  1. Honestly don't know about a kid from Brentwood. All the kids I see on the box scores were all 8th grade and freshman when I was in Lebanon So he must not play that big of a role. But as I said I don't know the situation you're referring to… Regardless…

As far as ur argument goes. Watertown Doesn't have to play against the other three high schools in the county. Like they do you. So those Norene/Watertown kids would go to your school and we have to play them. (Any school that accepts kids from another zone shouldn't have to play against that school, it just creates too much turmoil)If they leave to go to Central which has happened that I'm aware of hated to lose him but at least we don't have to face them. There is no arguing with you people. Which is actually the route cause of all of it... you just think you're better than everybody else! As I said we are done with you ... I guess until you get up there with the big dogs and can't hang, and your "mission" changes again ...have fun in D2.

Sounds like someone thinks that they should be the head of the TSSAA. why dont you let them do their job and you do yours. and unless you are in the TSSAA then it is not your job to determine whats fair or not. so why dont you keep to talking about the games cause i'm about tired of hearing the 4 year old yell "but thats not fair"

  2. Classic...0-forever vs whs this year and whs was humbled?

ANY team with hand picked players is going to be talented. Maybe cleve just gave the kid from his former team that came with him a heart check after they got stomped by close to half-a-hundred just saying.

Perspective...couple more games and y'all can focus on baseball. With this record looks like you have been focused on it since November.

Hand picked players? Wow you guys really dont have anything against us besides being a private school. I played there and I promise you I wasnt hand picked or given a scholarship or any crap like that. If you think they are all hand picked then go look at how long those players have been in school there.

  3. Region 3 is bad bad bad bad this year. Only two teams I would even consider decent. Single A as a whole is down this year though. Heck, the only reason I picked two Region 4 teams is because all they have to do is beat CSAS and Boyd Bucs.

I can see your point. but i wouldnt be surprised to see the winner of region 3 to win the substate game also. Home court advantage can help a lot in substate when the other team has to travel up to 2 hours

  4. They won by 9, so you can relax. 0-31 RBS gave them all they could handle. FCS's bigs getting easy offensive rebounds is why they ended up winning. Good game, glad I stayed to watch it.

glad to hear it. you had me nervous for a minute there Bob.

  5. Watertown High School has 2 that could be worthy point guard Macieo Gaines and Guard Ty Jobe. Gaines avg.13pts 8rbs 4asst and 4 steals a game. and Jobe avg 16pts 9rbs 3 asst 4 steals a game. They have lead the team to a 19-3 record and ranked 7th in the state in the latest AP poll. both have great grades and are great character kids.

haha sorry man but these just aren't Mr. Basketball type numbers at all. Go look at the stats of Fountain and D. Spears and then compare. the team has done good this year but its team ball that they are playing without 1 person leading the team. that will typically lead to a team with no players on the Mr. Basketball list. Just look at FC from last year. 28-3 and the State Champions but not a one of their players was even considered to be on the Mr. Basketball ballot

  6. A.Wartburg,Cloudland,Watertown, Clay Co.,Richland,Mt.Pleasant, UC,BTW

I'm not sure i see Watertown getting in. I think the winner of Region 3 will take them out if they make it to substate cause i agree that Clay will probably win Region 4 and go on to state. Watertown will have a good chance to go to the substate game as long as they do not choke it away in the second round of region like they did against Clarkrange last year. Best of luck to all teams

  7. I have really held back from saying anything on this forum, with regards to Watertown's record or schedule, but, since it has been discussed in such detail I will give my two cents. First off, I believe that Coach Bradshaw is a fine coach and understands the game of basketball. His teams have always played solid defense, which is the key to any team winning consistently. But, it is no secret that Watertown's schedule is weak and has been weak for the past 3 years. I never thought the schedules were very tough when he coached at FC, which I believed reared its head at the end of each season. I am a big believer in "iron sharpens iron," and a tough schedule is going to prepare any team physically and mentally in tough games. Now, I don't believe that every game should be tough because you can beat down your team, but playing 5-6 tough programs a year will only make you better. The Tigers have succeeded this season, but they have beaten 3 teams with a winning record and got ran out of the gym by the only team that I would consider good. More than likely they won't be prepared during that elimination game when it gets tight at the end. Reason, they haven't been in that type of situation all season and I witnessed it year after year at FC. Of course, I could be proven wrong and if so, then more power to the Tigers. But, it would be the first time that approach had been successful for Watertown. Please understand that this is not a knock on Coach Bradshaw because, like I said earlier, I believe he is a good coach, and every coach has to do what they believe will give their team the best chance at being successful. I just have a different opinion of how you get your team ready for the playoffs/tournaments.

