Well, I have followed this district for a while now....they always have quality teams and there is solid coaching going on each year (for the most part). 

Who are the teams to look out for this season? Who has the squad that is ready to make that next step? Are the Bluedevils ready to go on to the next step? What does WH-Heritage have coming back?

CCCHS is young but look athletic from what I saw this summer.

Come on everyone tell us what you think.

Either way your grudge shows..."weak as water" comment might be the stupidest thing I have read all year. You might want to give them a little love since they represent this area and apparently you are not (or your kid is not). 

I think it will be a great game and don't be shocked if MC pulls off the upset...after all they have been making you look foolish all year. I hope they do it some more just to bust your balls.

Hamilton Heights also has a player going to Virginia Tech and one coming to MTSU.

All 3 of these D-1 signees are from Canada. 

Watch out boys...Canada is catching the U.S. in high school basketball. We have too many playing so it is a numbers game based on population, etc...

CPA is well coached and classy? 

Hmmm...not sure about classy as the fans at least are some of the most opinionated and arrogant fans in TSSAA. Very entitled group and that begins with their coach, imo.

MC will change the defenses up: 2-3 zone, 1-3-1 zone (3/4 court and 1/2), and man 2 man. 

Good size inside and they have several players outside who can hit the 3 point shot.

The only thing I wonder about for MC is the press....Central was able to bother them with their man pressure @ Cookeville. Will Tyner be able to bother them on a high school court? 

I think it is a wire to wire game though and MC comes out on top by 3 points.

You guys got me wrong. I am not hating on MC....I just think familiarity breeds contempt. 

I think Upperman will pull off a shocker in the region championship game. 

By the way...MC has beat CM twice by 2 points (the first one being decided by a bad call for Ashburn as he wasn't fouled and then Ashburn fouls the MC pg and no call). The second game is decided on the final position with a crazy shot to take the lead. Should be a good game no matter who wins. 

Upperman and Macon County both are good teams and I look forward to seeing them play again. I got no dog in this fight just love good high school basketball.

I got 

MC over CM by 5...they have owned them all season.

Upperman over LA by 10...same reason as above.

MC and Upperman in the heavyweight championship for the Region 4!

Wow Coach K could be proud of that one!

Coach did a good job with his team this year and I said as much that he should be considered for coach of the year.

I didn't say you did not give him credit I just thought it was odd you said that you "were not a fan" even though you did not know him. 

No I do not have a kid that plays for him or ever has. Mine plays against him.  Strictly a personal issue. Make no mistake I'm not saying he is not a good coach but I have limited experience with him. I did agree he was a contender for coach of the year. Just hard to beat coach Welch at Macon going undefeated in the district.

Well since you don't know him and never had a kid play for him then what you are really saying is the personal issue is....you. You just don't like him for no reason. 

I agree hard to go against Welch since they went undefeated 14-0 in district.

No, it is not even the same. I am willing to bet that these 2 teams (based on what I could see from opponents on their schedule) either pressed the whole game (which means unless you turn someone over at a high rate) they gave up multiple layups or open 3's....to which makes my point....the defense was lacking. 

Great offense but come one...these 2 teams are not power houses which makes me suspect their defense is lacking. 

Don't really know what records has to do with a night where both teams were making shots. Guess you would have had to see the game. Both teams have double digit wins for the season and I know Community non district schedule is mostly AA and AAA teams. Only games that matter are the district games.

Let me rephrase it...based on Community's schedule I don't put a lot of stock in the game. 

Their AAA teams that they played? With the exception Beech (who is down this year) they are  BAD AAA teams :Tullahoma? Coffee County? Franklin Co? Yeah, real tough AAA competition there.  

I am not down playing the offense that these 2 teams put up but I am betting the defense was lacking.

Got to disagree...don't think a lot of defense was played by either team. Based on both of these 2 programs records this year defense seems to be lacking for both programs. Just my opinion and no I did not see the game. 

Wow, 116 to 103? Someone posted that there was some defense played on another post on Coacht.com but I have a hard time believing with that score ANY defense got played!

As for the finale on the year....Macon Co goes 14-0, Upperman will finish 12-2, Livingston will finish 8-6, Central Magnet and York will finish 7-7, Smith County will go 5-9, Dekalb County will finish 3-11, and Cannon County will go 1-13.

Should be an interesting tourny...what will be the tie breaker for CM and York? I know they split with each other. York got swept by LA...would this give CM an edge? They seem to have the same record against everyone else. 

Predictions on the tournament? Who wants to step out on a limb here and be a prognosticator? I think there will be a couple of upsets but I want to wait and see the final seeding first.

How is Upperman down a player? Someone hurt or sick? 

Good call on the York/CM game Turnip...looked like a ugly low scoring game.

Look at their schedule and results...a bunch of close losses and several of them in district.

Well, I think the district plays out how just how it looks in your list UTRock...i don't see it changing much except I think LA and York could be interchanging.
