last one. No one would want that job - no one, that is that puts in the needed time to be a good coach.
Those of you who have so much to say about Coach Petrone should wish your coach put in so much time to build a good program. You can say whatever you wish about his ways but if you step away from your emotions you will have to admit he knows the game of basketball and he knows how to teach it to his players. Not every coach can say that. And, that my friends, leaves a bitter, bitter taste in the mouth which comes across as sour grapes.
Good luck to all the teams!
