Barring a key injury, I think AC can get by Betsy again.  AC thought they had that game won and Betsy punched em in the mouth.  Until that point in the season,  Betsy looked pretty bad. The AC game was the coming out party. If, if AC plays to what they are capable of,  I think they get Betsy but it should be a good game none the less. It's not as if they haven't beaten them in the playoffs before.  

I do not believe AC gets by GV though.  Unless GV plays uncharacteristically bad or gets a case of the fumblesthey should win.  GV is pretty consistent and well coached so I wouldn't count on that.

  Reasons I think GV wins.  Depth on the lines and a solid defense. GV has played very good on D all year with several shut outs. AC is an absolute threat to win this game but I think GV wins if I'm honest. 

Great reply...betsy has gotten better each week because they have a great coaching staff and those kids live and breathe ball. Greeneville a "dud" gameS this year was mo west and possibly DB YET THEY STILL pulled them both out...I'm not sure who I want to see if we get to the third round....you would think that AC is due at this point but just because a bill is due doesn't always mean it gets paid...that said...I want Betsy in Rd three simply because I enjoy beating them more than AC...at the end of the day though I don't care who we play...just win baby!

FACTS.....and no im not saying Greeneville cant or wont win this game, Im just saying what Dave is saying about winners is true. It's what Greeneville has done for over a  decade lately and is still doing. The difference is this years team is younger than baby poop but just like baby poop, it will harden up and at some point be the king of the bowl again!!!

i'll give ole davey this....he definately has a stylish lettemans jacket and a great tee retrieving dog to go along with that fantastic fireworks show that pops off before we beat him in the playoffs every year. It gives us fans something to look forward to in the game, since the game usually ends up boring......and an enthusiastic "you're welcome" to you sir.

let's also not forget that coach Mccurry deserves a ton of credit for the "culture" change at greeneville. Ballard continued what McCurry brought. Ballard also coached under quarles at murvull...Spradlen will be just fine here if people will stay off his ars and let him work. ballard lost i beleive 4 games his first year with alot older and more talented team. There's a pretty big learning curve for any first time head coach dont ya think? Eddie will do a great job here, no doubt in my mind

i do need to and have appologized for saying the things i said in my friday LIVE stream when Trenton was watching.....in my stream tonight at 8 im going to revisit that appology and make it again. Lawnman, i hope im still welcome at CB stadium if we make the 3rd round.

when ballard was blowing teams out ev ery friday night, the starters always got pulled....occasionally, the starters played the firs series or two of the third quarter but then they were pulled. i cant speak for every single blowout cause there were so many of them. its hard to ask your starters to p lay a half of football 12 games a year and expect them to stay game conditioned for a late playoff and state champ run.....i dont know if witten does this in all blowouts or not. i would like to think not, but  i can only speak for friday night...i am now done with this topic and moving on. if some of you people dont understand why this is a very idiotic thing for a coach to do...ANY COACH, then you probably need to stop watching football, and latch on to another sport....like maybe golf.....which i suck at by the way

jjm, can you put your  betsy bias aside here for a second, like i have done my devil bias in my last few p osts......ask yourself this sir....would you rather y our son be sitting on the bench at Tennessee on scholly, or be startig  at pigsknuckle state comm college in somewhere arkansas?? be truthful please...having asked this q uestion, i will say this....if i had a kid riding the pines at UT or starting at blah blah state comm college i would be proud as heck for either one.

lawnman, i wish more people on coacht were like you....MYSELF included at times. I lost my temper on here for the first time in 11 years doing this this weekend and my appologies to everyone for that. im 53 now, not 23.....when i was 23, i wouldnt have lost my temper, i would have probably lost my freedom. the betsy folks are a fine bunch and truth be told, just like us here in g'vegas...

