  1. This game will also have a top notch officiating crew from out of town. Most of these guys have been doing this for 10+ years and college football as well. Good luck to my Lexington Tigers tonight!

GREAT for both teams!! Because it has not been very good all season. :thumb:

  2. we know u cant read...or think...or be a positive asset to our community...ur a negative nancy who is jealous of others and unhappy with his/her own life...im sorry the 99% of us are over ur head

no one goes around knockin ur coach for only runnin 4 plays a game...cause thats all it is...4 plays...but theyre run perfectly...different style...great results...

    [/

Remember little man, he is 10 - 0 running the same 4 plays! He beat Liberty last two years with the same 1 or 2 plays over and over again. Coach Hook does not have a clue about coaching the entire game of high school football. He only wants to score points!! Weak D and no special teams play each week. :thumb:

  3. City sidewalks, busy sidewalks

    Dressed in playoff style

In the air there's a feeling

    Of Playoff Time.

    Children laughing, people passing

    Meeting smile after smile

And on every street corner you'll hear

    Silver Balls

    Silver Balls

All we ever get is Silver Balls.

    Ring-a-ling

    2nd Place Rings

Soon it will be Round Ball Time.

    Strings of banners, even shakers

Hopes of bright Gold fading away

As the fans rush home with a loss

    Hear the East crow

    See the Middle win

    This was footballs big scene

And above all the bustle you'll hear

    Silver Balls

    Silver Balls

All we ever get is Silver Balls.

    Ring-a-ling

    2nd Place Rings

Soon it will be Round Ball Time.

  4. im so sick and tired of readin this crap...u think u could do a better job...go apply...maybe theyll put the interview on tv and we can all watch burkes and murray laugh in ur face...

who from jackson is better than hookfin...he missed the playoffs his 1st season...been in it ever since...liberty was God-awful before he got there...

TECH has never had the best qb in jackson...has never even come close to being the biggest team in jackson...has had 1 tremendously outstanding rb and he didnt even get state-wide recognition so he must not of been that good right??? never had any WRs of merit...and how many graduates are actually playing college ball...very very few...but u wana hang it all on the coach...

those kids compete...which they didnt do before he got there...they dont get into trouble at school at nearly the same rate they did before he showed up with discipline principles at practice...he makes sure they do their schoolwork and follow dress code...

the head coach is not inbetween the lines making plays...he calls the plays...this isnt a scrimmage where he stands behind them and puts them all in the right place every snap...

theres a reason ur posting that junk on coacht instead of coaching urself on friday nights and saturdays im sure... :hungry: i just ate u for lunch bia

Not sure what this crap post is trying to say.........I can not read this mess!!

  5. WR? Thats funny just the other day someone made the comment that Sellers was the best QB LHS has had in a while. I said maybe the best "running QB" as for the "traditional" QB id have to go with Ty Evans (in my time) and if Sellers an Evans were on the same Lexington team Sellers would be a WR! I think WR/DB will be his calling at the College level!

The two best QB's to play for Lexington in the last 20 years would be Sellers and Stu Jones. Ty Evans was a very good QB for the Big Red but his biggest problem was he played under Coach Lindsey and he was a very poor coach at best. Win/loss records don't lie. :thumb:

  6. You're right when you say the O wins the game sometimes and the D wins the game sometimes, but that has nothing to do with me asking where the D was in this game. Liberty and Lexington are supposed to have powerhouse defenses. From the numbers and the score of the game, there was no D.

Who said either team had a "powerhouse D"?? Are you making this up? Do you get all your high school football info from coach t?

Once again, the Big Red got the win...period! :thumb:

Most teams have one really good back (like Chester Co)Liberty has 4 or 5 great backs! By guess is that all those kids run the mid 4's.

Our D held their O to 300 yards and we had over 600 yards on O.

