Sullivan East is going to go from 0-10 (2010) to 7-4 (2011) back to 0-10 (2012). That is much more of a collapse than anything at Valley. I wonder if there's any heat on that coach.

I'll be honest with you, Warrior, I don't know any current or past players. You're probably right; we are just going in circles on this. I don't mind talking to you though. I haven't seen either team play yet this year, but I watched East last year. They were LOADED... Probably the best RB I saw all year not wearing a Green Devil uniform. I'd really like to know what's happening there right now. Have you seen East- if so, how do you think the match up looks? Let's talk a little football for a change. For the record, LSU's playbook is written in crayon (I kid, I kid)

Go through and read my past posts, Momma Drama, I'm not the object of your hate. I mostly stick to the Greene County / Morristown side of things but I've been trying to know more about the NE corner. I've been on the T awhile unlike you. You talk like a mother of a player who has either quit or is not playing "enough". Trust me- it doesn't take a genius to spot one. I could tell you why I think that, but no use in getting personal and hurting feelings. If I cared as much as you guys claim to do, I'd be spending time with the Director of School, Athletic Director, and the principal instead of posting on here. But then again, then you'd actually have to sign your real name. I've posted on many threads that involve coach bashing from across the state because most folks who do it are bitter and/ or clueless. I've asked for facts WITH credible sources and it's been a mixed result at best. Truth is truth.

In addition, Warrior, since when does having sibblings that attend a school qualify anyone to diagnose the problem with the school's football team. My mom went through Virgina High's school system all the way through; does that mean she can speak on their football troubles?? (I still love you though Ma!) Did you actually play football at Happy Valley? Have you ever coached any officially school sanctioned sport? In other words, what credibility do you have to attack a coach other than what 15 year olds on a bad team say and the fact you and your family went to school there?

I'm pretty sure blaming the coach for everything is an "excuse" too. Les Miles may be the most unintelligent head coach in D1 history-- But LSU is always loaded with talent that makes things happen despite the coach's play calling or schemes. (Seriously, they run a pop warner offense). I wouldn't say that you're "shooting down" my points; I wouldn't even say I'm proving mine-- I've said from the very beginning that I don't know much about the school or coach-- but it takes a lot more to tank a season that just one coach (especially one with a recent history of success).

Warrior, you better be a teacher or a coach to have talked to 5-6 years worth of HV players on a regular basis. Otherwise that's just plain creepy. It's funny how all of these people weren't calling for his head after his first year-- not a peep. I'm curious to hear your answer to SGHS's question because I don't know it either. You graduated some good players and had some key returners transfer-- that should've been a hint that it wasn't going to be a strong year. SGHS, as far as I know no one is questioning Jones at this point because of exactly what you said. I honestly think the Rebs overachieved by beating the Huskies (meant as a compliment). Bobby, don't just take a shot and run off if you want to actually be taken seriously on this site. You better be able to back up your opinion. At least Warrior and HV7 are trying.

Overbay wasted talent? To my knowledge Science Hill's defense was the best thing it had going under the previous staff and he was the DC. Sounds like you have a major ax to grind with anything Science Hill related. I know I wouldn't mind having Overbay on the staff of my team. And you mean to tell me that you KNOW that a head coach and team have NEVER watched film? How in the world do you even know that? That's a pretty ridiculous thing to say unless you were on his staff or team.

Awful news about Lisa, but when you have two bruisers like yall do that's a full time job in itself. We both better watch 'em play as much as we can now because they'll be out of our doors before you know it. Never regret spending time with the ankle biters. By the way, I still have that yo-yo from the Pulaski trip if Sam gets to yapping HAHA. I just can't see Gap outgunning Doak by 20. Not with Mallone back there lurking. I hope he gets to play more defense honestly. I'll say Doak by 3 in a nailbiter.

Glad to see you've finally taken my advice and joined up (instead of just creep reading like a coward J/K). My oldest has taken to volleyball, which has me jumping around every middle school gym in the state. How's Lisa? And the mother-in-law is doing much better buddy thanks for asking. Thoughts on any games coming up?

What is the backstory behind this "talent conquers all" phrase? Warrior are you a former player? Who would you like to see run the program and why?

I'll agree that Malone has been their best offensive weapon for the last two years. I'm with you on the "hard to stop" part too because prepared teams have been able to derail their attack. I do think that this is the best defense they've had over the last 3 years, even if it's not saying much. Alexander is a solid 3A middle linebacker in this area.

I'm fairly sure that there were coach(es) before Witten but after Rider.

No arguing against Witten and Elizabethton's success. And then obviously those camps do not interfere with his practices. Just out of curiosity, what was it like before he took over?

At least we know the credibility of dirty deeds now... Mother of a former HV player. Any coach would have a major problem with a kid having personal trainer or going to camps IF it took away from the team's workouts or practices. I'm guessing you're calling me out instead of BigPoppa, seeing as how he agrees with you.

I'm all for enlightenment, Big Poppa. I only know what I've read and it sounds like a whole lot of sour grapes and speculation. I'm not from your area, but I've seen this kind of stuff before. I'll be objective and honest: this all reads like it's coming from bitter parents with personal agendas. You've criticized this coach for telling his players who he should or shouldn't hang out with, but I bet you'd also claim "He doesn't care" if he said nothing about it. If you KNOW more about it, than SAY more. Otherwise I think my opinion is as good as what anyone else has thrown out.

I'll be the first to admit that I don't know the inner workings of many teams outside of the Greene County umbrella, but something here just doesn't seem right. It's never fair to say that a coach was winning with 'another coach's kids' because he's the one making the calls, running the practices, etc. Those kids who made the playoff run didn't seem to have a problem with his attitude or decision-making. Also, when did David Crockett have a turnaround? I'm not throwing off on them, but they've only beat the worst teams East and South Greene have had in a long time. That's not exactly a turnaround for a huge 5A school. People are too quick to judge coaches these days and rarely hold kids accountable to their own performances. Time will tell though for all involved. Best of luck, Warriors.
