  1. McMinn Central has now lost two in a row. This team has plenty of talent but they are very inconsistent. I think Coaches Johnny Morgan and Joe Young have their work cut out for them if the Chargerettes are going to make another run to the Boro.
  2. who are the top 10 teams in the state double AA ranks?
  3. I also think Bradley Central has to be thrown into the mix. They are big and physical and will cause problems for many teams.
  4. Pumba. Your right. Massingil did get the ball. And will continue to get it. Meigs doesnt have an answer for her And wont be able to find an answer. But Meigs played a great game. They have nothing to be ashamed of. They came ready to play and it showed. Like I said before, MC is just to athletic. And add to that fact their freshman are having to grow up quick and are responding.I just dont see Meigs being able to overcome it.
  5. Agreed. Meigs played well last night. The only problem though is they wont shoot the 3 in every game like they did last night. I think they hit 6 or 7 in the first half which is what helped them get the lead. Second half central didnt give them as many open looks and was able to pull away. Credit to Meigs. They were ready to play. But lets also give Central some credit. These girls are also very young plus they have a target on their back every time out being the defending state champs. Everyone is gunning to beat them. They kept their composure and came out after the half and did what they needed to do to win the game. I take nothing away from Meigs but they probably played their best game of the year last night. I cant say the same for Central.
  6. It seems everyone is in agreement. McMinn Central just has too much fire power for Meigs to contend with. If its a close game I would be extremely surprised. It seems like whenever Central loses players to graduation they just reload with more. This year is no different. They are young but extremely athletic. Central by 25.
  7. McMinn Central is very young as is Meigs County. However, I just dont think Meigs will be able to handle the athleticism that Central will bring to the table. The sophomore for Meigs is a good player. But Central probably has at least 2 or 3 girls in their arsenal that can guard her. No one can stop Masengil period. And if the freshman comes through for Central plus an array of other talent, it could make it a very long night for Meigs.
  8. Agreed on CAK. The McMinn County freshman point is tearing it up for CAK right now. 55 pts in the last two games. That district may very well come down to Alcoa and CAK although Loudon is also suppost to be pretty good this year. loud
  9. Would like to hear your predictions this year on who will end up in the boro and why.
  10. Would like to here what fans from both sides think.
  11. Saw Sequoyah about a week ago struggle against Tellico. Then surprisingly watched McMinn County beat Meigs. Saw Polk against Central in the jamboree but that jamborees just dont tell you much. Your right though. I just dont see these teams being able to compete against Central for an entire game. Central is young but just too athletic.
  12. I have seen her play and she is awesome!!!
  13. Agreed. Lets hope their out of district games get them ready for Bradley. Bradley is just so big and will cause problems for a lot of teams this year. As for MC's district schedule, Meigs may be their best competition, though I dont see any posing much of a problem for Central. As long as they continue to grow as a team, the future looks bright.
  14. When I made the statement about many forgetting they are a young squad, I wasnt referring to anyone on here. I am very happy they are young and whats even better is they dont play like it. They will have some tough tests this year but there athleticism will hopefully carry them through. Also the future looks bright with some of the younger girls and a very talented freshman who is extremely athletic. Should be another exciting year for MC.
  15. Central took most if not all starters out very early in the 3rd quarter. If Coach Morgan wanted to beat them by 70 he could easily have. Walker Valley had no answers for Central period. And what many seem to forget is Central is also very young with only one senior starter. I look for them to have another very successful year.
  16. I think McMinn Central took out their frustrations from the earlier loss to Bradley Central with an 81-34 thumping of Walker Valley. Score could have been much worse with starters coming out early in 3rd quarter. WV is down this year but MC looked impressive in the win.
  17. Kelsey Myers. McMinn Central. 5'10 wing/post. Freshman
  18. Will the Chargerettes make another run at a state title?
  19. They will miss Jenna Adams. But I dont think this will be a rebuilding year. They will simply reload. Alot of talent returns with Masingale leading the way. They also have one or two freshman that will make an immediate impact.
