  3. 2019 AAU Disney Duals

    SEAAU will be sending 1 or 2 teams to the AAU Disney Duals this year. The tournament is June 18th-24th and kids will get scratch PLUS 5 lbs.

    IF you have an athlete interested in attending, please email me. We are in the process of seeing who is interested. If wrestle offs are needed, those will be arranged.

    We will have cost ironed out in the next two weeks (Cost in the past have been around $350, which includes, gear package, help with transportation and lodging)

     

    WHEN: June 18th- 25th

    WHERE: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World®Resort.    Orlando, Florida 

    COST: TBD  Approximately $350

    Most certainly not. Looking to have a few more tournaments. Great tournament today.  Huge thank to our head official from Atlanta GA, as well as our 8 UTC wrestlers who allowed us to run 3 man mechanics.  We also had a few HS athletes that helped ref and were given money towards any potential national team trips they wish to go on.

    Huge thank to AAU, who covered ALL fees of our head ref. Great day.

    FREESTYLE AND GRECO TOURNAMENT 

    GET SIGNED UP TODAY!!!!

    Weigh ins: Friday 6-8 and Saturday 7 am-8am(Arena)

    Wrestling begins at 9 am with Greco with Freestyle beginning immediately after

    Running 4 mats with 3 man mechanics (get 6-8 matches)

     

    When registering, Track will automatically sign you up for both styles. If you only wish to wrestle 1, we will reimburse your $5 on site.

    PS. HUGE thank you to Jeremie Welder (WOSBO Wrestling Club) for taking time out of his weekend to offer his wealth of knowledge to 70 young men and women this past weekend. If you want your athletes to improve year in and year out, getting involved in FS/GR is very important. We are aways willing to give back to those who wish to get involved but are not familiar with the rules and what to teach.

    THIS JUST IN!!!!!

    Jeramie Welder, WOSBO Head Coach, Coached MANNNY TN State Champions, and FARGO GRECO CHAMPION will be joining me clinic as well to give back! If you don’t know Jeramie, he is EASILY one of the greatest wrestling minds in Tennessee! Those at the camp are in for a treat.

    Remember ALL your youth kids(K-8) already have AAU Cards, all is needed is that they sign up.

    FIRST AAU FS/GR Tournament in TN

    In addition to the tournament:

    The RTC South will host a coaches clinic April 7, Sunday at UTC, from 1-3 PM to review some curriculum hand-outs, technical session for FR and GR, and review rules. RTC SOUTH is trying to get a head ref from the northeast to attend. More to follow. Please pass the word. The RTC South really wants a lot of coaches to come out April 7 for the coaches clinic, meet the staff, and get aligned. The practice will follow that same day from 4-6 PM.

    *******ANY kids or coaches that wish to come to the tournament and want to make a weekend trip out of this, may stay in the Jones Wrestling Center to reduce any cost.********

    More Info: Coach Bosken is a highly experienced and decorated coach for Higher Calling Wrestling Club (Cleveland) that has produced 75+ State Champs over the last 10 years. He has been kind enough to volunteer his time to put on a clinic to help better explain FS & GR rules, as well as, show us some drills to help improve our skills. He will also be bringing a few Cleveland wrestlers along with him. Please take advantage of this opportunity!

    We are ready to make a difference in our state and we want to help those who are interested but unfamiliar with the new style.

     

    If interested, we can arrange a small coaches clinic at your school to help teach you the rules and show you some skills and drills to prepare your athletes....FOR FREE!!!

    Bosken Trained Camps 

    Limited Spots Available

    BT camps take pride in every athlete making gains at every camp. Cleveland HS Alumni and current HS wrestlers are in attendance at every camp to assure every athlete gets individualized attention. We offer TWO 5 days camps, Advanced and Intermediate, which are located in Cleveland TN. These two camps are overnight camps, all meals are provided and athletes will sleep on air mattress in the Jones Center. We also offer satellite camps, all available dates are below. Please contact me if your program is interested.

     

    Advanced Camp- June 2nd-6th- 

    COST-$275 LIMITED to 60 WRESTLERS

    Focus- Connecting takedown to immediate turns AND developing a mindset that bottom wrestling is important. ALOT OF DRILLING, Introduction to proper Strength training, and LIVE LIVE LIVE!!!!

     

    Intermediate Camp- June 16th-20th

    COST-$175 LIMITED to 60 WRESTLERS

    Focus- Learning how to drill effectively. This camp will prepare all beginner/intermediate kids to drill at a pace with older kids which will ultimately allow them to learn at a higher rate.

     

    SATTELITE OPEN DATES

    With our satellite camps, we will come to you. We will bring 15-20 of our athletes here at Cleveland (Youth-HS) to come train and offer different partners for your athletes. Below are the available dates. Camp lengths vary depending on what the program desires. 

    1 Day-$50 (4 sessions)

    2 Day-$80 (7 sessions)

    3 Day-$100 (10 sessions)

     

    1. June- 9th-15th
    2. June- 23rd-26th
    3. July 1st-6th
    4. July-22nd-26th
