Like i have said all year long, if WC takes care of the football and swarms  the ball on defense, we will be alright!  Cornersville better bring their " A "  game to beat us at home!  I aint saying it can't happen only saying it's not likely, not likely at all!  "GO CATS"

After looking over the schedules I think The only way we lose this one is if we beat ourself.We have to take care of the football and no stupid penalties at crucial times

Does anyone know why there is an 'Upper Bracket' and a 'Lower Bracket', instead of a straight 'double elimination' 8 team bracket? In theory, if the top two teams were in the same bracket, then top two teams wouldn't play in the finals. In a straight double elimination bracket, that wouldn't be the case. I know people will say that it only matters who wins, but getting to the finals should be reserved for the two best teams, right?

How dare you suggest anything that would makes sense like this. TSSAA doesn't do very much that does make sense but yes it would make sense to put all 8 teams in a single 8 team double elimination bracket. It would make for more pitching for teams that fall into losers bracket early but it would help cut out one pitch wonder teams also. Know that the champ has to beat some team twice but it would help insure that the 2 best teams could be there at the end and 1 not going home because they got put into the same top or bottom bracket

Summertown defeated Columbia Academy 7-2 tonight in Summertown. Not a clean game, but a win just the same

Collinwood goes down 8-5 to Cornersville Hate to see it end that way for them. Cant help but wander what if they had Butler but still a good year

I just heard that the Wayne Wildcats are not going to play in the District Tourney and they had to forfeit the rest of their games. Man i feel bad for the kids but that one kid and Coach Miller deserve it because they made bone headed mistakes.

Does anyone know how the district tournament will go since Clifton is not going to play? Will the #1 seed be the only team to get a bye or will 1,2 and 3 seeds get a bye ? Not sure how it will go but thinking just the #1 seed.

If both teams play their best game loretto wins. Cwood defense seems to be their achilles heel and Loretto has a couple of guys who can give a defense lots of trouble.

If WC continues making adjustments and changes we can be on a roll for the rest of season. Some of the new guys starting to get it and we are looking better.

Idk about CA now that they had some players leave. I would move them down below collinwood assuming MtP doesnt fall apart like they did last year.

Back to WC vs MC.... I think WC can win this game but they'll have to step up. I hope they play good lookin forward to it!

Agree. lots of young guys gona have to dig deep Friday night. What happens Friday night could determine alot about the rest of this season

Eagleville is definitely a good team. Very sound defensively....BUT...My Adamsville Cardinals pitched #5 and #4 against them at Blackmon. I mention this, not to take anything away from Eagleville, just to point out that they are not hitting anywhere near a State Championship level. TRUST ME....we see Riverside 3 or 4 times a year.

See your point but sometimes 4 or 5 pitcher gives some teams more trouble.

Started slow with some tough losses but the team is finally hitting the ball and coming together. We have won 8 straight now with overall record of 13 and 4.

We got the same record. One of our best pitchers cant pitch this year or we would have good shot at making some noise this year but still doing pretty good. Good bunch of kids and lots of fun to watch. looking forward to rest of season

Quarters was 1st game: Huntingdon vs Perry, Huntingdon won don't have score, 2nd game was Eagleville vs Adamsville. This one was a classic, 13 innings with Eagleville winning 3-2. Championship game was pretty good to. Eagleville held on to win it with a score of 7-6.

After a very strong season last year and some great experience in the State Tournament, the Pirates return tremendous talent and alot of starters. Expectations are high for this years team. Share your thoughts!!

Hows the season going so far piratetom

As a father of three sons this hits close to home. Cant imagine what the family is going through. Sad to lose a great athlete but more so to lose a young life. Prayers and thoughts go out to family,school,friends and community. May GOD be with you all and know your friends from Wayne Co are with you!
