  1. I got a report from my brother how big and physical they were against Lake Co. and Bolivar in a 3 way scrimmage which they won. Tonight they whipped Hardin County. JCM smacked USJ around tonight in a scrimmage that finished 5-2 JCM
  2. I think JCM spoil the new stadium celebration for the Trojans. JCM not only win this game but their District. JCM Liberty Ripley Covington J. Northside Haywood
  3. Any predictions on the season opener for these two programs?
  4. Don't have the answer, maybe he should sit down with Donovan Stewart and find out how it's done. I'm pretty sure Donovan use the same resources but far better believable results. It seems as though these coaches are operating on the "buddy" system and voting for each other by region association.
  5. Donovan Stewart is the best at what he does. Far better than Murphy Fair, his book this year was less than impressive.
  6. I'm not really talking about the State polls as opposed to his district rankings. There were several suspect predictions, not just in 15AA BigPurpleMachine. I just feel like Donovan Stewart of The Examiner did an excellent job and his predictions were up to date. Murphy had players listed from our teams that didn't play Spring ball nor even on the roster this year listed. So you gonna tell me he did research. He basically did what most do and that is go with what past laurels, like picking traditional favorites and those East and Middle Tn guys. My opinion, just saying. Maybe BigPurpleMachine can help out and report some, I see you post about 20 times a day, you missed your calling as a sports writer....LOL!!!!!
  7. Got mad respect for Murphy, but these rankings and All-Atate teams are a joke. The Examiner have better inside and coverage of this year's teams. Sorry, Murphy you must do a little more research before you print. You must do a better job in researching West Tn.
  8. No problem, would love to. This game will happen if Milan hold up and make it. LOL
  9. Nothing personal, BIGPURPLEMACHINE, I just don't like for kids to be labeled wrong. Nothing against you, I respect that you post all over the board with great commentary at times. Just looking out for the kids at the J. Not insults just facts that have seen over the years.
  10. I think sometimes we treat the programs like college programs. Folks, these are high school kids playing high school football. Every program have rules, I get that, but let's not get so caught up in the macho . Most of the kids won't play college football, so stop trying to be college coaches, be a high school coach for high school football players. Not let a kid play because he goes on vacation with his family, that's crazy. What if that was the only time his father could get vacation at work? If you are running your program right, FAMILY should be at least number 2 on the list behind God in my opinion. Just my opinion, not trying to start a religious debate.
  11. Once again, I know you said JCM will be talented, which is a total insult. When someone makes a statement like that it usually mean they are fast and talented but have no teamwork or coaching, which is totally untrue about this group( I see statements like this about Fayette Ware-big difference). I question your knowledge of the teams in this district by saying Covington and Northside as stout teams this year, did you know both were depleted of their senior class. It's a shame that some teams from inter-city or not so nice neighborhoods can only just be called "talented". Don't forget this is a team that has Terrance Kinnie, Rodney Clark, Jr, Kris Todd and many, many others ready to go. Check this link about the real JCM team this year.
  12. Not even close, Crockett blows by everyone this year. Milan will be hoping tradition can pull them through, NOT!!! No one will fear Milan this year, 3rd place. Westview is solid and will take 2nd, while Crockett won't suffer a district loss and win 1st. Dyersburg will get down early win they lose to JCM and Haywood to start the season 0-2 in games at their new turf stadium. You heard it here first, just saying.
  13. Things aren't quite like it normally is at Liberty, despite what you read in newspapers and see in the polls. They lost their entire starting backfield along with top defensive player, Tyler Taylor. They will be well coached but that may not be enough. Having a brutal schedule in early games is going to hurt, because district schedule on second half of season will be even more brutal this year. Jackson Northside, Ripley, Haywood, Covington and probably district favorite JCM, will probably mean at best a 5-5 season for the Crusaders.
  14. No disrespect at all to Middle and East Tennessee teams, but I am tired of only seeing most of the write-ups and player recognition about these guys. True, they have won most of the state championships, but also most of those players "fizzle out" when they hit DI if they even get there. West Tennessee gets left out too much, we do play football over here and have great players.
  15. This is probably going to be the best high school facility in the state once completed. It's going to be nice to be the first team to play on the turf, when the JCM Cougars come to town for the first game. Oh yeah, you do have a game to play.
  16. Once again, not the same JCM. We have very good coaches that realize we have to get physical and mean up front. O-line coach from last year is Head Coach at Lake County, different attitude nowadays at the J. This is fun to talk on here, but trust me I realize a game has never been won on paper. That's why we get on the bus each week and battle. Not a rookie over here, trust me. Is that has happened to Milan the last few times they went to the Championship game, they got hit in the mouth and fell. It's time for someone else to go and take care of business for West Tn. You guys have a great program but you have become the Buffalo Bills of high school football, just saying. P.S. seriously, Charmaine soft, great bulletin board motivative comments, thanks.
  17. I'm not talking about playing in the playoffs, JCM plays Dyersburg first game of the season.
  18. Please read my quote again....our run game is our strength, with one of the top running backs in the State. Dyerburg will be expecting a celebration with their new turf field, but you are going to have to play JCM....hmmmmm might be a problem.
  19. JCM proved Saturday in the 7 on 7 tournament at Obion, pure dominance and loads of talent, with quality coaching. Noone will be able to stop them when they take to the air, and we aren't even talking about a top rated running attack , lead by All West, 2 star rated RB Rodney Clark, Jr. I saw the level they were on last year as well, my expertise in this area tells me this team is definitely a top tier team and easily may represent the West in 3A come State title time. You heard it here first!!!
  20. The JCM Cougars went Troy, Tn and dominated the competition to win the 7 on 7 competition today. Congrats to the Cougars!!!! Other teams that were there: Brighton, Dyer Co., Graves County(Ky)', Obion Co., Hayti(Mo) a couple of others.
  21. Just having a little fun. Hey, you guys had one heckuva year last year!!! Good luck to Cardinal Nation this year.