I agree that your "iron sharpens iron" does help toughen a team. and i will agree that Bradshaw is a very good coach but does not necessarily believe in this "iron sharpens iron" metaphor. I feel that if he did his teams may be more prepared for a tough region championship and/or substate game. If the schedule is weak then your record doesnt really matter to me. Regardless of how strong or weak the schedule is, I think the way to tell how good a team is, is to look at the last game they won that year. just take BTW from last year. Great record but didnt make it out of the first round. so what good does the number of wins do you? the answer is no good as long as you win once you get to elimination games.

  8. Here's something to research in regard to Watertown. How many teams on their schedule have winning records?

The FC teams mentioned by Alumnist were more talented than last yrs state champs but hadn't played enough quality competition in the regular season cause someone doing the scheduling wanted to post "W's" rather than wear rings. I'm sure Watertown fans will be satisfied with district titles and a couple of W's over FC, however it will be interesting to see how their schedule impacts their post season.

After looking at Watertowns schedule as it is posted on coach t, and the success of those teams so far, they have played 3 games against teams with winning records and winning two of these games with an above .500 record.

To show both stats, FC has played 6 games against teams with winning records (although i think the FRA game is missing from the schedule on coach t and Evangel Christian record is unknown) also winning 2 of their games against these above .500 teams

Watertown cant say there isnt room on the schedule to play teams with better records because FC has done it and has played 5 less games than H2O.

  9. Your thinking of the 06-07 team and 08-09 team and I also think they were more talented then the team last year, and I don't even think it's close

You are correct. I was off by a year. and I agree that it wouldnt even be close. Those teams would have killed the team from last year. Too bad the coach was only worried about posting 20 win seasons. Not to mention the teams that Ben Crocket played on. Those teams are automatically prestiged because of the deep outside threat that he purposed to the defense at any given time. I respect those teams so much and often wonder, how in the world did these teams not get into the state tournament.

  10. I don't know man. I see a TON of similar things between last years FC team and this years W'town team. Last year FC finished the regular season 20-2 (less games due to Football playoffs). W'town will finish this regular season at 23-3. Last years FC margins of victory are similar to this years W'town margins of victory against the same teams. On the other hand the first time FC and W'town played this year W'town only won that by 10 points which if I was W'town I would find out why that happened and fix it before the REAL games start. They fixed it for the second FC game for sure but the loss to Pickett and Eagleville are scary 'cause neither of them are any good or even have a winning season.

I see your point in margin of victory inside the district and region games but if they cant win the substate game, which historically bradshaw hasnt been able to pull out in, then they wont be going to the glass house. It's nothing against Bradshaw as a coach, its just the way his record is. In the span of 06-10 FC lost the substate games (home and away) that they made it to even when they had tremendous talent on the teams these were very close games and they just couldnt pull it out in the end of the game. In my opinion the 2010 (Parker Teeter, Maasen, Sorrels, Wilson, and Hill) and the 2008, i believe (Michael Teeter, John Hatcher, John Doak, and company) teams were better than the 2012 team and bradshaw couldnt pull them out of the substate games. Not taking anything away from him as a coach, just putting my thoughts out there

  11. i only own green sweatervests. maybe i should wear that to the boro if they can get there. but lets be realistic here, bradshaw coached better teams at FC, i.e. 2007-2008, and 2009-2010 (both teams had phenomenal talent) and couldnt make it past substate. many think it could be because of the weaker regular season schedule he played so the players were not used to close games against good teams so they didnt know how to handle the pressure. dont get me wrong, if bradshaw and watertown win it i will congratulate them and respect the gold ball just as i'm sure they do ours but i dont quite believe yet that they can do it

  12. Hey! It's all in fun! I have enjoyed CoachT battling back and forth. It's entertainment. One final note: I love a good battle on the field and on the court. If W'town gets to the 'Boro I will be there cheering them on. (But I 'aint wearin' purple!).

