Renegades

The Renegades 2015 is a 17u team based out of Goodlettsville, TN. We will soon be holding an open try-out for any interested players who desires in competing at a high level (mid August). We will be looking for players who are committed and have a strong and positive attitude to compete. FYI, we are not just looking for one or two players... every position is open for competition! Players from any area are welcomed. After the 2015 team is selected, we may play a few fall tournaments for those players who are available. This season, the Renegades played Perfect Game, East Cobb Showcase and TopTenn tournaments along with other high quality tournaments. We start hitting at our indoors cage late November and start play after the end of school ball. The Renegades will be holding try-outs for the 2014 team Saturday August 24th. The try-out will be held at Pope John Paul II High School in Hendersonville starting at 10:30am. Our coaching staff consists of former college or professional players with no family members on the team. This try-out will be for new players who wish to be a part of our team. None of last year’s players will be present for this try-out. The Renegades will be returning to Perfect Game and E. Cobb along with other high quality tournaments. The Renegades are coming off a successful 2012 season as a 14u team and are looking to add additional players who are serious about baseball. The 14U Renegades will be holding try-outs for our 2012 team on Saturday Sept 10th and Sunday Sept 11th at Peay Park in Goodlettsville, TN The Renegades goal is develop your player and help prepare them for high school baseball by focusing on fundamentals and improving their baseball skills while being a competitive team. The head coach of the 2012 Renegades is Brian Winders who was a pitcher on the 1993 LSU National Champion team and was drafted by the Royals. He currently coaches baseball at Pope John Paul II in Hendersonville. His assistant is Doug Barner who was an infielder at MTSU and was drafted by the Rays. He is in the MTSU record book for second in single-season home runs with 19 in 1996 and third in slugging percentage at .702 for the 1996 season.
