Hilarious Questions. The two years that Keith has been the head coach, if I heard correctly from someone a few months ago, were the two winningest senior classes in school history. Also, didn't you guys start like 5-6 Freshmen this year? I would say going 7-4 with your schedule playing that many freshmen is a pretty good job.

pac12, it truly surprises me then that you would show the Hodge brothers such disrespect. "Who had heard of the Hodge brothers before they came to Dresden?" Being from Dresden, as you say you are, I would assume that you would know how unsuccessful the team was prior to their arrival. Yet you make it sound like they got lucky to receive the opportunity to even step foot in the town. Before they got there, Dresden was cutting their pregame warmups short 7 out of 10 games due to being the other team's homecoming. Why don't you call all the schools they have played in the last 4 years and ask them how many times they have scheduled Dresden as their homecoming game. And while you are at it do a little research and try to find me any 4 years, let alone in a row, where Dresden won as many games as they have the last 4. List another year they have went to the title game and followed it by going back to the semifinals. And you know why there wasn't a long list of applicants for the job before the Hodge brothers got to Dresden...it wasn't because Dresden was losing...it was because most coaches don't want to put in the time and effort it takes to turn a program around and build community support. Most "coat-tail" coaches want to come to a program that is already established and winning. They want to reap the benefits of the hard work of the prior coaches. I have known Keith and Chad for a long time. I remember their success as players at Bruceton. And both of them, especially Chad, had a ton of success coaching at another school before they came to Dresden. So the next time you get ready to show them the disrespect you did keep in mind all the time and efforts they put into the program to help get it where it is today. I may not be from Dresden, and may be a bit bias because I know their family, but I will defend two guys who deserve more respect than what you are showing them.

The funny thing is that this is not a hard decision for your administration. They should hire the best coach/teacher. Everyone on here knows who that is and everyone in the community knows who that is. Why settle for less? It boils down to what is best for the kids. It is impossible to make everyone happy but to completely disappoint over a 1,000 to make a couple of people less unhappy makes 0 sense.

I still believe your administration IS smart enough to hire Chad. Just too crazy to lose him. A motor won't run without its sparkplug. We need Dresden to stay good to keep pushing our kids here in Huntingdon. We don't believe in taking weeks off on our schedule.

Anybody heard anything the last couple of days as to when your administration is going to announce anything? Where is the confidence level of it being Chad or somebody else?

Hey, we don't play 22 year olds...we let them go to the NFL at 21. Isn't your baseball team pretty young? Give them some time to gel and find the right combinations on the field and in the line up. Never know...if your boys' bats get hot the first week of May and you can find another pitcher to go with your freshman then you might cause problems in the district tournament...but keep in mind it would be at best second place behind my Mustangs. ysoangry...how do you know they are announcing the new football coach tomorrow?

Who cares how he spells his name. Does anyone even have proof he was interviewed or even applied? And even if he did surely your administration isnt going to hire someone who cheated on EOC's and constantly jumps school to school. He just isn't the right fit at all for your program.

You talking about Rang? He has been a coach on 5 different teams in like 8 years. He wouldn't stay more than 3 years. Why would a guy leave Knoxville to come to Dresden? Sounds fishy if he was even the least bit interested. Let alone his cheating on the EOC tests. Sounds like a high risk on the Dresden Administration's part.

I hate it for you guys but lionsupport is right. Your administration has wasted way too much time. Its going to hurt you guys this spring and summer. If you get the "right" coach in there he will definitely get it back on track by August. I hope this extra "dead period" doesnt cause you guys to slip from 2nd in our district to 3rd or worse. Let's face it...your team is getting out worked by every team in our district right now...especially the Mustangs

Anybody in Dresden heard anything today? Is the administration trying to set a record for the longest time ever taken to make a decision on anything?

Nobody has condemned the guy. That will come half way through the season, lol. Just kidding. I'm sure he is a great guy. He can't do any worse than the last few. I bet keeping the talent in line will have to be one of his top priorities.

Who exactly would they upset if they offered Chad the job? 2 or 3 people? Isn't everyone else going to be happy though? By offering the job to someone else aren't they reversing the numbers and causing themselves tons of problems and issues? Hope you guys have a ton of player leadership during all this time without a head coach. Bet the work ethic is suffering. Who are yall scrimmaging this spring?

Of course I didn't realize you only play with 11 on the field during the game. But hey, there are never any injuries during football in which you would have to replace a player. And during practice it is always good to wear your starters out doing scout offensives and defensives since you don't have enought depth to use backups. No coincidence that Adamsville has been to the semifinals 3 straight years and the finals the last 2 years and they have 100 kids out every year. Similar numbers and results here in Huntingdon too. But maybe yall's new guy can double that 40 number and start winning like we do year in and year out. He definitely has athletes and talent in the school to work with.

Allaroundsports said he will have 40 guys out to play. 40 isn't enough kids to beat anybody in the 2A playoffs. Unless that 40 are all D1 players (which isn't happening). He better get his numbers up to 70-80 to compete with Huntingdon, Adamsville, Peabody, etc. But I do wish him luck because he will need it.

I don't know what years he has been where but it says he is coming from Portland High School which has struggled greatly. Just figured MP could find a guy with a lot more recent success.

He isn't coming from a successful program. Portland was 0-10 last year scoring only 60 points the whole season. 5-6 in 2012, 0-10 in 2011 scoring only 81 points that whole season, and 1-9 in 2010. MP couldn't find a guy with more success than that?

Coachwdb, didn't you say they would announce it last Friday? That didn't happen. So either your source isn't very reliable or you are making stuff up. Which is fine because people get bored and need something to argue about. If someone knows something concrete why don't they give some proof??? Still hoping you guys get Chad to keep our district strong.

Don't you guys feel Chad is by far the best candidate? Surely they will meet with him and iron out what they need to iron out and get it done. I bet deep down everyone knows your administration will do the right thing and it has just taken longer than most wanted it to take.

Maybe he knows something the rest of your community doesn't. He seems to be communicating with the people who are making the decision. I thought your principal is making the decision not a group of people. Did your principal say that he would decide by Friday?
