MHS dosent play a straightup zone its a one three one matchup holding the ball for four minutes no big deal happens all the time in high school the bogus call at the end of the half over a loose ball was terrible.That short black ref called eleven fouls on mcewen and one onFCS the whole game.FCSgameplan on mcewen point guard very good doubble and tripple teamed the whole game he should have passed out of those situations.42 our best rebounder and post player on the bench with foul troubble for too long in this game thanks to the officials especially one.When he did come back to start the fourth quarter he put his team on his back and gave us a chance to win but fell short by three points I watched several games this week and the officiating for this magnitude of tournament was pitiful especialy the class A games .With all the money TSSAA took in they need to use some for work shops for refs our jr high league has better officiating. At the start of the fourth quarter the fouls were so lopsided it was pitiful I believe 9-2 in favor of FCS. McEwen wins this game 9 times out of 10 so consider yourselfs lucky on this game must have been politics. McEwen didnt play their best ball last night had too many turnovers and didnt shoot well from beyond the three point line.Played the same tough defense as usual until fourth quarter but their best two defenders were on the bench with foul trouble.Cloudland never gave up and gave themselfs a chance in the end but those thirty points in the fourth they scored would have been cut in half if our starters had been on the floor as evindent in the first three quarters.Keys to win tonight play the same tough nosed defense cut down on turnovers stay out of foul trouble and need a big night from 32 Hooper.Good luck Warriors.

I watched Rhodes play in the 70s great player a more complete player than Cannon is sorry Cannon. That was back in the day and PC fans should be proud of their championships but that doesnt guarntee a gold ball this year. McEwen plays in a larger district and region D-12 only has six teams makes it easier to play other schools.We would like to play some of thoes bad #### west tn. schools I keep reading about on here,but due to fule prices and our girls coach not wanting to beef up the scheldue we got stuck playing summertown and parsons riverside at the christmas classic in Santa Fe.

The center for McEwen is Patrick Mullinicks not Garrett.He is 6'4 has great footwork and can play any position on the court.Avg. 16 pts. during the season doubbles on the boards and playing well during tourney time.Garret and Patrick are a great one two punch.

Ibought my grandson of 2 years old a small goal and ball that you set up in the house he loves it. Every time he comes over all he wants to do shoot basketball. I done the same for both of my sons one is a senior the other is in the 7th grade.This helps develop good hand eye corridnation,and is fun for everyone.The bottom line is how hard do you want to work to achieve your goal.When your son hits JR. high you will know what his best sport is encourage him but dont pressure him let him make his own decisons.ps. both my boys are very good football and basketball players but it comes from the work they put into it.
