  1. So yellowball are you saying something is going on here ? You know something we don't ? If so please share it with us and let us all in on your knowledge

    RWR !!!!

I'll bite because something sure does stink!!

I'm going to hedge a bet that Dunbars father played for Gaddis, and has been pushing for his boy to be QB since last season, and now a 12-1 QB watched an entire game from the sidelines when he's worked his butt off to get better all summer.

    THERE......I feel better!!!!

  2. AAA officials were TERRIBLE!!! I'm not a whining fan, just stating facts! I watched a lot of BB this weekend, and will never complain about the refs in our district again. WOW!! If I had to live through officiating incompatency like that all year, I would never go to a game again.

My team was the beneficiary of one of those calls, probably changed the "mo" in our favor and got us the win. We were also the victim in the next game. In saying that, I still would rather see refs that can stay out of the flow of the game and just make calls. These guys got caught up in the games and started making calls the way they liked instead of the way they saw it.

We must do as other states, and have a grading system instead of the good ol' boy system we have now.

  3. Not going to say it cost us the game, but it sure as he** didn't help!!! HORRIBLE CALL!!!!!!

I agree SS, it's not "the reason" OR lost this game, but was an important factor in the game and the momentem. The worst part of the intentional foul call, the fact the same idiot walked into the play on the other end of the court, waved his hands around like he was stopping play so at least half the kids thought play was stopped. Then he just changed his mind like he hadn't done anything, runs down the court and calls a flagrant foul on a player HE PUT IN THAT SITUATION!

  4. Blackman (25-6) vs Hamilton (22-6) -- Hamilton wins

Wilson Central (26-6) vs Brentwood (31-2) -- Brentwood wins

Oak Ridge (30-7) vs Jefferson County (30-5) -- Jeff Co wins close

Siegel (31-1) vs Arlington (28-4) -- Arlington wins

For those who like Jeff. Co. in this one, let me post some very interesting stats that my good friend pointed out to me,

Jeff. Co. hasn't had a game decided by 5 points or less in 3 months. (12-13-13)

Oak Ridge has been involved in games decide by 5 or less 4 games in the last MONTH.

Oak Ridge had a tougher schedule, and did better with it.

This is Jeff. Counties first trip EVER to the Boro, Oak Ridge was there just last year.

I have the Wildcats in this one, close though.

    ROLL CATS!!!!!!

  5. And now there playing for the district championship!! What a job by randy Moore and these kids. There are probably 4-5 teams in our district with better players and have good coaches, but he took a bunch of Rupps Runts and won 20 games, 3rd in district, and in the championship game. Someone in another post on here said coaching was overrated? Well I doubt any other coach in our district could have done this, with this group. Because they wouldnt change there styles to fit there talent, like randy did. I honestly think the way this has played out our district could sweep the other district next week. Any thoughts?

Halls played OR tough tonight, I think they just ran out of gas when the 3's quit falling. Lots of intensity and desire from the Devils, 23 crossed the line a time or 2 on intensity and dirty, but played his heart out.

Great season Wildcats, now go follow it up. No more slow starts!!!

  6. Great game by Powell. Geeez, if everything could've went wrong for OR most of the game it did. Merian with 3 fouls very early. Fields couldn't miss and neither could the rest of Powell's team. They hit a few from Farragut, Clinton, and Oak Ridge it seemed lol. Everything they threw up went in it seemed and everything we threw up didn't. For us to overcome all of that, PLUS playing AT Powell where it is very hard to win and where we have always had trouble winning and still finding a way to win speaks a lot about this OR team. When you can play as bad as we did and still pull of that win says a lot and hopefully will propel us to a great run in the post-season. Can't overlook Halls, though. They are gonna bring it and we need to be ready. That was a game and comeback for the ages.

That was a great game! Your right, Powell could not miss through 3 qtrs. It was impressive.

I would still love somebody to explain how that Ref gave the Powell player the basket on the blocking call against Isaac (2pts) Then called Isaac for the T, and gave him 4 more foul shots!!!

This after a 5 minute discussion at the table. I'm no basketball guru, but I thought he should have recieved 1 free throw for the foul ( remember he got the points for the shot) and 2 free throws for the T. Am I mistaken?

  7. My friend and myself have followed the Wildcats closely this year, and he pointed out a very interesting stat to me.

Of the losses the Cats have this year, all but 1 (Powell)were to AA programs. For some strange reason, I'm glad the Cats are AAA.

