  1. I say ECS takes it all next year. Just my opinion.
  2. I look forward to watching it from the stands. Glad the championship stayed in our district,
  3. You guys did an incredible job Thursday and completely deserve that trophy. I wish our coach would have called a bit more running plays when you guys were dropping eight into coverage... But cuddos to your d-backs and your o-line as Omar was able to put up a staggering 300 plus yards rushing. As a senior on the USJ squad I had some understandable biases on some of my posts and sorry if I offended anyone. That was a great game, heartbreaking in my case, but either way congrats on the win.
  4. And you obviously haven't experienced one of our fine arts productions.
  5. We moved out of that division for other sports, not football, because the season before we left that division we went 9-2
  6. I disagree. I feel that any game played between two good teams is always decided in the second half. No game between two teams as solid as St. George and USJ could be put out of reach or decided in the first half. That game, USJ came out and played a great second half, giving them the victory. I feel that whoever decides to play the best second half on Thursday will win. My prediction: USJ - 41 SGIS - 27
  7. Well I was behind Lee so I know he was in line. I agree that during the game our fans were great, but after the game some things were said that probably shouldn't have, but iI guess that comes with a rivalry.
  8. I'm sorry that you were not able to see some of those players. But I personally know that once they were able to get out of the sea of fans, they got straight back in line. I had a hard time in that crowd myself, I can't imagine what the star players had to go through to get back in line. As a team, we tried to show the utmost respect that we have for you guys. I know some of our fans were jerks and I'm pretty embarrassed by the way some of them acted. Either way it was a great, clean game and I expect great things from both teams in the years to come.
  9. What does that have to do with anything in this thread? But I mean, if we are going there, If only USJ had "financial aid" money for their players... sigh.
  10. I agree completely Stick it to the man.
  11. First I would like to congratulate both players from Webb on winning Mr. Football this year. They had great seasons and deserved some credit. I personally feel Mayhall deserved the back award for 2011 due to not only his stats on both offense and defense, but also for being an exemplary student and a great figurehead in the Jackson community. I obviously have a some bias in this matter and don't know what kind of student and or person Caleb is, but I was disappointed that after game 2 weeks ago, he didn't shake anyone's hand. Caleb had a great career with staggering numbers, 2 state-championships, along with a great senior season. But seeing it as a yearly award, I felt Mayhall had a better season. I think that USJ's previous QB winning 2 years in a row hurt Mayhall's chances as Caleb has been a runner up a couple years in a row now. Let me reiterate that both winners are worthy of the award and I'm happy for them. Congrats to all the finalists and good luck to the Bruins this week as they play for the State-Championship.
  12. Having been to the last meeting between the USJ Bruins and the SGIS Gryphins, the main reason why the game was such a blowout was because SGIS had no answer for USJ's d-line. IF the SGIS coaches can find a way to slow them down, it could be a lot closer of a game. However, I don't think any team in D-II A has the capabilities of slowing down USJ's offense. They just seem unstopable, and if they play like they did against Webb, I don't think it's possible for them to lose.
  13. And I agree with everyone that Webbs stands suck. Even if other teams have similar layouts for stands, that still doesn't change the fact that they are not good. It just means that their stands also suck.
  14. Webb and USJ is such an intriguing matchup this year. Webb is always an offensive powerhouse with a solid defense backin them up. USJ runs a spread offense with a pass first mentality which always seems to give defenses a hard time when most highschool teams aren't able to run such a complex offensive scheme. The reason why the game this year could be a real barn burner is USJ's defense this year has been coached really well to stop offenses made to run the ball, with proof in their games against SGIS and a very under-rated SouthSide team. If USJ's defense can have a solid second half, I have a feeling there will be some really upset Webb fans. Having said that, my prediction: USJ - 42 Webb - 35