Ok, heres my final take on everything Betsy vs G'ville up to this point. These two communities have been sports rivals for as long as i can remember. sometimes we kick yours, sometimes you kick ours. for most the 2000's, Ours has been the dominant football program and along the way, im sure some noses have been rubbed in the dirt and some feelings have been hurt. It sucks to lose to your biggest rival all the t ime ( im a vols fan, i KNOW alot about this particular topic) so, when you FINALLY slay the dragon, it feels dam good and you want to hoot and holler about it. I get it, thats one of the things that makes all of this so fun and at times so frustrating and painful, ESPECIALLY as we get older and our time left to enjoy it starts to dwindle. I totally understand how the betsy kids, coaches , parents and fans felt last year the first time yall came from behind to take down the "big bad devils" and then again the second time, sending us packing for the year. and I totally get and understand how great it must feel to come in to the devils house and stick a fork in us. It's no fun to be the one getting whupped. we BOTH now know how that feels and man does it suck. So enjoy your time at the top Cyclones. you've worked for it, earned it and by gosh deserve to be proud of it. now, its our kids turn to work hard, bust azz and strive to take back what we BOTH all love and covet.....the title of "Champions". We are both two very proud communities who will fight tooth and nail to defend our own and that's something for both of us to take pride in. It's been a blast cooresponding with most of you guys on here the past 11 years. Our boys will continue to scrap with one another on the grid iron long after we are gone. So, best of luck to the Cyclones the rest of the way and should we see eachother again in 5 weeks up there in CB stadium, then we'll get after it one more time and see whats what.

i agree, i was out of line to tell trenton to say that but i was pissed off and  appologized to trenton later. i hope he heard it and if he didnt, i will tell him again next time i talk to him. Trenton is one of nicest young men ive ever met since i started doing this 11 years ago and i have the utmost respect for ALL and i mean ALL of these kids on both side of the field. I NEVER talk trash to a teenager and never will, but i know the betsy folks would be saying exactly the same thing i was saying if the roles were reversed. I'll paraphrase here...."  coach witten should be ashamed of himself and also be very very thankful that none of his premier starters got hurt leaving them in the game with  5mins to go,  up 37-10. imagine if bryson rollins goes down? no gold ball...parker hughes or morton goes down? and for what reason? to rub greenevilles nose in something? news flash Shawn..you clearly have the best team in 4a right now and with rollins back there healthy, yall are virtually unbeatable when clicking. Without Rollins back there....TOTALLY different team. I would LOVE to hear HIS explaination why he chose to risk his starters just to score another meaningless touchdown? im shocked he didnt go for two.

i've stayed off of coacht this year for a good reason and man i wish i could control myself enough to have stayed off this week too but i just couldnt do it. I hope my young, gaining experience devils, who are feeling their oats right now, can continue that for one more week. I'm sure them betsy boys are feeling confident, as well they should be and i hope my boys are feeling more and more confidence within themselves. While the local tv camera crew will  be in this county....albeit at the wrong school, up in Burley, the two best team in NET will be duking it out one more time for conference bragging rights and yet again, a couple of early home games in the playoffs before  possibly seeing eachother again....wouldnt that be great?

no way. Boone lost White, and they wont have the same momentum in this game that they did with us. We let them hang around in the first half.betsy wont....we're young and very inexperienced on the D side.....we'll be fine...and betsy will murder Boone...

ITS UPLOADING NOW....not one im proud of, cause i slapped it together in about 4 hours. I wont be making the trip to union next week because this year is ofcourse very different from others. While it sucks that i wont be traveling with the team this year, its the best decision for all involved. What sucks most for me is I was really looking forward to Spradlens first year as HC and I wont get to enjoy it as closely as i would in a "Normal" year. After one game, I have no less confidence in what this team is capable of, than i did before it started. Im not gona feed yall the bull some other devil fans might, and say this was a great boone team. Boone is always a tough scrappy team that isnt afraid to hit you. This game is the classic case of " If you let them hang around"...Greeneville is 3 to 4 touchdowns better than boone on most nights, just not this one. Our Kicking game is got a TON of work to do.....My biggest hope for THIS year is that we make it to the playoffs.....and i mean litterally  MAKE IT , as in the season lasting that long....GO DEVILS, Toppers, come get you some.
