You guys should be he’s a very good kid. I'm sad to watch him go, but I’m glad he’s not going too far away, and I can watch him grow. Maryville will have a very good line next year. The Bearden vs. Maryville game should be a lot more interesting now. I hope you guys keep it on the ground because you won’t be able to throw it.
We will just put ole W5 behind big 55 and let him lead the way…

Every school Brody has been to, his siblings have followed, so no surprise there doesn’t mean they moved. From Catholic to Bearden to Maryville, same old, same old.
I don’t care if they moved or not. I’m just thrilled to have them enrolled and see them in Red and black!

Yeah, it’s a wonder what the Maryville booster club can do, but never doubt them. They’ve been doing it for years.
Address hasn’t changed either unless they all plan to live with a current coach on the Maryville football team.

The Smith family wouldn’t leave their business to move father away. They didn’t move anywhere, maybe the address on the paperwork says they did. The Smith family didn’t
I wasn’t talking about their business or home. I was talking about the children attending MCS.

Only thing that changed is the Smith’s family wallet size ain’t nothing else change.
How you figure? The children’s schools have changed lol

It’s doing his job when Maryville does it but when anybody else does it it’s recruiting…
coaches better take the boosters out for a nice dinner for this one.
Or be thankful to the Smith family for deciding they need a change.

Does this mean we have a Bearden pipeline? First the Jones Boys. Now the Smith boys and girls

Thanks everyone for all the kind words. Been a very bad day to be woken up at 5.30 to hear someone on the other line telling me my wife has passed away. I've known for a couple of weeks things were not looking good. I found her Monday Morning unconscoius and called an ambulance and I was told lastnight things were looking much better but she had a heart attack and passed on this morning around 4 a.m. There were many times over the past three years I couldn't go to the ballgames because I didn't want to leave her alone. I know she is in a better place as to be in the pain she has been in the past few years.
I’m so sorry buddy. I’ve known her since we were little girls. I just can’t imagine what you’re going through. Love and prayers to you and her mom and brother. I haven’t wanted to bother you but I’ve been in contact with Richard.

I realize this is an early football thread, and there are various rumors floating around about portal opportunities, but has anyone else noticed the segregation of athletic programs at 825? For the first time in my 12 yrs, I didn’t see a fan or school official at any of the baseball games during spring break - only parents. Maybe it’s only happening with baseball? I hope the basketball team got support in the glass house. Did anybody go to middle TN other than parents?
I went. Sat with parents. Saw several of the football coaches and their kids. But I didn’t see one student except the cheerleaders.

I’ve never been to a basketball game at TTU but I’ve been to the Glass House several times. I think it’s nice. No complaints here.

9:30 on Wednesday and again on Friday if they win. That’s scary in itself. How many teenage boys are game ready at 9:30 AM on spring break??
The Rebels are leaving Tuesday at noon for Murfreesboro. So I’m sure they will have a curfew Tuesday night at the hotel.

I'm so proud of our team, school, and community. They showed up and showed off Monday night. That is the most Cookeville fans that have ever been in that gym and surely rivals the biggest crowd in general to ever attend a game there. Literally the only seats available were the first two rows in the top bleachers. I assume because you can't see over the rail.
Cavs have 7 kids that can play. 7 that could start and be productive on 98% of teams in the state. Obviously we have some good young talent behind them on the bench, but that 7 man rotation has been special. 2 of the 4 seniors have already signed/committed D2 and someone is going to get a steal with Colin Ayers.
Go Cavs, Beat Maryville!
It will be safe to say you will pretty much fill up the Glass House. Since Maryville is on spring break I’m not sure what kinda crowd we will bring. I’m looking forward to it though