  7. :roflol:

I know for a fact and I dont feel like Lexington nor Liberty nor Chester County can hold a light to teams like Signal Mountian and Greenville. Greenville is beast on the field. Liberty is fast but cant hold to strength of Greenville. Neither would Lexington. Montague you got it down and you a Big Red fan that knows your game and football.

"I know for a fact"..........then why even play the game at all??

Mr rfratboy has all the answers. Why don't we let the teams play the

game each Friday night, OK? Everyone in the state knows that Greenville, Signal Mountian or Maplewood could beat the TN Titans on any given Friday night, just ask some of their fans. :thumb:

Its just high school football....and no you DON'T know who will win a game before it is played. :o

  8. Football polls mean nothing to the Lexington football team and coaches. They just want to win each game, each week. Nothing more, nothing less. :thumb:

They are trying to build a state champioship team one game at a time!

Being number 1 after game 15 is the long term goal.

Why do you want to waste time talking about high school football polls??

Team "Y" can beat team "Z".......who cares?? Just play the game and have fun doing it!

    GO BIG RED TIGERS!!

  9. lexington should give the second team QB an oportunity to shine and save the big boys from injuries and save them for big games... Scotts Hill Will Not be a problem for lexington seconf team i dont think! Should not even be playing such a knockoff team with no skill. waste of time!!! we should be playing big team and preping for the playoffs!!!

It's a money/gate game for the Scott's Hill football program. We stay close to home, save money and the 2nd & 3rd team will get to play a lot. After this series, it will stop.

Let's a safe and fun game Fridat night. :thumb:

  10. Dont have a top ten, but I'm a die hard Lexington fan even in a losing situation..Liberty is no knock off and had very very good talent, I believe Liberty could easily beat Lexington in a foot race anyday, but there fundementals and flags hurt them. Lexington also had many flags and lacks small things. It would surprise me to see a team faster than Liberty in west tenn. They got speed, as Far as Chester county goes yes they have playing tough teams, but Liberty is fast and will hit you hard ask Lexington in the first quarter, but dont let Lexington Fool you they fight till the finish and dont give up easy ask Liberty. Most team would have through up there hands at 14-0 but a team answer with 5 TD's after the fact has something. so for Liberty and Lexington to get pushed aside by CC not gonna happen sorry. The eagles will unfortunatly suffer 2 loses in district play and hopefully come back to represent well in the playoffs.

    Well said! ;)

  11. i get the idea that u have something against TECH sir...so ill remind u that most teams only have 3 options on offense...the qb, rb and normally 1 wr...so nothing new there...

this game as every other game TECH plays will come down to offensive and defensive lines...in the last game TECH went more with a passing attack that seemed to actually make the O-lines job easier...granted it was mcnairy im aware...however the d line still had some issues stopping the run...which is lexingtons primary form of attack...liberty in the past has had issues stopping the tigers run game...and seeing as how this years D isn't nearly as impressive as the last 2 or 3...i expect more trouble...last season lexington had a lil play that they ran out wide virtually every down in the 2nd half and none of TECHs players could get off the blocks to make a play...i havent seen any evidence this season that TECH will be able to stop that play...white house used the same play in the post season to take down the crusaders...i believe lexington has traditionally been bigger than the crusaders and that should stay the same this season...that being said the only crusader willing to lay a huge hit has been #7 and 1 player can only make so many plays...and if ur free safety is making tackles on running plays something is wrong...

this game will be a shootout if TECH attacks thru the air...i dont think there is a team in the district that has dbs that match up

as far as chester co...they beat everyone they were suppose to beat...a 1A school...a down 5A school...a rebuilding JCM and a struggling dyersburg team...they are a good team...but they are the 3 seed in this district...they have shown no dominate defense or explosive offense...but once again ill say it...they are a good team...where is the quality opponent...they havent played one yet

    Well said!!

Is Chester Co ready for the big boys??

Lexington's OL and DL will win this game. Liberty is VERY soft up front. :thumb:
