  1. I'm pretty sure this is our 2011 Schedule.

    Week 0-Moore Co.(Home)

    Week 1-Open

    Week 2-Union City(Away)

    Week 3-Cascade(Home)

    Week 10-Perry Co.(Home)

    Than Mount Pleasent(Home), C'ville(Away), Collinwood(Away), Columbia AC.(Away), Loretto(Home), Richland(Away). I don't know the weeks of these games.

Teams that dropped us: Chester Co., McEwen, Lewis Co.

Chester Co should have stuck around a couple more years, they quit too early.

  2. Sorry, but the 1A state game was played when G-ville and South Pitt played. Not JB and South Pitt.

I didnt mean any disrespect to anyone, I was just saying that I watched the title game and JB just didnt come out and give SP all they had and I believe it was a good lesson learned and with all the starters that JB returns next year you gotta believe they will be back and much more prepared for the big game than they were this year. But at the same time SP is the state champions and very deserving of it, so once again congratulations.

  3. Awwww come on OP i will stir it around time time wit ya ,,,,,i sling my on Skillet :thumb::roflol:

Im not saying anything bad about SP and I am in no way saying they shouldnt have won state because they are a great football team that knows how to win, but at the same time I got to see JB up close a few times and theres no way that SP was as much better than JB as the score showed. I think JB was capable of playing them alot closer than they did, so Im not going to pick a favorite for next year Im gonna say it will be the same 2 playing for it again with WC and Gville following right behind them.

  4. Yeah, our coachs have always taken care of our field. I guess, I know where I'll be eating...Ryans. There is a real good one in Florance. So, if it is as good as that one. I'll be eating there. I havn't ever heard of a Sasafras.

I wish we could get some volunteers to help the coaches with the field and try and get it in a little better shape. Theres been lots of improvments made in the past few years its just the routine maintenance they need help with. My hats off to Coach Rice, I dont know where he finds the time.

  5. We had 2 or 3 who were pretty big for their age, I guess, but who knows if they will even play again or not. You never can tell.

WC got one kid thats about 6 foot and weighs about 230 that can run, then you got a receiver that will be a freshman thats about 6'2 thats gonna be a big help down the road. The Turnbow boy was the middle schools QB this year is very athletic will prob be QB in a couple years.

  6. I just want to add one thing to the QB argument, what would Rice's stats looked like if he had played 4 QTRS all year? The kid was pulled at the half or after the first drive of the 2ND half in about 5 games this year. Coach Rice could have left him in to build his stats up but thats not how he does things.

  7. Well, I know that Logan Montgomary from Collinwood is already gonna be a sophmore, but he is gonna be somethin to watch this year. I know three kids to watch for from Wayne Co. are Chase Turnbow(QB/OLB), Peyton Bratcher(OL/DL), and Lucas Pierce(TE/DE).

Yes the Montgomery kid will be a sophomore but he is one of the most athletic kids I have seen in awhile. Whats PC got coming up?

  8. I'm not saying there are guys on there that don't deserve it, either. I'm sure those kids have all been out there busting their butts all season...BUT I think there are a lot who DO deserve it that AREN'T on there. I know they have to limit how many are nominated, but seriously...

I'm not putting down anybody on there, and this is all I am going to say on the matter. If you look at the list, there are 2 from JB, 2 from WC, 2 from CA, 2 from Cornersville, 2 from Copper Basin, 1 from PC and then the lineman from Knox Grace, who I'm guessing they probably felt obliged to put on there because he won Mr. Football. Mercer is one of the best, if not the best, WR in the state, and he's not on there. SP won the championship, and not a single one of their players are on there. Kind of makes you wonder who was at this banquet, doesn't it?

And CB, I am glad to see C'ville's QB get a little recognition. I was impressed with him, he's a player for sure!

Where can you see the list or could someone post it on here?
  9. I think Cwood will surprise alot of people next year, they are gonna have lots of young talent especially at the QB position with Logan Montgomery. It seems WC senior bunch has always got the better of Cwoods senior group in the past but I look for Cwood to start turning things around this year. They are gonna be really good for the next few years.

  10. We did enjoy it, and we will enjoy being champs again next season. WC wont stop us prepare to lose on your home field.

WC underestimated PC this year and let PC slip up on them. It wont happen again and dont be surprised if Region MVP dont come down to Tucker and Rice again.

  11. Yhea, I can't wait to see how A.Rice does back there and to see us finally get back to the ol type of Wanye Co. offense. Although, the D is what I'm most excited about seeing. We got all LBs back and our whole secondary.

WC loses Jansen Bratcher, Jacoby Brewer, and Dalyn Teeftaller and thats it I think and Jacoby and Dalyn both played with injuries most of the year so there was alot of young guys who got lots of experience this year. I look for D. Rumbaugh to have a great senior season, the kid just keeps growing, he should be around 290 by next year.

  12. I sure hope not, with the success of this year might cause other students that didn't consider playing football become interested in coming up. Their coach has proven he can do the job. They took some big steps this year ie: beating Wayne etc. Tradition has to start somewhere, maybe this is the time for PC. Glad to see a changing of the guard in the district. Next year will be interesting to watch and see how it plays out. Who does Wayne have for backup after the Rice boys are both gone? PC has to fill the loss of dre. I sure don't see PC going back to 0-10 etc. If they can hang on to the coach and improve their D they can be in the hunt for a while.

In a few short years there will be a new Rice era starting in WC, their little brother Preston will move to middle school ball next year.

  13. First off, congratulations to Jo Byrns on an outstanding year. You guys had a great season and the people I met after the game were very classy and complimentary. I'm sure losing #34 on the first series really hurt, especially on defense. I know he was a load during the year on offense but playing as the "last man back" at safety probably helped open up even bigger running lanes for us once he went out. I hope that he is ok. I truly expect you guys to be in the thick of things next year in the west. Good luck next year.

As for the Pirates, great game. Great game plan. Great execution. Heck, it was even a great victory march through town. Congratulations on another great season and another gold trophy for the case. Vic and staff did a tremendous job of preparing. The pregame speech, from what I hear, was excellent. For a team that "can't shut down the run or play physical football," Danny's D seemed to step up and answer the call. All around tremendous showing for the orange and black. Players, relish what happened tonight. Enjoy it. This is truly something that you will remember for a lifetime.

Congratulations again to Jo Byrns on a great year and a huge congrats to the Pirates on the victory. Thanks for another year of great memories.

I would have to say I didnt see this one coming, yall must have a great team so congratulations from over here in WC. And for JB yall had a great season and hope JB and WC can get back together again next year. Once again congratulations to both teams on 2 great years.
