2 games to watch tonight, Camden @ Waverly and Creekwood @ Cheatham County.

I expect Waverly to beat Camden by 10 or more and I expect Cheatham County to win by 15 or more.

With that being said, I could see both games being close at the end.

J3 and jujuan are 4 stars.I dont see the guy from Blackman on the list. Im pretty sure he is good,but not on their level.

Have you seen all 3 guys play? I have, and I'm telling you that all-around Darius Thompson is better. As far as being a "4 star", wasn't Jonathon Crompton a 5 star rated player? Don't put all your stock into star rating.

I highly doubt Corn stays in state as well... It is kind of sad that Ramsey and Corn are likely not going to stay in state.

As Ron Burgandy stated: That escalated quickly, I mean that really got out of hand fast". LOL

In AAA all 3 finalists should be from the West.Hubbs,Johnson, and King along with J3 are in a league by themselves.

I'll take Darius Thompson over J3 and JaJaun Johnson anyday. I've watched all these guys play and J3 is the biggest letdown.

Enough of talking about other sports, this is a basketball forum.

So the District Tourney is held at Stewart County this year..... I feel bad for all schools who have to travel there. Not a fun drive. And poor places to eat. The gym is ok, I just don't think it's a good location.

Without a doubt this district is down. The District Tournament is anyone's to win, I could see anybody winning it this year, but come Region, might be a clean sweep.

CPA for sure, then I would bet on East Nashville.

I highly doubt Ramsey stays in state. Corn Elder is leaning towards Ohio State in Football, but rumors that Purdue might offer him in Basketball. No one really knows where he is going.

The reason Waverly's defense looked poorly is because when you play that style of ball (press entire game), against good teams, you're gonna give up easy buckets. Rebounding was a significant factor as well. Waverly allowed way top many offensive rebounds. You can't press good teams and hold them to a low score.

As for PapaTiger, funny that you ask if McEwen is playing, they are, you can find this on Coacht.com, go to McEwen High School and check under Men's Basketball, then go to schedule, this may be a little confusing for ya, if you have trouble let me know.

If I recall Les Trotter walked way out on the court and didnt get a TF, if what you say is correct, well I guess it's okay for him to and not Cheatham.

Cheatham does what they had to do and comes out with a great win. Dropping 91 points!!!

I have a big issue with the officiating though, it was beyond ridiculous and calling a technical foul on a manager that is on the bench is absurd! Great win for cubs. Can't wait till they play again.

Cheatham County and Waverly tonight. Big District game, I hope that by rescheduling this game due to weather doesn't affect attendance.

Crazzyness, if one were to rank the teams from last year's single A Tourny, Cloudland probably would've been 8th. McEwen was probably 5th. I'm not being biased, just stating the facts, East Tennessee schools are not as good as the West, nor the Middle.

I have seen both teams a lot this year, and in my opinion, Waverly will struggle bc their lack of size. Cheatham has the guards to play with Waverly. As for style of play, I don't believe Cheatham will be affected by Waverly's up tempo play. Cheatham will have to guard Waverly at the 3 point line, Waverly can shoot the ball well.

Hopefully we can start talking about the games instead of this nonsense, anyways Cheatham County and Waverly play next Tuesday January 15th @Waverly. This is definitely the marquee game in this District. Cheatham County suffered a shocking loss to Creekwood last night and Waverly continued their impressive play against Camden.

Should be a great game and great atmosphere. Looking forward to it.

This is a Mid state poll. Union City is number two in the AP poll in the single A classification

My mistake then, still feel Creekwood isn't a top ten team in Mid-state.

Don't agree with Creekwood being in top ten, They probably have the best girl player in the state but the team is not top ten worthy.

I feel Union City should have made the cut especially since they played toe to toe with Ensworth.

Just from remembering last years state tourney, wartburg and cloudland were fairly weak teams, honestly I thought the only "good" teams were Lake County and BTW, but Lake County was badly outcoached against Perry Co. Single A definitely down this year. District 10A is the worst I have ever seen this year.

I expect Waverly to win handily, I'll say Waverly 85 Camden 61

Wish I could make the Cheatham/Harpeth game tonight, but oh well. Could be close considering "rivalry", but I think Cheatham wins by 16 or more.
