Coudland boys played a great game and have nothing to regret. As a McEwen Warrior student/fan, I will say I think my nerves are shot! McEwen definitely has to get out of this funk before tomorrow if they want to win. As for tonight, Congrats to Cloudland on a great season and McEwen, let's take tonight as a lesson and step it up!

Where exactly is your proof? Point made. It doesn't matter at this point anyways. The tournament has already started and BTW plays today. I will be up there to see what this "pefect" team that BtwSherrif speaks of is all about. Expecially if they end up playing tomorrow. Have fun with all of your "discussions" today. I will be watching the games instead.

Aw, did I hurt your feelings? Sorry that I can actually make a statement that doesn't trash teams. I know you and your Memphis buddies can't stand acknowledging that a team from middle or east TN CAN beat you. P.S. I never said not to cheer for your own team. I myself will be there tomorrow cheering on my McEwen Warriors, and hope to make it to the BTW game to see what all this talk is about. That doesn't require you bashing every team in the tournament.

I am not a sir, I am a she and I am proud of my team and our accomplishments this year. Just to start about the things you were wrong on. I don't know who you thought said this, but it wasn't a sir. NOW, if this isn't about talented players, then how come one of your comments stated how you felt that it didn't matter if there was a couple talented players elsewhere because Memphis teams had their benches go deep with talented players. EXACTLY, so "sir" please don't try to get smart because I actually know how to back my statement up. These may be message boards here, but keep in mind it is a message board for discussion on high school teams and games. Notice I said DISCUSSION. Debates also, but NOT trash talking and downing of the other teams, which I have seen you do so for the past couple months. Of course you know that, because people have continuously told you that what you say goes to far. So, sir, you need to learn how to use the message boards before trying to explain it to someone else. I don't get why people are disbuting which part of Tennessee is better. We are all from Tennessee, are we not? There are teams from all 3 parts of Tennessee in the tournament, are there not? Did all 8 teams in each division place top two in their region and win a substate game or didn't they? If you really want to argue with Memphis talent being the best, why don't you argue them against every city/town in every other state in the nation. Nobody cares where the talent comes from, they just want to see the games. Several people on here make it very hard to even try to like memphis teams because they degrade every team not from Memphis. There is a difference from supporting your city and just flat out being obnoxious. There is talent all across the state and that is that. As for the tournament arrangments, not everybody in the state is going to agree so why complain. Drawing randomly isn't terrible and just because two teams are from west TN doesn't mean they shouldn't play in the 1st or 2nd round. There is no logic in having them in seperate brackets, only a personal opinion. I am not trying to be rude, but I don't like that middle and east TN don't get the recognition and respect that they deserve. West TN does supply many talented players and I'm not denying that. However, the rest of TN is not talentless!

Thank you, I take much appreciate to that compliment. As well, I am with your post 100%. Every team should go out there and give it their all. The ones that lose will be disappointed for a little while, of course, but I hope they all hold their heads up and realize what they accomplished. Making it to state is a great achievement and as long as they don't hold back, they should have nothing to regret. The memories made will last a life-time and I hope they cherish every moment.

Nobody should be smack talking at this point because everybody in the tournament deserves respect. Bragging about your team or hoping they will win is great, but underestimating teams is a mistake. As you said, nothing being said will add a point in the end. The games are in less than 24 hours and only then will we see who comes out on top. Until then, good luck to both teams. I am pulling for PC in this game because I want McEwen to play them in the end, but both of the teams have made it here for a reason.

Our boys handle pressure well, expecially our point. I don't see them having many issues with the press.

If PC and McEwen make it in the finals, it won't be favored by points at all. It would be a coin toss with these two teams. But, if McEwen makes it and plays BTW or LC...I can see people favoring them over McEwen.

No. They made it to substate, but I was told Puckett got into foul trouble (which was unusual for him.. but you know how refs can be) and they lost. Someone just told me they didn't make it to Substate when he was playing, it must have been 1st or 2nd round of region. But still, they were a great team back then!

Wouldn't expect anything else, especially for a state tournament game. McEwen will scrap for it too if they get down. Wish it was Thursday already!

McEwen is a small town an hour+ west of Nashville. They have an amazing point gaurd/post duo. All 5 starters can hit the 3 and they are fast. As said by someone else, there is more discussion on them on the McEwen/Cloudland thread if you want to learn more.

Friendship will give McEwen a game (assuming they both make it past 1st round), but McEwen CAN win.... a lot of ifs to determine it. But of course, I'm pulling for our McEwen boys!

I picked BTW to win first round. However I don't think they are just gonna roll right through it like you seem to think. I can, not saying they will, see them getting put out on an upset because of over confidence. Still waiting for you to tell me which tape you saw.

Your opinion is what it is. Many would disagree, especially on the middle school statement. McEwen is 30-1 and at state for a reason, just saying.

I can understand that...McEwen hasn't gotten the coverage that BTW PC or LC have had. Just thought I would mention them though. They have a good chance to make it to the finals and make it a good championship game.

Just curious why y'all are leaving McEwen out? If they handle the pressure well, they may very well make it to the finals. If they do, they may win or lose but I don't see it being by huge margin.

We start 4 seniors and 1 junior. No team from McEwen has ever made it to state, so our boys are ready to go in and do what they have to. They handle pressure well but State is a whole new experience. Interested to see this match up.
