I've noticed this is a mainly East Tennessee website, so here is a West Tennessee baseball update. John Wesley Ray is 4-0 on the hill. St. George's ace John Marc Shelly struck out 10 in a complete game victory vs. Briarcrest Christian School. His 100th pitch was clocked at 95 mph. Bartlett High School is 9-1 on the year. John Bussinger (St. Benedict) lifted a walk-off HR in the bottom of the 7th to defeat ECS 1-0 in the St. Benedict Tournament.

Read an article in the Memphis newspaper, the Commercial Appeal, today and a coach discussed the possibility of having an All Star game held at USA Stadium at the conclusion of this season. Possibly public school vs. private school. He said there have been over 20 signees in the Memphis area alone already. Any thoughts? I think it is a great idea and a good opportunity for the private school kids to play against the public school kids. Memphis area private schools are better overall anyways. Looking forward to this!
