So i am hearing there is no talent base in gibson county territory, and the little talent that is there wont play football because they have always sucked? Also the winningst coach got out quick because he couldnt win there? If he is the winningest coach, why did he leave so quick? Obviously, this is not a quick turnaround type of program. And from what im hearing has good facilities and community support, why leave so quick?

Let me ask you a question. What kind of support does the football program get from a.) the administration and b.) the community? Are the facilities up to par with the rest of the region?

I just moved to medina, and i am not from west tennesse. So this has nothing to do with South Gibson, which even though they made the playoffs never was a good team. Sounds like if you have a lot of slow boys, you need to invest in some speed training. Also a good coach could get the best athletes and players to join the football team. If you just want to whine and complain that you cant compete, that is loser talk. Its all about attitude buddy. Sounds like you need a fresh face that has no connection to the school and does not give one rip about your tradition. The head coach needs to instill the passion and mindset that any team in TN is beatable,which they are.

That sounds like loser talk to me. Whats the diffence in players that go to the surrounding area schools?

Thanks, i appreciate the feedback. Always played football till i got hurt and kinda gotten away from it the last few years. Really want to get into with out leaving my current job. I would love to be able to help teach the fundamentals to the next generation.

How realistic would it be to be an assistant coach (position coach) while holding down a normal 8-5 office job? Would like to help with coaching, but do not want to leave my current job or teach. Football is my life, but not sure what i could do while working full-time.

South Gibson should not win this game. They lost to a horrible team in crockett county. First this team lacks physical play. They play defensively emotionless. They do not have a QB, he is an athlete and that is all he will ever be. In order to beat good teams, you have to be able to be balanced and South Gibson is not. If a defense can be physical and read their keys, South Gibson is easy to beat. This team is not well coached. I do not see enough in game coaching being done on the sidelines to warrant right now labeling them as good coaches. The whole team looks like they have never seen a weightroom, just look and play with no physicality. This is a team that will get killed in the playoffs. This should be a W for Westview.
