I have made it to alot of the Warren Co. games this year and I just wanted to talk up the student body. The support that the bball team gets from them is the best i have seen in a long time. ( Even the girls games). I also wanted to add this I hate segial and their fans. Thats how i am going to put it. I can only wish that we meet again. I think that we will see what Warren Co. is all about Tues. night. They play Upperman a very good ball team. I think that Reese Bishop will be in the hunt for Player of the Year.

Two years ago when Woods left there were like 50 something coaches apply for the job. There has to be someone out there that can take this program in the right direction. Could Mr. Bennett fire Coach Tidwell or would someone over his head have to do that???

I liked and respected coach Tidwell and his decision to leave this program upsets me in a way but I do think that this is the right choice. The person i really feal for in this situation is Coach Tidwell. He moved 600 miles to Tennessee to take this job. He has a family and now has no job come the end of the year. The only thing that I wished that he would of done diffrent is wait until the season was over to quit but he had to do what he had to do. Best wishes Coach Tidwell and family.

Yes Coach Britton would be great to have here in warren co. I think that almost the whole Riverdale staff is from Warren co. Coach Rankin, Coach Britton, and Coach Snow.

If tidwell is fired after this season and I say that he might be (since we havent kept a coach longer that 3 years in 15 years) what are people going to think when they apply for the job who would want to apply for the job. If tidwell is gone after this year I think that the only thing that could turn this team around is if Gary Rankin comes back home to warren co. but I guess all we can do is dream.

Coach sued for $20 million over thrown helmet McMINNVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The mother of a former Warren County High School football player hit in the head last year by a helmet thrown by head coach Gerald Tidwell is suing him for $20 million in compensatory and punitive damages. The suit was filed in Shelbyville, Tenn., where on Aug. 30, 2002, junior fullback Mario Pezzimenti was inadvertently struck in the head by a helmet thrown by Tidwell during a heated halftime speech. Pezzimenti required 10 stitches to the left side of his head. Tidwell was charged with assault and received pretrial diversion. He was required to spend 11 months, 29 days on probation, fined $500 and ordered to undergo anger management counseling. Additionally, he was suspended with pay from his coaching and teaching duties until last Oct. 23 by school officials. County attorney Larry Stanley, who will defend the coach when the case goes to trial, said he believes the suit itself is not well grounded. Attorneys in the case said it could be a year before the suit is heard.

What gets me about all of this is this happend week 1 of last season so why are they filing the suit now??? And yes he did move he was going to play for White co but he quit this summer and now goes to Van Buren Co. high school where he lives.

He had to get 20 stiches in his head so yeah he was hurt. I guess its a million for every stich.

Warren co. high school football coach was sued yesterday for 20 million $$$. The people sued are Coach Gerald Tidwell, principal James Bennett, Director of Schools Dr. Hale, and the Warren co. school board. This was filed by the parents of Mario Pezzementie (sp). 20 million dollars is a outragous amount of money but i guess they will settle for less. I didnt think that this football helmet throwing conflict would be brought back up but I guess I was wrong.

Like I read in the paper Warren co. is a graveyard for coaches so how are we going to get some good ones in here?

Yes that was head coach gerald tidwell. But that was a total accident everyone agrees on that one. This tonight was not coach tidwell but coach Lydal (sp?)

i got this information from the officer that was involved in this situation and he said that Mr. Lankford would have been took to jail if Mr. Andy Jacobs wasnt there. So my sorce is good.