  8. Call me crazy, but the Owls are a better all around team with out the big dog. When he played Owls played in a small tunnel. There are very good skilled players over there, that never got to show there wears, they are showing it now, Binder is a stud good recivers, and the cat quick backs IMO make this a very hard team to defend.

Coming from an Oak Ridge fan with a lot of time on his hands.... I was most impressed with the defensive backfield play. Seemed like everytime a pass was there for us, the DB's ran the play down and broke it up. I think if anyone is planning on going for the deep ball in the playoffs, it better not be against the Canes.

With that being said, 42 killed us!! He can tote the mail.

Players were very respectful after the game, had a chance to congratulate a couple on a nice game and they were yes sir, no sir kids, I hope we get to play this program again, they have it going on in East Hamilton.

  9. IF Jalen is hot. If he's not, he can't hit a bull in the #### with a bass fiddle. They can't stick with the pass if Jalen isn't on, or the receivers drop balls. Personally, I'd like to see a few passes to the TE, but I'm a bit biased in that regard.

    WHAT HE SAID!!!!
  10. Our defense is good, but I would feel better if we didn't have a habit of playing two or three really good downs and then giving up a big play. Our safeties and corners need to bring their A game.

We can't go giving up 92 yard runs anymore.

Nobody can afford that in the playoffs. Our defense has played their guts out, I just hope Joe lets this offense loose. I think they play so much better when they play fast and wide open. Some drives it wont work out, but that's the only chance we have in the playoffs. What they've been doing hasn't worked offensively, that's for certain
  11. I can understand, I guess. The trip isn't till the 26th, though. A kid that would throw a game on purpose, that's just wrong. Not saying they will, but is definitely not right nonetheless.

Agreed I think I'm just going to go to this game a proud Wildcat and make some noise!!!!!!
  12. The bears will bring a pretty good team, Maryville will show what a great team looks like, Maryville by as many as they want.

Be glad its at the skeeter, the announcer at BC is annoying!!

    a touchdown = "there's a Bear in the den"

a penalty = "there's laundry on the field"

I threw up a little even thinking about it....lol

  13. I'm seriously concerned that circumstances other than who the best team is will determine the winner of this game. A few players on the team have made it known that they wouldn't mind if they lost this game so the season would be over. There's a little trip to the Bahamas for the basketball team coming up, if they lose this week, the football players who are also on the basketball team like Henderson, would get to go.

I'm not accusing any players of anything, I just wonder if it's in the back of the players minds and if coach Gaddis will make a quick change if he suspects less than 100% from any players.

  14. I thought both defenses played great games. Congrats to AC, the better team last night won the game. You made the big plays when you needed them.

The QB for Oak Ridge absolutley quit on them in the last two drives. That really surprised especially after the 21 point comeback a couple of weeks ago.

  15. Should have it in place by next year Gaddis said at the QB Club meeting last month.

I'm torn. I really enjoy the older traditions like the old emblem, the steps, and hearing 2 bits 4 bits from old man Clark. I also have an appreciation for this generation and the normal progression of this generation making their own mark on the program like the interlocking OR emblem and frankly, turf. Blankenship will be different with turf, and some will say better, and some will say worse.
  16. That kid is awesome! That one TD run was unreal. I thought he was tackled for about a 2 yard gain and BANG, he cut. My dad looked at me with his jaw wide open, he couldn't believe it lol. Kid is special with the ball in his hands.

AGREED. The field looked good tonight, I'm sure all you "old timers" liked seeing the old emblem back on the field!!

  17. Run defense definitely needs to improve, but it seemed like every time Clinton got down around the 20 or 30 our run defense bowed up. Definitely need to improve, though. We are gonna meet much better rushing attacks then Clinton's later on in the season and in the playoffs. Jaylin is a natural at the QB position. Ted Mitchell has some soft hands out there. One thing i saw, which i liked was seeing coach Gaddis chewing butt on the sidelines throughout the WHOLE game. Just like nick saban for alabama he is a perfectionist and never satisfied. He was chewing a** up 44-7.

how about 14!! does he change direction or what. I really like watching him with the ball.
  18. Great game wildcats!! Saw some big hits out there tonight, that's what we need. I still think we are weak against the run, but I also think this Clinton team is going to put up some rushing yards against a lot of teams. They looked much better to me.

Great atmosphere, really enjoyed the game. I was especially grateful to see our cheerleaders welcome Mr. Clark on their mat. Nice touch of class in my book, plus fun to watch. I could have done without the other cheerleaders out there at the same time. Too much going on at once on the sideline, it was borderline annoying.

    9-1....you heard it here first!!
