I think East Nashville should still have some guys. Waverly will actually be in contention next year as well as Creekwood. Both teams return everybody.
I though the AA tournament was great and the AAA tournament didn't disappoint. The A tourney was decided in the 2nd day between Goodpasture and Mitchell. Very excited for next year.
What a Great Game! I really enjoyed watching both these teams the past 2 years. I hated to see one lose, but wow, congrats to JSS, and East Nashville has nothing to hang their head about.
From an unbiased opinion here, it was one of the worst officiated games I've seen. Bad calls against both teams, the worst was the Intentional foul call against Oak Ridge. Completely incompetent call.
And the Giant falls! Great Game! CPA was a totally different team without Bonds and Blackwell, probably just your average middle of the run AA school without them.
Interesting 1st half, JSS needs to quit letting CPA have uncontested shots under basket to keep this up. If Blackwell gets in foul trouble early in 2nd half it could get real interesting.
Was at the game last year and this year's atmosphere might be better considering its on a Friday and a semi-final game compared to last year's was a 1st round game. Really excited for this one!
Boyd moved without the ball really well, cutting and made crisp passes early, later in game didn't do that as much, if they would hav blocked out, they had a chance. Hammered on the boards. BB was better than Wartburg and Cloudland past 2 years.
Oh I totally agree that West Tn teams have a gauntlet to run through whereas middle/east teams have an easier road. But Siegel does run a decent pressure defense. I have Arlington winning by 5.
Skydogg25 No one is questioning whether or not BB will come to play, but more than likely BTW will win convincingly based off of strength of schedule, I think it would be safe to say BB wouldn't have made it out of the region tournament if they were in West TN. Just my opinion but I'm sure most would agree.
Saw Arlington last year, and have seen Siegel the past 2 seasons. Siegel's pressure defense is their key to success, Arlington has some decent ball players, all comes down to how Arlington handles the pressure defense.
From what I've seen, I'd go with Hamilton as the favorite and Oak Ridge as a close 2nd. Brentwood is always tough due to their coach and system they play.
Would like to see what Arlington has, must be good enough since they beat White Station. Saw them last year in Dyersburg, believe they lost to JSS.
A - Memphis Mitchell dropping to Single A is crazy. they'll be the favorite with Humboldt as the next best.
AA - CPA will win it easily again.
AAA - Maybe if Hamilton's boys stay there, they will have a shot.
Couldn't help but notice Lake County has beaten Humnoldt once this year and played with them 3 other times, what should we watch today during Championship?
