  1. I agree. Mt. Juliet's facilities are top-notch.
  2. Apple to oranges makes no difference. You know football and you know "facts"; that's all that matters on here!!
  3. Love the quote. Now, I need to figure out how to do it!
  4. Hey Bud! Not upset at all. Actually, I have read that article too. I don't doubt that the ideal RB has a smaller and bulkier frame, but my only argument on here was could he or would he play RB at the next level. Others think he won't, but I certainly believe that he will run the ball AND receive in college. If he is fortunate enough to ever make it farther than that, then it will solely depend on his performance in college on where he will end up at that level.
  5. Another big congrats as Mr. Hurd was on the cover of the Tennessean today amongst some very influential people. Go Bucs!
  6. I just might one day! I'll get you one too!
  7. Oh, and congratulations to Mr. Hurd on his commitment to play in the 2014 US Army All-American Bowl next year. Be he runs the ball too!
  8. You've been more than spiteful by running Hurds ability in the ground every single time anyone mentions him on these threads. You have been nothing but condescending anytime that you've had a chance to be. As far as Henry, he is great and I wish him well. He has been a starter since he was a freshman, and I commend his efforts and for setting the new record. But I'm sure that you believe he won't be running the ball at the next level too, right? I follow Hurd as I am a fan, and if you're Bar's dad, then I am sure that you're following him too (on multiple boards). It really doesn't matter. Continue to have your opinion, and you'll continue to get proven wrong as you have thus far.
  9. I am very well aware of what position Thompson coaches, but for someone who thinks he knows something, it shows that you don't know squat. Lance Thompson is the recruiter for this area and is recruiting Hurd. I am a JH fan, and I will continue to be. I come on these boards and discuss my team and players that I am interested in. Yet, I would never berate a child and his abilities like yourself. How would it make you feel if someone started a thread about Alex Bars and discussed what a 3rd rate lineman he was or how he's too much of a sissy to do anything effective the next level. That would be pretty sh*tty and uncalled for, wouldn't it?
  10. Well, I see that you're still talking trash. Hey, you never answered my question before... Aren't you Joe Bars? The father of Alex Bars from MBA? Back to your douche bag post.... All football players are one injury away from not playing anymore. So, while I know you're wishing nothing but destruction on this child (case in point, all of your condescending posts ALL year), why don't you just let the kid play football and continue to dominate the way he has all year. He'll continue to be great, and you'll continue to swing from his n*uts and talk about what a terrible running back he is. Oh, and just for the record (as I really wanted to know this and asked his "mother" myself), Nick Saban told Hurd in his office that he could play any position that he wanted. The only member of Bama's staff that ever made mention of Hurd playing defense was Lance Thompson (and how "he" would like him at safety). It was never Nick Saban.
  11. Trust me, I know the family a lot better than you, and they actually think that all of this is quite amusing. We all have laughed at you many times (and especially the fact that you think their son wont run the ball at the the next level). Asked his mom if she knew any Notre Dame grads, and she said the only one that she knew was Joe Bars (who has had children that went to school with Hurd before). So, unless you're Joe Bars, then she must not know you. Are you Joe Bars? With the kid over at MBA right now?
  12. Great post. Here is why (although I feel like I've stated this a million times) I feel like Hurd will succeed at the next level. Anyone who has seen him perform consistently has had to notice how small that he makes himself when he runs up the middle between the tackles. He is a large target (obviously), but he has exceptional pad level, footwork and balance for someone with his frame. He is a north south runner, doesn't try to do anything fancy, just gets the job done whether its breaking long runs with blazing speed or chipping away at first downs with endurance, patience and strength. If he wasn't as fluid as he is at his size, I would say that he would be a WR or TE all day on the offensive side of the ball. I do, however, see a very rare skillset that you don't see that often on players that tall, and that's why I fully believe that he will succeed at that position in college.
  13. Hahaha, no moderator needed, I promise. Dude is just twacked out on a whole different level. Anyway, yes, I agree it will be a blow out. I wish that it wouldn't be, but it will. BUT if the high and mighty NotreDame66 suits up for the Irish, maybe - just maybe - they'll have a chance to win!! Bet he'll be a running back! Hahahahaha!!
  14. Just another "Tool" (like yourself) that claims that Hurd cannot play RB at the next level. Of course that post was made in September before this football season had barely begun. If you really want to be a super detective, look at what everyone is writing NOW! Who do they want as their RB now? As a matter of fact, every UT fan on that board is commenting on how Hurd if a must get and how they want him running the ball. Once AGAIN, you have made a ridiculous post on how Jalen Hurd will not be a RB in college. I really do not mean this disrespectfully, but you seriously have some issues to continually try and prove a point that holds absolutely no validity right now. Jalen Hurd is the best running back that has ever run the ball in TN (my opinion, but may largely be agreed upon), and you still (in all your desperation) try to argue that he will, in no way, do this in college. I love to banter (like anyone else on here), but you're on a whole new level of crazy. You may seriously want to seek therapy for this.
  15. Thanks for the stats. Looks good for Hurd. More size, speed, and agility and he promises to be something very special on the next level!
  16. It's so funny that you think that you know something. Nick Saban told him in his office that he could run the ball for them if that's what he chose to do. One of the recruiters from AL (Lance Thompson) said that Jalenlooked like an NFL safety. Irregardless, I am going to continue my love fest because I believe that he is worthy of it, and you can continue to hate like you've always done. It's okay though, his haters make him famous.
