  8. Ooltewah wins the District 6-AAA tournament over Red Bank 25-19, 25-27, 25-22 and 25-18. Congrats to the Lady Owls and the Lady Lions for a very entertaining and well played match. Both teams advance to next weeks Region 3 tournament at Cleveland Middle School. I believe the first matches will be on Monday night and the Finals on Tuesday night. Times TBD.
  9. Ooltewah did a great job of attacking and hitting the ball and had very few errors of any kind. In hitting Ooltewah was lead by Whitney Wulf and Taylor Gatewood and Gretchen Higdon did a great job setting. Red Bank was led by Bailee Chastain (as usual) and did get strong support from Christine Britt and Erica Shrophshire with defensive support from Erin Massman. 14. I also just noticed that someone apparently dosen't understand "bracketology" (assuming the seed #'s are correct as shown) in District 5-AAA. They have #3 playing #5 and #4 playing #6. Part of the reason for getting a "higher" seed is you earn the right to play a lower seed (in this case the "lower" seed). It should be #3 vs. #6 and #4 vs. #5. Don't know that it really matters but I found it interesting.
  15. http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_93889.asp Complete Vball brackets posted for all: 5-A/AA & AAA, 6-A/AA & 6-AAA. Just go to the link above!
  16. #1 seed OHS will face #4 Central @ 5:30 pm, on Monday with #2 Red Bank playing #3 Soddy Daisy, in the second Match. The Finals will be Tuesday @ 6:30 pm. Hope to see you there! Go Lady Owls!!
  17. Ooltewah won in 3 games, to clinch the #1 seed in upcoming 6AAA District tournament. 25-14, 25-19 and 25-19. CU, you were right, it just flew by. And thanks to a nice note from BE, I didn't get quite as emotional as I thought I would. Thanks to everyone for the support!
  18. Ah yes.................................. the memories! Thanks C20, and who says we won't be seeing each other again soon?
  19. Ok, I'm sitting hear getting a little teary-eyed just reading your alls post! And CP to save you a "post" ......yeah I know, I'm a "big baby"!
  20. Ooltewah will be hosting Soddy Daisy and Boyd Buchanan on Thursday night, in their last regular season match of the 2006 season. Varsity play begins at approximately 5:30 pm. Whitney Wulf (#14) and Rachel Robbs (#24) are the only 2 seniors on the team. Both will be honored before the first match. You girls have contributed so much to the Ooltewah team and we wish you both the best, as your career at OHS begins to wind down.
  21. CU, that would require way too much thinking! Plus, now that PatsFan has decided to make an "example" of even "specific" topics, that were posted in "jest" (obviously), I don't feel it to be appropriate at this time. I wouldn't want him/her to twist any of the words I say into something that they really said first (like accusing someone else of "babbling"). Now, I'm starting to ramble and probably will repeat something I've already said on this post about 10 times, so I better get going before I start sounding just like PF.
  22. Here's link to article with stats: http://www.chattanoogan.com/articles/article_94015.asp
  23. In an exciting and tough 5 game match, Red Bank pulls it out 25-23, 17-25, 18-25, 25-16 and 15-12. Both teams played well and it could have gone either way but Red Bank pulled through, after being down 2 games to 1.
  24. Red Bank will play Ooltewah tonight at 5:30 pm. Ooltewah is undefeated in the District and Red Banks only loss was to the Owls, a couple of weeks ago. If Ooltewah wins, they are the #1 seed in District 6AAA. If Red Bank wins, there could be a tie and I have no idea what the tie-breakers are.
