12-4 after the first day. I lost ODU, Duke, Gonzaga, and Marquette. I didn't have any of these teams advancing to the sweet 16. How are the rest of the participants doing?

Congratulations to coach Ted Young and the Clarksville Wildcats.

Even though they are losing at the half it is nice to see two former Harpeth Indians (Josh Goodwin and Shane Dansby) on tv in the big dance playing for Belmont. How often is Pegram, TN mentioned on national television?

White House must have a pretty good team if they knocked off Hendersonville. The Lady Commandos are usually a tough team to beat.

Texas A&M was my number three seed making it to the final four as well.

The Madness has started. Let's see how our picks fare. Good luck to everyone who signed up.

From the looks of the bus yesterday, It looked like the Crusaders were given a good send-off on their way to trying to make it back to back championships.

Which 6 seed do you have in the final four?(Vanderbilt, Louisville, Duke, or Notre Dame)
My lowest is a 3 seed.

I'm in. With most of my attention being on high school basketball during the season, I may give both of you a run for last. I use to be pretty good at picking the tournament before high school sports took over priority for me. Maybe some of the old magic will come back for me.
What is the lowest seed someone has going to the final four?

I'm in.

What would be wrong with naming David Junkins as the coach? He seemed to do a good job of coaching the Harpeth High Lady Indians. Another thing is he knows the players after having worked with them this year.

Congrats to the Lady Eagles of Northeast High School on a great season.

Franklin is always a tough, hard-nosed team. In games that pit two talented teams together you have to look at home court as being an advantage. That being said I'll take the Wildcats in a close contest.

I Think they have put off the implementation of this until 08-09 year.

Sounds like it was a very exciting game. Does anyone know who the other members of the all region team were? Did anyone from Cheatham County make the team?

It is now officially softball time in District 11AA. No teams are short-handed due to basketball going on. With Cheatham County's loss in the region tournament, everyone should have thir full compliment of players. I am not sure if CCHS has any players on the basketball team, but if they do they should be at softball practice tomorrow.
Has anyone in the district played any scrimmages yet? If so, who did you play, and how did it go? The season starts 2 weeks from today.

Based on tournament results, it doesn't appear that district 12 was down at all. They were 4-1 in matchups in the region tournament against district 11.
That being said, congratulations to the Cheayham County Lady Cubs for winning 25 games in what was supposed to be a rebuilding year. All but one player from this year's team returns to play next year.

Thanks for the info. I knew I would be in the balcony. It has just been a couple of years since I have announced a game at Waverly.

You are correct. It does mean the close of all facilities.