  17. Unlike yourself, I have never written anything condescending about this young man. Whereas, every single time that there is a thread and someone mentions Hurd, you immediately chime in on why he won't succeed at the next level as a RB. Stating your opinion once would be one thing, yet you feel the need to continually discredit his ability every single time that someone mentions the kids name. If you took a moment and reflected on how many times you've stated this, then you would understand why myself and others think that you're continually bashing the kid. At the end of the day, I wish for his success in anything that he attempts to do (including playing RB). Too bad we all don't support our players like that. And please stop writing posts on how you've tried to build him up and how you're a fan. No one would write as negatively about a player as you have throughout this entire season if they supported and encouraged his efforts.
  18. Hahahaha! Grow up, you old silly man. Go run around your track and pimp slap the air when you get done. I'll just keep watching Hurd (the real athlete). Hahahaha. This guy is hilarious!
  19. Agreed. This guy is just ridiculous and apparently has some kind of personal vendetta against a 16 year old child as ALL that he has done all season is discuss how our state's best RB will not perform at the next level.
  20. You may have graduated from ND, but you most certainly have never learned class. You're old, tired and washed up. You never amounted to anything on the football field, so you feel the need to belittle a child and his dreams. I'm quite certain that Hurd and his family understand how quickly football can end at any given time, and are making certain that he succeeds in the classroom as well. You must know very little about this young man and his family to assume otherwise. He is advanced academically, and will be graduating early next year too. His goals are to be a successful young man at anything he puts his mind and will to. Your only goal on this thread is to continually cut him down and try to make him to be an inferior RB at the next level; and then you have the nerve to discuss what someone's goals and intentions should be. Just so you know (if you haven't figured it out otherwise), you look like a jerk. Now, go and gently remove your Tampax and cry to someone else who actually cares about what you write.
  21. Fact is Hurd wants to play early and won't sit behind a stable of horses at any school. Another fact is Hurd will be as good (if not better) than any RB in college - including Yeldon. Unlike yourself, I've known Jalen his entire life and have supported him since he was young. You can perpetrate like you know something all day. Fact is, you don't and you won't. And if you're lucky, maybe he'll let you clean his jock strap when he's making millions one day running - the - football!
  22. I wouldn't even waste your time, Doppelganger. He actually believes that he knows something about Jalen's recruiting (like this guy was on the phone personally with Les Miles a couple of weeks ago). The top 2 RB's (Fournette & Hurd) in the nation for the class of 2014 - per 247 - have both been offered by LSU. Miles wants them (both over 6'2) running the ball. Period. After all the broken records (13 records), after leading his team to 15-0, after winning a state championship, after winning Mr. Football, you still have some clown saying he's not good enough. And did I mention that he's only a junior. Hahaha. Mark "my" words. Not only will he run the ball at the school of his choosing, there's a great chance, he'll be running it on Sundays too. Most adults congratulate the extraordinary efforts of a 16 year old child, and this guy continually degrades Hurd's. Sad old man with Jalen envy. Hahaha Hey dude, "Go Hurd or Go Home"! Hahaha
  23. LSU is recruiting him as a RB. One more time... A Running back! Just like the other 6'2 top 2014 RB - Leonard Fournette. Lets see.... Top 2 RB's in the nation for 2014 and one is 6'2 and the other is 6'3. But according to you and your infinite wisdom, I suppose neither one will run the ball in college, huh? I'm glad that you have an opinion, but you know very little concerning Hurd. I may carry his backpack, but at least I'm not swinging from his n*ts! You've got that one covered. Gotta love the haters!
  24. Bama recruited him after his sophomore season, and the only thing that they had to go by was his sophomore highlights. He did as much receiving as he did running on that film. They knew he was a good athlete, but I don't believe they knew the caliber of RB he was, and that's their error. Bama has a deep RB roster, so vying for playing time there wouldn't be the best move anyway. My question is how is 6'2 / 216 pound TJ Yeldon so much more of a RB than 6'3 / 220 pound Hurd? He managed to run a whopping 2200 yards his senior year in high school, and Hurd finished with over 3300 his junior year.
  25. Hurd had been dead legged a week prior to the Wilson Central game. He had trouble walking on it and probably shouldn't have tried to play on it, but irregardless he did, and probably learned a valuable lesson by doing so. He lost his ability to cut back, and as you wrote "didn't make good decisions". Curious if you ever caught any other game this last year? What will Beech be like next year? IMO pretty dang good. Hurd feels that they will be just as good as this past year. They lost a lot last year (especially the line), and others stepped up and filled those spots quite nicely. Our skill players are set, line will be somewhat inexperienced but good sized, and the only position that I see that we will be lacking is the kicker (although I may be wrong and may indeed have someone to fill those shoes). What will Hurd do as a senior? Probably any darn thing he wants to. Knowing the kid and his work ethic, I see a lot of potential for improvement. I know very few kids that train at school, go to football practice, and then spend time with their trainer at the gym everyday after school. He will share carries with Carter, and they will be very difficult to contain. Jalen has now gotten Carter and Campbell (fullback) working with his trainer daily too. What will Hurd play in college? Everyone, including the pessimistic NotreDame66, will watch him run the ball on TV on Saturdays. This has nothing to do with what I think he is going to do. This is what he knows that he is going to do. If you knew him, then you would understand that he wants to be the best. Not the best player, but the best RB.