If they make it to the boro then i may go to see the game but i aint wearin no ugly purple either

  13. When are you boys going to learn that I'm just trying to get you stirred up and have a little fun for the most part. FC is a wonderful school and if I lived in that area I would say that is probably where my boys would have attended. Its good to have a heated debate every now and then. I think its great how you fellas get on here and defend your school, it shows you are proud of where you come from and there is nothing wrong with that at all. I hate showing my soft side lol. Y'all have a nice day

You have a nice day too good sir. Glad to hear you respect the school more than you normally say you do lol

  14. I was stating facts and all you have to do is read the prior posts. I expect nothing less from you as all you do is take up for FC so your posts have no merit. So do us all a favor and stay off the message board's unless you have something worth talking about. We are all tired of your ridiculous posts.

If you are going to point out the posts that are in your opinion good posts by those from every school but FC then give some credit to the people at FC who are saying the exact same thing that you are arguing with. When you dont then it makes it look like the only thing you are on here for is to argue with us FC posters

  15. i dont understand why this guy thinks that bradshaw should get credit for building the FC state team. did some of those guys play for bradshaw? yes they did. but if you give him credit for the work at FC 2 years after he has left then shouldnt the former Watertown coach (dont know his name) get credit for what he built 2 years after he has left? no he shouldnt. Bradshaw coached that team for the past 2 years and is on his 3rd just as Coach Cleve is. You can't try to give credit to Bradshaw for the success of 2 programs at the same time. that just doesnt make any sense. give credit where credit is due to all of these coaches and any other coach across the state, but dont give the credit of the success of one team to a coach who has been at a different school for 2 years. if it were true that FC won the state because of Bradshaw then i'm sure FC would be jumpin at hiring him back right now but thats just not how it is. He may have shaped them as players but so did their Jr High and PeeWee coaches. should we give those coaches credit for the win too? no we shouldnt thats just stupid. All of these coaches have done a great job teaching these kids the great game of basketball but fact of the matter is that Cleve and his coaching staff from that year (has changed now) took them to the state and won it. not Bradshaw. End of Story.

  16. to respond to the absurd question if FC will make it to the region tournement, yes they will. I know FC is having a down year, there is no denying that. but the top 4 of 5 make it and I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the so far winless RBS will be the team left out from the district 8 side again.

    my prediction would be

    1. Watertown

    2. Trousdale County

    3. Gordonsville

    4. Friendship Christian

    5. Red Boiling Springs

I'd love for FC to be higher but im not sure if it will happen

  17. Commodeboy Youre an idiot. What a poor excuse for a human being you are. JC is obviously not a contender in football and never has been I was speaking in general you moron. I promise you if FC didnt recruit illegally they wouldnt be either. They never were relevent until the recruiting started. If I had to guess youre in your bedroom at mommy an daddys house playing a video game. Youre another fine example of what the so called christian school puts out.

He is a poor excuse for a human being? You are from JC, so thats obviously the most hypocrytical statement I've seen thus far.

And if you want to say that a majority of FC's graduates are living under their parents roof still and not either off at college or living on their own then you are badly mistaken. Last year's graduating class had one individual not enrolled in a University or College of some sort and he had intentions in the Coast Guard I believe. If you want to mock the Coast Guard or a college kid then go ahead. At least the FC graduates can actually make it through college. We wont end up out on the farm somewhere unless thats where we want to be. You sir (if you even deserve that title) need to really check the stuff you are saying before you say it because most of it right now is making you sound like a complete idiot.

  18. There's a difference between saying "don't be stupid" and "you are stupid" and I highly doubt that any professional would come out and directly say that to a kid. I'm betting it was more along the lines of the first example that I just gave. That type of stuff is said daily.

Well i'm not sure anything was caught on video but it was definitly past the lines of "you're being stupid." Like i said, don't argue on a subject with people who know what happened if you dont know what happened.
