    9AAA

Holy, by goally... did you not see the 9AAA thread working you DA, get your head out and start one for whatever you think is going on in Rutherford Cty. 9AAA baby, get with it! If you have a take (as Romey would say) at least don't su#$ at it.
  2. Pretty sure from reports, you didn't see their #1A or 1B.
  3. Please don't give Alabama credit for having a plan we need. And that seems like alot of teams for postseason... how does that compare with TN from region to sectional to substate to state. Back to the 2 out of 3 series sets you up for more expense and travel. Add a division (AAAA), break up the privates that pay, finance, or recruit, then extend State tourney 1 day for better crowd and better team with chance to win. That way, some of the little sisters that want to play with the big boys may find out it was better to stay where they were. Seems simple enough without overhauling system, yet way too hard for powers at T$$AA.
  4. Just consider your original source, lots of venting from that side... pressure series this week for them. Hope to see at least one of those games. Should be worth the $5.

Any news out on any 9AAA signings? Other than Smith (MJ) going to Vandy and somebody from G to CB, haven't heard much... anything on SC player to Cumberland?

Nice, way to keep the fun in it. "A little short", LOL.
  7. Touchy are we, don't see anything in that post from haebvol running off at the mouth. It's quite typical for this to occur, sort of like "little man syndrome". He just defended SC schedule and I agree. Like in NCAA, how does padding schedules make you better. No offense, but alot of A and AA teams can compete and win at the AAA level. I've seen some this year that could... also a few AAA that would be better served to drop down.
  8. Still haven't heard toots from the Admirals... guess finishing 2nd don't suit them too well. Heard it was a good weekend for 9AAA. Too bad for the Ohio team, come down 4-1, go home 4-5.
  9. Only matters if mommy's happy. He can play, remember it's A ball.
  10. Seen him play before also, great that he's improved on his body fat. Just be aware, you might have a mommy driveby on this topic. She had him signed with the Braves at 12.
  11. What happened to all this great pitching for JC? Doesn't appear to have held runs down past weekend. With that kind of gas, should blowing teams away.
  12. Sounds like a good weekend at the Demarini Classic hosted by Farragut. Overall good competition. Some questions came around from a couple parents attending. Not all scores making it to the web-site and how teams seeded out of pools. One tells me Farragut was #1 seed, yet gave up more runs than D-B. What little I found on site, indicated same and Bearden (gave up 15) in but not Sevier Cty (6 runs). And for a matchup game, why put a 2-1 team vs. 0-3? Congrats to Dobyns-Bennett.
  13. Absolutely, every day is new adventure in the game. This season has been the worst for umpire mechanics and strike zones. The zone is not batters box to batters box, nor 4-6 inches off the plate, and yet a majority of games are called that way. What part of 17-19 inches and nipples to knees is not correct? Last week saw a field ump freeze up on a bang-bang at first looking right at bag, throws hands up and asks plate ump for help, who had drifted out to mound I guess to check runner at 2b. Pitcher never got foot on bag, but looked close, so these clowns come up with an out, because it was close. And on fishing, all I ever catch is a buzz.

This is typical of a program headed in the wrong direction. Fans start eating each other, way to go g wave.

Witnessed SC/Beech tonite. Beech in control all game even with Lacey for SC pitching quite well. Down 3-1, SC gets Nance on hit by pitch, sacrifice bunt, moved over on passed ball, a walk, scores 3-2 on another passed ball/wild pitch, another walk, down to last out Howell drills walkoff triple to rightcenter and wins 4-3. Don't know who pitched for Beech, but very effective as SC couldn't make adjustment until very end. How about more scores?

Sorry for your "offense"... the comment was meant more in the way outside sources continued to beat away at the Hunt program while at Gallatin (thru '10). As in over-intrusive and zealous parents not allowing staff to run a team equal to the talent there.

Let me step in on this one, as an outside observer for many years in this district, the last few have been one implosion and drama setting after another at the g. Players getting kicked off, reinstated, quitting and not even going into your staff issues lately. And IF they sneak up on SC, they'll get a big howdy-doody. So, good luck.
  18. Done with the umps on this, we've established they're knuckleheads. Not sure about def. stance, except 2b probably didn't want to take a chance of a ball getting away from him, plus the shock of a runner not sliding and right up in his arm slot. Would have rather seen him make some contact to force the issue. On the off. side, would always rather my runners slide to break up turn as opposed to taking the chance of getting one between the eyes.

Wow, any insight to what happened? I knew his grandpa, Buddy.

Would one of those be Bender, if not how's he doing?
  21. Jeez, folks get your head out... check out the site and move on... $149, no guarantee. Happy now, been to plenty of these and you shine or go home pissin and moanin. Play ball!

May very well be, but what coach lets a kid throw 240 pitches in 3 days without some sort of damage coming. When I heard this, my thoughts went to the Jones kid situation, no wonder he chose to lay out of an important district game instead of being abused by a staff that don't have a clue.
  23. Wow, there was no ball to follow, not quite sure where the misconception has occurred from original post. My point is still the call was botched on both ends, regardless of no slide, the runner clearly impeded the continuation of the double play turn at the bag. The field ump's contention of not being able to get runner at first should be grounds for at least a write-up.

Assuming Evans threw for G, who started for MJ? SC/hville proved what I thought. If the pitching, which was solid for SC and the D holds up, they'll plate a few. Took control early and big RHP dominated.

Saw them last week in Wilson Cty., size and speed for sure. If the D holds up, they could be a real factor in district. Be interesting how they test out vs. hville on Tues.
