  1. If you think "defense" is spelled "defence", your opinion doesn't count.
  2. Brentwood played their best all around game of the year in Round 1. If they continue that this week, it's going to be a long night for Overton. I predict a 42-7 bashing.
  3. I am getting really anxious for this game to get started. I can't wait to watch a battle of 2 wing t offenses going against defenses that are used to seeing the wing t in practice every day. I think we will see both teams try to do something to catch the other one off guard. This one should be a slug fest until the final whistle. Brentwood bias aside, I think the Bruins pull this one out by 10. I'll go 24-14
  4. Just my opinion. There's no way his offers don't at least have a little bit to do with his family ties. But just to stay on topic... MJ wins this game easily. I watched Indy get stomped by my Bruins, and Indy also lost to Ravenwood. They are a mediocre team at best. One and done just like last year.
  5. I think Wharton is way too small to ever make an impact at the college level.
  6. I'm thinking and hoping that Pemberton will unveil some new offensive looks that no one has seen yet. Bruins by 14.
  7. They played them on the news a few nights ago
  8. It was never my intention to trash the school. I'm fully aware that the current Centennial students/players had absolutely nothing to do with Brown's actions 10+ years ago. I didn't even intend for it to get turned into a huge discussion, I just thought it was ironic and slightly funny. And for the record.. it HAS been proven, and he IS guilty. I have literally heard the phone conversations that were recorded and they are disgusting. The school will be better off without him. Now we can get back to football talk.
  9. It actually has been proven. They have dozens of emails and recorded phone conversations. The only reason there is no criminal investigation is because of statutes of limitation.
  10. This article has a lot more information... http://www.tennessean.com/article/20121024/WILLIAMSON04/310240100/Centennial-High-principal-quits-over-sexual-misconduct-claims?odyssey=tab|topnews|text|FRONTPAGE I agree that his actual actions are not funny, but I do find it hilarious that he had the nerve to get on here with that novel about how noble his school was just a few weeks before all of this hit the press.
  11. http://www.wkrn.com/...s-of-misconduct Wow. Ridiculous is an understatement. I have to admit I got a good chuckle out of this one.
  12. Brentwood showed that they have a championship caliber defense tonight. Aside from the very first drive of the game, they did not give up anything all night. (One TD came off the blocked FG and another came off a botched kickoff where Blackman started the second half on Brentwood's 5 yard line). They also showed that they have the ability to move the ball and control the clock on offense even when facing a defensive line that matches their offensive line in size. Their only downfall was not executing well enough in the red zone. As a Brentwood fan, I am not too worried about this one. I think the positive things Brentwood showed on Friday night outweigh the negative things. The execution in the red zone is just a matter of better game planning and play calling, and I think Pemberton will get that fixed for the playoffs. I'm excited for the upcoming playoff ride. And I also feel sorry for Franklin this week...
  13. Call me crazy, but I actually hope Blackman shows up to play tonight. I love that my Bruins have stomped everyone this year, but at the same time, I have gotten extremely bored at pretty much all of the games this year. I guess that's a good problem to have, but I'm still hoping for some action tonight. Go Bruins.
  14. Reading all of this makes me miss Crawford even less than I already did (which wasn't very much)!
  15. Any thoughts? Seems like this will be the best team Brentwood has faced all year. I think Brentwood will win, but it will probably be their smallest margin of victory of the season.
  16. Haha, I don't want him to reveal the gameplan, I'm just trying to reveal that he has no idea what he is talking about.
  17. Cougar, just curious... what can Rector possibly do to "not allow" Brentwood to beat Centennial?
  18. So let me get this straight... Centennial, the team that only put up 3 points against Indy, is going to put up 14 on Brentwood who beat Indy 51-10 and is only allowing 3.3 points per game so far this year? Explain that one to me.
  19. Anybody else looking forward to Siegel vs Brentwood? Obviously it won't happen until the playoffs, but I think we all know its going to happen.
  20. Can you elaborate on the bush league play? I never heard anything about that one.
  21. I honestly think it was a little of both. Brentwood is really really talented in every aspect of the game. Indy didn't really have any players that impressed me, but that was partly because of the coaching strategy. Wharton has speed, but that's pretty much it (can't throw, can't break tackles). Very dumb to have him dropping back to throw passes. Indy would be much more successful leaving Swayze in at QB the whole game handing off to Wade and throwing bubble screens to Wharton. That being said, this game very easily could have been a shutout. Wharton only scored on the long run due to a busted defensive assignment (There was visibly confusion with the defense play call right before that play, and no BHS defenders covered the middle of the field, so he busted loose for 85 yards). The last second field goal before the half would not have happened if it weren't for an unsportsmanlike penalty on Brentwood.
  22. Thank you sir. And yea, even I didn't expect us to put up 51. I can't even imagine what we'll do to Hunter's Lane next week...
