Hard to argue with that. Also, they were a "ball rolling around the rim" away from going back to back the year before after a Boyd Buchanan player started their celebration too early and got called for a travel around mid-court. Which gave PC one last chance to win the game. PC just about won that game after Boyd Buchanan had it won after intercepting the pass around mid-court.

Pickett County won Sub-State at Moore County in 2021. But yes, hosting is vital for greater chances.

I hear you. It is all in fun at the end of day. I really really like Jett Montgomery. I have been a fan since last year. I'm a born again believer and from my far away perspective he appears to be too. The way he played with passion and fire. He didn't get angry when things weren't going his way. And his willingness to help up a Cookeville player in the heat of the moment is a tell of someone that lives this life the right way.  This game in a lot ways is more than just a game. Take care.

The Upper Cumberland is fortunate to have Upper Cumberland Reporter now because they go to bat for local UC teams. The state media lean towards more city areas in coverage and voting.

YES! Fulton coach has always been a class act. I've been pulling for his teams for years (until they played UHS, I was pulling for them). It's amazing how much influence a coach has on players. It never surprises me when a class coach has class players.

Congratulations Independence! Great game Cookeville. I really really like Jett from Independence. He is not only a baller, he plays with high level of class. I saw him help up a Cookeville player after they got knocked down. And the game was far from over at that point.

Congratulations Independence, I know you wanted this one badly.

I was pulling for Jett and company last year. I really like his game. I'm not this year, though. I hope to see Cookeville win this one.

Granted, I did see Independence crowd cheering for Cookeville to win. I'm not sure it that was a good thing for them though....Cookeville is pretty dang good.

Unbelievable game for Cookeville. I love the passion ,coach Heard showed toward fans afterwards. 

I'm going to predict Cookeville vs Independence for Championship.

The host servers looked to be overloaded at times. Too much traffic for the current set up. Probably why they threw all these ads on here. It gets expensive to run a website with "high power" server services.

Can someone watching Santa Fe VS. NG confirm that last shot was after the buzzer? I'm at game and NG hit shot at buzzer that would have tied it but didn't count. I just wanted to know how close based from online viewing.

Can someone explain to me why the tall bench coach in grey for Chattanooga Prep turned toward Union City to taunt and then turned to Chattanooga Prep fans to try "pump" them up after the 2 technical fouls in the 4th qtr? To me that was classless. Instead of making sure there are no more technicals and no players got involved more, he decided to do that. If our coaches are acting this way, how are the players going behave? Please, someone advise with something intelligent.

Cookeville looked super composed and good. Nice win by them.

Wayne Co was one of the best Class A teams I've ever seen. I was for PC, but that WC team was very good. 

Congratulations to the Pickett County Lady Bobcats on their 6th all-time State Championship! This team was fun to watch and played with great composure throughout the year, especially the State Tournament.
