What really hurt us was the fact that we were missing four starters on defense Friday night, and our quarterback was limping the whole game. Two of those starters are done for the year. Ripley is lucky to have such a dedicated coaching staff. Ripley was 0-10 the year before Coach McAdams arrived. Dyer, be ready come Friday. Coach Mac will have our guys ready. COUNT ON IT! Crocket 7,I think before the season is up yall will find it is harder to win in Region 7 aaa than 8aaa. Did Crocket use too be 8aa ball team?? Ripley O and D line average close to 300 lbs and all of them can run. I think come Friday night Crocket might learn a little something from the big boys. No secret, I'm Page Latham, Old Tiger 74. My son is starting LG Will Latham (#54 Sophmore; 6-3, 240). Pierre ran for 157 yards and 2 TDs. The kicking has improved alot since Dyersburg. Who are you? Ripley Old School, Ripley 40 Treadwell 14. Freshmen and JV played most of forth quarter. I thought we played well. Covington only beat Treadwell by 8 points (21-13). Looking forward to Friday. I'll be at the top of bleachers at the 50 yard line. PS: Your name doesn't happen to be Bobby does it?

Region 7-3A Sophmore offensive guard Will Latham, still 15, is 6'3", weighs 235 lbs., wears a size 15 shoe, and he eats 15 lbs of chicken a week. He won a weight meet in Dyersburg for the 219-229 weight class. Has started in all of Ripley's first four games, and Ripley has rushed for over 300 yds in each game. Best of all, he has a 98.7 gpa. While Ripley did make some mistakes Friday night, Hillcrest really played a good game. According to some of Ripley's guys, Hillcrest was the fastest team we've played so far, including Dyersburg. In the end, it was still a shutout. Coach McAdams showed some real class at the end of the game. Ripley had the ball on the 2 with 30 seconds left and Coach Mac opted to kneel it instead of running up the score.

Dyersburg may have whooped Crocket Co., but only edged Ripley by 8 points. Ripley had more rushing yards, more completions, and blocked an extra point. Dyersburg only out played Ripley in the kicking game. We look forward to seeing Dyersburg again in the playoffs. Good luck to everyone, we look forward to playing everyone in the weeks to come.
